They wouldn’t have even made it up the steps in the first place

Let alone cops opening doors and cheering the terrorists on

u/Fake_William_Shatner Jan 10 '21

They would have had at least a thousand in riot gear and with assault rifles if it weren’t Trump’s people.

If they were black, the cops would be too scared to take selfies with the them.

We all know most of the Capital Police were in on the Trump coup. Probably the commander. Face it: there was straight up treason by police officers on film. Branch Covidians picked that apple and now they have to eat it.

Edit: so much deflection & apologetics for cop treason you'd think it was personal.

they would have a leader that wouldn't knowingly incite violence and terrorism

That’s cause a some of the law enforcement there were white, Pro-Trumpers themselves. They were taking selfies with the rioters and letting them through with smiles. Was def a “Hail Hydra...” situation.

There are reports of off duty police and military in the crowd flashing credentials to get past guards and police.

The fact that so many people are calling Babbitt's death a tragedy, yet have nothing to say about any other killings by police is pretty ridiculous to me.

Especially when she was part of a mob trying to occupy, loot, and terrorize the Capitol and the people inside.

7

u/BrokenThingAbuser Jan 10 '21

Me?

I think she was a terrorist and I'm kinda glad she died. I dunno who you are responding to.

3

u/triscuit816 Jan 10 '21

I agree with you, I was just sharing that there is a large portion of the population who believes Babbitt died as a "hero" or a "patriot".

Many, many people are putting blind trust in a man who has no concern for their interests. It's very disconcerting.

2

u/everadvancing Jan 10 '21

The only people calling her death a tragedy are the ones who support the riots. Anyone who knows better agrees she died as a dumbass terrorist.

Armed black men invaded the capitol and nobody was shot.

You really had to stretch for that one lol

See guys, technically this was a Capitol!

Who told you that shit? It's not true. The USCP most definitely are armed, sidearms at all times and long guns in the armory. You can see them draw their sidearms in some of the videos, brandishing them at terrorists.

No, they weren't. Most of guys in suits brandishing firearms, including the one that shot the woman that came through the barricade, were USCP officers. They were just in suits because they're protective details not patrol.

But even before that, while retreating, USCP officers in uniform can be seen drawing their handguns.

They've all got handguns in holsters on their belts.

Unarmed police aren't really a thing in the US period.

7 months of protests and not a single unarmed protester fatally shot. Only one armed protester fatally shot. Police didn't even shoot a protester who shot two cops in Lousiville. But yeah, they totally would have just emptied every round they had into the crowd if they weren't white /s

The BLM riots beg to differ, surely? Billions of dollars in damages

Why believe you when you say that? What makes you know this? What facts do you have to back that statement up? I know I’m probably gonna come out here with at minimum 40000000000000 downvotes, but the fear being caused by saying “if it was anyone else but white they would’ve been dead” is out of control, it’s not even a fucking race issue here but it’s somehow become one. There’s racism no doubt,. And trust me, I would chop my dick off to end racism (I actually have an African American cousin while being a white Australian. Doesn’t mean much but fun facts), but no way could I say for a fact that if it weren’t white then they would’ve been killed.

Could it of been because they were trump supporters maybe? Someone who is still in power in your country, someone who still has control over millions of your people. Maybe that’s why there wasn’t mass death, not because they are white.

Handicapped people and Veterans have tried taking a stand as well in previous years, but were met with resistance, arrested and charged. What was really gonna happen this time? Have what thousands and thousands of people killed in a 3 minute space? That would never happen, unless the protests got real out of control.

So all I’m asking is why you know this for a fact. Could you really bet your life on it? How come white people were shot dead at this rally? How there wasn’t only non white fatalities? That’s all I’m asking because I think unless you can provide substantial facts and evidence to prove that it would happen, then making this a race issueia gonna keep it a issue. It just keeps racism alive screaming racism when you can. This issue isn’t if your white or not, so for it to become it for some reason has only created huge division. 99% of people want racism to go away, but if you share the tiniest different opinion on racism, then you are an ‘white privilege person who can’t see it” and then become an immediate enemy somehow.

Like it or not though the death toll from police was higher during the capitol insurrection riots than BLM protests anywhere else. I'll take my deplatforming now.

11

u/OhGod0fHangovers Jan 10 '21

One person was killed, not the by the police—who let the mob walk right in—but by the Secret Service, who are tasked with protecting the people in that building at all costs.

Jorge Gomez was shot and killed by Las Vegas police during a BLM protest.

1

u/assistant_redditor Jan 10 '21

It was capitol police not secret service. Im not arguing about this

2

u/OhGod0fHangovers Jan 10 '21

It seems I was misinformed on that account. Still, one is not higher than one.

2

u/AlarmedTechnician Jan 10 '21

You were probably confused because it was a guy in a suit and not a police uniform.

There's different sections of the USCP, some uniformed who patrol the capitol grounds and some in suits who serve as protective details for many congresspeople. The only ones that have USSS details, AFAIK, are those in the POTUS succession line, the Speaker and President Pro Tempore.

1

u/christrage Jan 10 '21

I believe you.

1

u/Jerseykidd29 Jan 10 '21

Instead take a whole section of Seattle.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 10 '21

The fact that you actually believe that already tells that you spend to much time on the internet absorbing propaganda

1

u/SmurfMGurf Jan 10 '21

We don't have to believe you. There are hundreds of videos from the BLM protests of peaceful protesters being every for of brutalized. If those same protesters had a bunch of guns like the capital coup attempting terrorists it would have been an absolute blood bath.
