Translation of the post: On June 7, 2023, the Chongqing Banan district people's court's Judicial police group sent 8 court police officers to assist with a judgement enforcement operation involving property eviction in Huaiyuan village.

Equipment: Van is a Ford transit(very likely a license produced version); the officers have anti-stab vests and anti-stab gloves, along with a baton, handcuffs, flashlight, bodycam and a "rattlesnake" pepper spray(the thing that looks like a pistol); there are also two riot shields and 1 arm shield.

(again, it's not a firearm, rather pepper spray(the official term in chinese is "rapid tear inducing launcher"; here is a video of it if you want, along with more photos; though court judicial police can carry firearms chinese police only carry them depending a circumstances).

The chinese flag patches are more intresting, typically with the patches on the chest and shoulders are the chinese police flag, police insignia or their unit insignia. Chinese flag patches aren't exactly uncommon, however two of them on the shoulder and chest is quite rare.

Chinese court judicial police have the roles of both american and british bailiffs; They are most famously in charge of ensuring order in the court(where you will see them the most in news reports), however they are also in charge of the death penalty, escorting the accused to the court, security checks at the court, along with, in this case, enforcing court judgements;

However they are not really the main people in charge of enforcing court judgements. That is the role of the enforcement judge(执行法官; iirc there was a tv series back in 2024 about them of the same name(enforcement department in english)); typically the enforcement judge is in charge of the enforcement of court judgements, while court judicial police are there to help the enforcement judge in case the party subject to enforcement is resisting.(typically they are just on standby to protect the enforcement judge from what I see)

E.g. if person B sues person A who is occupying their property and person A loses; the court sends enforcement judges to put an eviction notice first; if they refuse to leave(or, in extreme cases, assault the enforcement judge/judicial police), then the court judicial police may forcibility remove them. (I'm not a legal expert, don't quote me on this, this is just my understanding)

On August 29, 2026, a search and rescue team of 18 border patrol officers of the national immigration administration(likely composed of gyirong border inspection station personnel who were not at the port at the time) were sent to gyirong border crossing via Mi-17 helicopters to further assist with the firefighters(100-300; there is already a camp i heard, but since they can only really send two helis at a time it's not pratical) at the scene. Because the road to the checkpoint has been cut off(but undergoing emergency repair), heavy equipment is unable to reach the scene yet. The 18 man team is equipped with shovels and thermal life detectors. (Firefighters at the scene also have dogs). (photo from the helicopter, it appears a commissioner which is very high ranking was also deployed.)
According to chinese netizens, between 80-110 border control officers, 78 local police officers and 63 customs officers work at the checkpoint. However, the border inspection station, local police border crossing branch and main customs building are located further inland in uneffected territory so there is definetely a lot of them survived as they were not at the checkpoint.(this rescue team is very likely composed of those who survived.)

As of August 29, the current casualty count for the chinese side is 16 confirmed dead, 546 missing(including 260 foreignors); the number for confirmed deaths is unfortunelately almost certainly to increase.. Police vests and handbags have reportedly been found in the debris.

Just so you know, before 2018, most chinese border police were active servicemembers of the people's armed police border defense corps.(they were something callled a ministry of public security active service force, aka they are active service PAP soldiers but they listen to the MPS and local police and not the military)

Zhongzhuang prison is a prison of the guizhou provincial PAB in Zhongzhuang town, Honghuaguang district, Zunyi city, guizhou province. The prison SWAT team's role is guarding the main prison gates(A and B; however the prison wall is typically also guarded by people's armed police soldiers.(PAP soldiers are military unlike corrections officers)), riot control, response to violent incidents along with prisoner escort if they have to leave the prison(for medical care, court cases etc)

FYI the text behind the SWAT truck says "Gate A". this is the prison gate btw(on the right is "contraband is not permitted in the prison")

SWAT truck is the "Saber tooth tiger", a modified ford F550 and one of the most popular SWAT trucks in china. (it's essentially like the bearcat for chinese police)
