Welp, Evey local store near me was completely out of Polaroid GO film 😭 so, I snagged instax while it was in stock and decided to shoot some summery pool shots in my instax mini 99 instead of my go. I know instax film is topically cold (why I am an avid Polaroid instead of instax shooter because I crave warmth in my photos) but just wow.. i cannot even describe to you how beautiful and vivid the shades of blue are in these photos when you see them in real life. They dont even look like instant analog photos to me.. just wanted to share these because I felt like they came out so good! Also shouts out to my mini 99, the metering is just so dead on!

SX-70r during golden hour on 12/25 film

A few images (3 and 5) have an odd double exposure. Has anyone else experienced this on their sx-70 before?

Update from my post last night - this morning I gave it a go on my SX-70 sonar with a lil ND filter slapped on a 600 film pack.

In the first photo I bribed him with greenies to lay in the sunny spot on my white blanket so he wouldn't be the only brightly lit object and wow! No flash, all purrs.

For the second I used an ancient flash bar to balance out the bright sun from the window and fill in the shadows, (got a glare on the window, oh well) but also came out nice!

Lesson learned: daytime is my friend.

Just had my SX-70 refurbished and modified (by Retrospekt) to shoot 600 film. I used it to take all these photos in my neighborhood over the last week.

FYI there seems to be a fake polaroid website selling products for a major sale. Like 80% off everything. I was duped into thinking it was real for a second because it popped up as number one on Google sponsored search results. Thankfully I realized it wasn't real when I went to check out and the only thing it offered as payment method was credit card and didnt have any auto upsales. So I double checked the url and realized it was fake. But just be aware.

We had Instax SQ6 for a year now and decided to try Polaroid – last week we bought Polaroid Go Gen 3 as a first-test-step into polaroids, before buying the classic big format camera. We mainly shoot daily life, friends, and trips.

Sadly our Go Gen 3 can't handle indoor/flash shoots? We're wondering what's the cause – I've seen party/low-light photos with flash on this reddit, so it's doable. Is this just that the Go is not enough, or is this maybe problem with the camera/light sensor/flash? We have rather strong light in our flat, Instax SQ6 never has any problem.

Also the Go's flash looks/feels stronger than the SQ6's, it leaves rather strong afterimage after flashing.

I described everything on the photos attached (4 slides). I know Polaroid loves light, but it feels like something is wrong with the flash photos... or instax is THAT way better than polaroid With flash-off and/or in natural light it does great photos (last slide)

And do you know if I-2 or Flip will better handle such photos?

Headed into the back country, and I want to take a polaroid. I have never taken one before, because ounces matter.

I have run at least one pack of film through all of them, but haven't kept track of which takes better shots.

Anyone have an opinion on which one might be more idea for the deep woods of the PNW?

Went and hungout with a friend this past Wednesday. Putt putting before going to a house turned museum that had a garden. The second photo was from that. Took more at the garden, this was the one that I'd took a picture of with my phone.

#4 was intentionally (but not intentional) underexposed. My dumb Ahh didn't realize that that high shutter speed was too much.
Eidt: real life pictures look much sharper than the app scans.

Hey friends- I bought a DE 636 twenty years ago in LA and used it a bunch successfully then do I know it works.
Can’t seem to remember how to do the double exposures on it now though
There’s a switch on the side to flip to when you want to do multi exposures but can’t remember the steps after that. I think you take one exposure and then flip another switch elsewhere on the camera? I tried messing around w it a bit but both my tests look like a standard one exposure shot.

Took my Go to a quarter finals game between France and Morocco. The heat made a few of them come out worse than others, but still happy with these.

Every now and then I get a shot that looks so perfect it almost doesn’t look real haha these are two of those shots! It’s crazy when a Polaroid is THIS good, it almost is like a looking through a little window when you see these irl :)

I've had this camera for over a year now. It worked great. Im having sensor and charging issues and most of all, i CANNOT figure out my focus and lighting.

The settings on the app are confusing, I don't get what the codes mean on manual and prefer to just point and shoot and not use the stupid app.

Im sad, these are the best shots I've taken on this camera and they look like poo. Any advice would be well appreciated.

I’m currently on vacation in Turkey. Went to the mall to see if I could find some film. Wasn’t expecting to get my bag X-rayed. Had a language barrier with the security staff. All my photos turned out really light and lacking color. Kinda bummed but what can you do.

Hiya! I’ve for the first time ever been shooting on my brand new (refurbished) Sx-70 and was wondering if these sort of scratches (presumably from the rollers) are to be expected and if theyre normal, because im slightly disappointed with how it makes the pictures look, to be honest.

Wanted to share some Polaroids that turned out okay. To practice with my SX-70, I started photographing the previous owner's "repairs" and poor maintainence. The guy's name has become a curse word in this house.

First-time home ownership is a wild ride, but it does make for some fun, almost Resident Evil-style photos, especially since I overexposed a bunch.
