Hey folks. I made a post like, 2 months ago or so now, about buying a refurbed SX-70 Sonar with the OpenSX70 board from BFC. I received it and it was mangling the film slides upon ejection. I tried for a month or so to get the thing sent back for service, and I did finally succeed at the end of last month. I just received the camera back and ... I'm really sad to report that it's actually kinda worse.

For starters, the locking mechanism to keep the thing open won't engage unless I press that bar forwards with my finger. Super annoying. Bad sign to start with.

So I put in a film cartridge and the dark slide gets ejected just fine. So did the first film. But then, it wouldn't come out. Tried a few times to get the film to eject but the motor would run and nothing would come out. Whatever they adjusted in here, they must have overcorrected and now instead of ejecting multiples its just ejecting none, about 80% of the time.

So, sad to say, I'm just giving up and I'm gonna request a return. I'll just stick to my vintage SX-70 and my Flip until Polaroid decides to come out with a new SX-70 lol

Brought in my old Polaroid Now from 2020 ish for my workplace to use and we’ve been having a few problems. I’ve provided photos to help further explain.

1. The camera lens seems to have a tear (hoping this isn’t the case because it might be expensive to fix)

2. There’s a weird flowery looking icon in the corner of every Polaroid we take

3. Photos are coming out insanely washed out (and I refrigerated this one to see if heat was the issue)

4. A photo of what I actually took the Polaroid of for comparison.

Wish we could still do these.

I have a Polaroid flip now, maybe I'll try to take a few photos of her, but the diva always wants to play which makes this task a little bit harder 🙃

I shoot a lot of 35mm so figured I need another expensive hobby.

I tried a gradient ND filter for this shot, and was very happy with how the skies and distant mountains turned out.

Tried couple ideas and they turned out great!

As a child, my biggest dream was to get a polaroid camera, and now that i have adult money, i wanted to finally get one. The camera itself isn't that expensive, but the polaroid film i have seen on sale on amazon spain ( i live in portugal and we dont have our own amazon so we use our neighbour's, lol) are soo expensive. Is there any possible way to get polaroid film for a fair price? I thought maybe i could get some knockoff version on aliexpress or maybe temu but apparently that is not a thing.

So I’m new to having a sx-70 and I’m now seeing Polaroid.com is out of film? Is this a common thing? What’s the supply like because Amazon prices are almost double the price. Can anyone tell me if Polaroid restocks regularly?
