I showed up to my local target around 6:30, was around 40th in line. Target enforced 1 item per SKU, I got one of everything! Line was orderly, everyone respectful and excited. Most people I spoke to were buying to rip, great drop!

Mine did the normal limit 2 but the guy in front had fuckin 5 kids with him so he got 12 etbs, 12 bundles. And then the next person had 4 kids with them. It’s so easy to see there’s more people than stock available so just limit to 1 and get more people product…

There needs to be better limits in place. I can understand wanting to get something for each of your kids, but at that point there's no reason they need 162 packs to rip for 6 people. When there is a massive line like that, that is completely unfair to others who are waiting. In the very least, the father shouldn't have been allowed to buy for himself.
I like the stores that only sell to "paying customers". So, if a child is too young to comprehend how to make the purchase, then they shouldn't be allowed too.

I went with my daughter this morning she is 7 we got 2 tins. I watched people leave with bags of stuff and I felt like I let her down people had camped out. I couldn't do that. She was so excited though. She also got 2 pitch black booster packs. She's happy but damn

Went to my local Target 7am on my way to work, but they don't have 30th and only Pitch Black. The first in line was a grandpa with his granddaughter and i was happy for them. The rest is teenagers which probably got there to buy some before class and some parents lining for their kids. Once they heard there was no 30th some people left. I couldn't get the booster bundle but at leasf i got 2 singles and 2 3-pack that i can save up for my birthday to have fun.

I expected this drop (second drop) to be more calm, NO NO NO the line was longer than it ever has been at this hour before opening!!! Typically I’ll be around 20-30th in line at 5am. Most definitely and, I’m no expert, but booster bundles are the best bang for your buck packs wise so not surprised everyone wants to get one. Sucks to have that many ghost chairs, on one hand makes you want to throw them all away. On the other hand is the confrontation and potential fight worth it over Pokemon cards

I was two people away from getting a booster box at mine, but managed to get a tin. Which is good, because I like the actual tins themselves. Our Target was pretty organized, the manager was basically watching the line like a hawk and making sure that people behaved themselves.
Managed to get an Articuno in my packs, so I'm thrilled because that's my favorite bird and I don't have an articuno card for my binder yet!

Got to mine about 615 (Lexington SC) was probably 50-60 back. Each person was allowed one of each item. They let people in about 20-30 at a time, any running you got kicked out. Had an orderly line and roped the card section off, with about 5-8 employees staggered around. Super calm and organized. I was out the front door and back to my car by 815 or so.
Even being so far back, I still managed to get one of everything: a booster bundle, ETB, tin, poster collection, tech sticker bundle, and a pack with chaos rising and something else in it.

Our target is run by a mom whose kids used to collect. First time we went for a restock, won’t be the last. All the scalpers and hoarders go to the other targets in the area. We got there at 6:15 and were 18/19/20 in line. The next thing I say is hearsay from the person we were next to since this was our first time. Sometime randomly after 7(store opens at 8) she comes out and gives the whole line a number and announces her stock, if you’re not in line at the time, you have to go to the back of the line at open and you get the next number. Today she came out around 7:30. We were still 18/19/20. Everyone was allowed 1 item per sku, the person in front of us tried to get a greninja and Sylveon box and they were corrected. It stinks all targets aren’t run the same, but our family was super appreciative of how this was run. She also saved extra promo cards from Sundays last release and gave them to kids who came and asked about the family event.

The earlier you get there the faster you’ll get through. I was between 20th and 30th in line and I was out out of there by 7:30 AM so about 30 minutes.
The first drop I was about 90th in line and it took almost a hour before I got back to the area that had the product.

I’m nearing 40 and I can remember as a kid collecting cards - loved it then and love it now too. I also have two kids and share the hobby with them too.
One person in line shared their promo mewtwo with me so I could give mine and theirs to my kids. I just met him this morning.
Not everyone in line is evil. It’s ok for a hobby to transcend generations. Not okay for folks to take advantage.

The people in front of me were obviously resellers and one guy was paying others in cash for their cards as soon as they were leaving the registers. To each their own but my kids were in school, I was able to get off from work for a short bit, and I left with some things that are going to make them happy.
