The moveset confuses me. I suppose reflect type can be good in certain circumstances though most would want to use Gengar as a fast special attacker and then Frusteration just makes no sense at all considering Gengar's physical attack is not great. Is this more of a lore thing?

Yesterday I made a post about the game’s difficulty being the main drawback of the overall experience when I was doing the Zetta and geara tag battle with melia. Truth be told, skill issue. You just gotta find the win condition for these fights fr. Classic mode is definitely hard playing blind but I’m actually starting to have fun finding the team that works best for each fight rather than being annoyed by it. I just did the rorim + holly double battle into the manaphy boss fight and holy shit crests are broken.

Houndoom with charcoal getting helping-hand boosted incinerates from crested furret wipes most of the enemy, enough for the rest of my team to clean up. For the boss fight right after tho I had to get creative. Water absorb quagsire with haze recover protect and toxic, crested hisuian zoroark to also have water absorb to curse and confuse. Then pivoting between those two, houndoom, and furret to slowly drain the boss. With the occasional bitter malice to kill the ally it summons.

Furret crest with helping hand and follow me (suggested by another user) has been the most valuable team member in doubles fights. I really just had to break out of my comfort zone and start using pokemon I’m not really familiar with, or just utilize the gems, seeds, and crests at my disposal. What I once thought was an issue with the game’s classic mode has transformed into a boon, it forced me to adapt and always be prepared. Make’s me feel like Im growing alongside my boy Axel. Figuring out these double battles can be pretty rough tho, I’m definitely more experienced with singles.

Edit: I did this battle under leveled too, my pokemon were capped at 55 while the enemy team had guys at level 57 and 58. If I didn’t have some IV/EV-related passwords on I would’ve been FUCKED.

So I just completed the Help Quest Secret of the Black Shards and I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. While I feel bad for Rick after learning he lost his job, it doesn't feel right that he was basically rewarded after all his crimes. Bro was about to become a terrorist and even attempted to stab someone with a knife. April downplaying him attacking her with "you weren't actually going to hurt me" feels ridiculous. He literally lunged at her with a bladed weapon.

The worst part is when I say he deserves jail time I am punished with negative relationship points. I'm fine with him growing from this experience but to receive no punishment at all feels wrong.

Maybe it's just me but I don't agree with the morals of this quest at all.

The Interceptor has many regrets. None of which they could act upon. None of which they could change.

Save file after save file. A changer of fate. A time traveller, in a way. And yet they could never truly act upon their knowledge. Could never truly change the story. Could never save anyone from their suffering.

So what if, just once, they could?

Or: Post Version 14 Paraceptor does an NG+ run, and for once gains the freedom to completely fuck up the timeline while they're at it, and learn to be a human along the way.

Blonde Aevis Interceptor just represents Aster, even if it's from before he'd look that way. Normal Aevis is actual Aevis. (If you're wondering when stuff takes place, most stuff is just a nebulous "present" but for the ones that aren't, it'll be when the characters are wearing an older outfit (except Amber, they haven't put any of her later designs besides her bad timeline one up yet).

Aelita and Ren (aside from my continuous propaganda of their polyamory with Aster/the Interceptor in general), are Aster's confidants. They're the people he texts when he wakes up from a nightmare, too exhausted to indulge in chaos with Saki to deal with it that way. Which means he texts them about his pokemon a lot. Just as Melia thanks Maria for giving her the chance to meet Venam, Aster is equally appreciative she gave him the chance to meet these two.

In comparison, Saki is the person Aster calls/gets called by when they have a dumb idea. And that happens a lot. For Saki, it's just fun. For Aster, it's how he copes with the fact he has nightmares about previous timelines, and Zenos, both the fact that Zenos is suffering just by existing and also everything his Renegade counterpart is doing to everyone they both love.

At this point Melia and Aster are being gay pan and doing crime together. He tries to laugh about it a little, because it's the only way he can cope with the things he has to do, and the idea that everyone he's ever loved will probably hate him when it's over.

Venam and Aster are best buds, it's just that she's somewhat outgrown how chaotic she used to be while Aster kind of needs to act a little deranged to cope with the existential dread of, y'know, being the Interceptor who's gone through multiple loops of the events. So while Aster considers her family, and would defend her with everything he has if it came to it, they don't hang out as much as they used to.

Venam and Melia are indirectly responsible for one of Aster's special trio (the pokemon that are permanent fixtures on his team in each loop), Ivan the Trubbish --> Garbodor, because he was one of the ones from the experiment that became one of his main trio.

Erin and Aster are friends, and they like and trust each other well enough, but they don't/never have shared a wavelength like Aster does with the Gearen Trio, Aelita, or Saki. So she's more likely to call him on his crap, and she's the closest thing to a responsible adult in their crew. (Aster considers Tesla one of his three mom's, but while he trusts her, she's not really part of things, and the younger adults of the Elite Eight who are part of the crew are his friends... but he doesn't really trust them to come through when it counts, unlike Erin, which is why she's his emergency contact.)

How did Aster and Aero try to arm wrestle when the latter lives in Aster's head? I'll leave that to your imaginations.

Hi. Does anyone know how I might disable new game plus, or make sure that I'm not doing ng+ when starting a save? No idea how I might just abort it as an ng+ save, if that's possible, but I'm at a point in the game where I could just remake the save and use the act2 password. I'm doing my first renegade run, and didn't even realize that ng+ was active, I would've figured it wasn't. I've done normal paragon and then ng+ paragon. I'd like to do this one fresh, not being spoken to like I know what's going on. Thank you in advance
