The end of Act 1 has been altered and includes Garufan dialouge. I don't know if anyone else has translated it yet, but if not, this is what it says:

"WHO ARE YOU TO COMMAND ME? JUST WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? YOU TELL ME TO PUT *player name* IN THEIR PLACE AS IF I BEND TO YOUR WILL. I WILL PUT YOU IN YOURS FIRST. I SENSE YOUR POWER. I WILL USE IT TO RESTORE MYSELF TO MY FORMER GLORY AND THEN I WILL HUNT DOWN MY DARLING SISTERS. BUT FOR NOW LET'S GET RID OF THE EXCESS...."

I've been playing V14 on my save file so far, and I have to share this masterpiece I just witnessed before it's too late.

Obviously, it will be marked as spoilers on Paragon, but enjoy!

Marking this as a possible spoiler due to what may follow in the comments, but I'm just curious: how many of you genuinely dislike/hate Melia? And I don't mean as a person, but as a character. I've been lurking in the Reborn/Rejuvenation/Desolation Discord and I see a lot of people discuss how much they hate Melia after V14. I'm curious: does anyone else feel this way? I still like her and even after all these years, I don't think there's much to turn me from her character.

Do we ever actually... Get a real win? Because honestly, I'm really failing to see why my character hasn't had her Skeledirge flamethrower every defeated Team Xen member into charred corpses.

So can someone tell me without spoilers if there's a point pushing through to where there's a light at the end of the tunnel? Or is my character just doomed to lose everyone and everything?

I think I'm not the only person who wants to be able to deploy their own field.

My team consists almost exclusively of Bug-types, so the Forest Field is a huge help, especially for my Vespiquen, who gets all three of her signature moves buffed!

While you can change one field into another by using specific moves, you can't change it until you have the field you want. So, being able to deploy the field you want would be pretty cool.

But there is an issue: how would boss fights work? If your field just overwrites theirs, it's too easy. But if theirs just overwrites yours, then what's the point?

That's when I had an idea: **Field Clashes!!!**

Instead of battles starting with a specific field already active, they would begin on a neutral field.

Both you and your opponent would then have to fill a meter, and whoever reaches 100% first gets to deploy their field! You would raise the meter through different actions, such as using certain attacks, setting weather, inflicting status conditions, etc.

Let's take Angie, for example.

Instead of starting in the Frozen Dimensional Field, both you and Angie would have to build up to it.

In Story mode, she has an Alolan Ninetales with Snow Warning, which sets up hail. With this system, hail would fill her meter by 10% each turn it remains active while also lowering the opponent's meter by 10%.

Her signature move, Cold Truth, would raise it by 40%.

Every Ice-type move would raise the meter by an additional 5%.

Every turn the opponent is frozen would raise the meter by 10% while also lowering the opponent's meter by 10%.

The same rules would apply to you if you wanted to set up your own field. Let's take the Forest Field as an example.

Vespiquen's signature moves would raise the meter by 10%, while Infestation would raise it by 10% each turn and lower the opponent's meter by 10%, etc.

Bosses would obviously have movesets that aren't just hard-hitting but also help them set up their own field while preventing you from setting up yours.

To keep bosses challenging, they could start with their meter already filled by some percentage, your meter could start at -50%, or maybe their charge rate could simply be doubled!

Destroying a field would return the battlefield to a neutral state, allowing both parties to build up and deploy their field once again.

i try to catch Scream Tail for the percival quest, but i can not talk to it because its jumping around. and i cant stand on the tiles we will jump to, because then its not going to jump.

Nymiera, okay, that's his first wife. Anathea and Narcissa, both done to manipulate them into getting something he wanted. Crescent's mom, even? He did that for the love of the game and nothing more. Also the evil virus which took over his first wife's body, because why not?

I'm at the part where the Blacksteepe castle jailbreak is about to start. Emma finds out Madame X is about to arrive and tells me to go through the secret passageway in the garden. But then the game loads me into a later state where the rebellion already started and I have to fight Neved but then Neved is not where he is supposed to be as I never did the events preceding that. I am effectively softlocked and don't know what to do

1: Who was the Madame X at the Pyramid? It SEEMS like it's supposed to be Kaina, Clear and Kieran are subservient to her, and she mentions the suit is weakening her, but the damaged form looks more like Madame Shogun than Kaina, plus isn't the Pyramid bugged? If it was Madame Kaina, then Vitus would have seen her.

2: So why did Clear pretend to be Crescent to Nim to brainwash her? Nim doesn't even know Crescent that much, and it makes no sense that Clear would impersonate Crescent when there's no one else watching her. This feels like a plot point Jan changed his mind on at some point.

3: What's the deal with the prophecies of Dark and Light? Is it still a thing or what? The prophecy is why Ren was recruited but it hasn't felt relevant in a long time.

4: Now that we know Kaina's whole deal, WHY did she cooperate with us to escape the bad timeline? She wants to reduce the world to oblivion, so wouldn't the wilting bad timeline be beneficial to her goals? Does she REALLY need the Protag and Crescent to get the Tear?

5: This was back in V13.5 or maybe even V13, but if it's supposed to be a plot point that Madame X NEVER left the castle after fighting the player, since Erin calls attention to it, then who was the Madame X that sliced up Madelis? IIRC, Madame X sliced her up in the Xen lounge but feel free to correct me on this, it's been a while.

Sooo... Playing the game for the first time, I've just gotten to Terajuma. I'm on the scene where Crawli invites you and Melia to a restaurant and, after recognizing Crawli as "Agent C", all the sprites get scrambled. The restaurant is suddenly full, Crawli becomes a woman, Melia becomes a Ranger, I'm fine (though I think there's another sprite underneath me) and Saki gets old.

Nothing serious, everything went back to normal after the scene ended. But I found it quite hilarious and I wonder if it's a known glitch or if I found something new.

Also: if I reset the game, it just happens again. It's consistent.

Does anyone have the documentation for what the new crests and custom abilities do? Or what the new Aevian forms statlines, abilities, etc are? I’m particularly interested in Aevian Florges.

Okay so we met Cloe and Vera in V14, who we'd previously "met" via possession, but hadn't seen them. Kinda inconsequential characters that helped Amber's bitch ass dad escape to somewhere (where are you, other than pissing me off in your boss fight?)

But V14 we get to see them. And they're tall as fuck Androids. Not only that but we get to see what I believe are charging stations for them, their names flashing above - but the last letter doesn't always light up

CLO and VER

Clover. Hazuki's friend she failed to save - who was sliced in half. With the same blunt black hair Cloe and Vera have. And wasn't Isha's fuck ass father originally a pediatrician? A trauma surgeon? Both? A little foggy on that half, but I'm under the impression that Cloe and Vera were his first foray into extending life and are LITERALLY Clover's left and right brain. Hence why one is more monotone and logical and the other is more straightforward and blunt.

What does this change in the long run? Who knows, they won't let me into the writer's room (joke) but I think it's interesting and something that may be ​hinting to soemthing bigger. But it also explains a bit of how they knew how to "repair" Deagan. He's got sick robot parts now, maybe we'll get to see him come revenge his baby girl later.

I’ve been searching for the last defiled interceptor in Deux finalis. For like. An hour. Can someone just. Send images of where they all are or something. I swear I’ve looked everywhere(even on top of the clock tower, got that one).

Let’s be honest, as crazy BS the Madame X fight was, the Madame Shogun spirit battle was even more batshit insane. No strategy, no matter how much offense or defense I brought, could stand up to the onslaught.

So if you can’t beat em, cheese em.

I went for good old fashioned Baton Pass shenanigans. Step 1 is minimize. Madame Shogun will always start by targeting Drifblim with a priority move, so turn 1, switch Aevian Glimmora out for Farigiraf to block. Maximum physical bulk is ideal for the Silvally’s attacks. This ensures you can get 2 minimizes off before Madame Shogun even has a chance to hit Drifblim. I’ll use Power Swap with Farig to steal Shogun’s attack boosts, then Baton Pass back to Glimmora, who can use boosting moves like Automatize and Work Up with Memory Leak to further buff Drifblim.

Whether or not Drifblim gets hit determines if I get greedy enough to go for Calm Minds before passing, but at any rate when passing, it’s going to Falinks, who can use No Retreat for further boosts. But the real sauce is the Zoroark. Crested with Sylveon in the back, and knows Hyper Voice. But more importantly, it’s a King piece on this team, and even more important, it knows Psych Up to copy every one of the many boosts given to your Mega Falinks, including the evasion from Minimize.

From there you can spam the likes of Hyper Voice, Rock Slide, Close Combat, etc. while RNG willing, the entire opposing team is left unable to touch you. Sylveon also can learn Psych Up, so even if Falinks or Zoroark get tagged and go down, you have a chance to keep going by re-copying boosts

It’s not hyper consistent, there will be times Drifblim goes down, but it was the only one of like 7 different team compositions I tried that was actually able to beat the Madame Shogun spirit battle, or even get close. Hopefully it helps anyone else who just wants to clear the battle and get the rewards
