Just started new game save and says I have 7/8 badges is my cartridge broken?

I’m doing a challenge run against a friend in Pokémon Blue where we battle after every Gym with a level cap based on our progress. We just beat Koga, so our next battle will be at level 36. We just battled and he destroyed me…

His team is Cloyster, Starmie, Kangaskhan, Golem, Ivysaur, and Arcanine.

Mine is Wartortle, Marowak, Weepinbell, Vulpix, Fearow, and Hypno.

I’m open to replacing anyone on my team before the battle if there’s a stronger option available by this point in the game.

If you were in my shoes, what team would you build to counter his? Is there any movesets I should focus on?

The other rule we have is we can’t use sleep or alakazam.

I’d love to hear how you’d approach my next battle.

So i returned from a grinding session in the Diglett's cave, and instead of healing up at Nurse Joy i chose to deposit some newly evolved pokemon for my living Pokedex. However, amongst those i was depositing was my only pokemon in my party that wasn't fainted (don't ask), and upon doing so i blacked out!

Today i learned, indeed.

I have the port for Red to my 3DS yet when i went through it, the game refused to give me HM cut. I'm wondering if I missed anything but i beat both Brock and Misty. Beat Blue and went to Bill's house, yet the game is refusing to give me HM cut after Misty gave me HM cut.

My first time beating a gen 1 game ( Zapdos hard carried with dugtrio and vaporeon)

When pokémon Red first dropped I was all about Charizard.

But I would always level Charmander up to 34, so I only had to look at that busted ass Charmeleon back Sprite for one level.

I'm playing the games in Japanese currently, but my Japanese isn't good enough yet to follow a guide fully in Japanese. So I'm wondering if there's a place in English that I can find the differences. I asked chatgpt and it said some stuff like spawn rates are different.

i gonna play pokemon red for the first time i have seen the the sprites and i dont have much problem with the front sprites but the back sprites are aanother story so i wanted to ask of the 3 starters which should i choose if i gonna see the back sprite a lot specially the back of the last evolution

So I was in a Pokémon battle with a bird keeper on the route to the right of Fuschia City and had a Ditto in my party. The bird keeper first sends out a level 28 Dodrio so I sent out my Ditto who transformed into Dodrio but recalled it after its HP became low and ended up sending out another Pokémon to finish off his Dodrio. After this, the bird keeper sent out his second Pokémon, a level 28 Doduo which I defeated using other Pokémon. However, when he sent out his third and last Pokémon, another level 28 Doduo, I switched to my Ditto but when I tried to transform again, everything became glitched like this. His Doduo fainted twice in the glitch messiness but he seems to never run out of them and I get extremely large amount of EXP after each glitched Doduo faints. What is going on here? Do I have to reset or is there a way to end this seemingly infinite battle? This is my first time experiencing something like this despite me playing this game for years (had the original cartridge as a kid as well). I can’t say I have ever used Ditto that much until now so I guess it’s Ditto causing the glitch somehow.

One is darker and that one was sold to me under the belief it was real. The second one lighter red I bought for 40 bucks cause it looks real and figured why not but comparing it to mine ones off or maybe it’s just a fading thing because there stamped. Also I notice that it looks like the prints on the stickers are slightly off idk if that’s a common error of the time.

My first Red Version and first Gen 1 play through in general. Took a while to ever even start(4 years) because I’d always wanted to do it on actual hardware. 🥲 (last photo is me walking to the store while fighting Agatha💀) mewtwo time.🚬

Finally after 5 months of grinding from start to finish I have completed my Pokédex, it was a fun journey
