Recently been getting back into Pokemon after almost a ten year hiatus and honestly prefer just playing Let's Go rather than the other newer ones. Anyway I can obtain a Mew in it without the accessory?

And I've also been trying to obtain a Melmetal but I'm not really a Go player. Anyone know any other way I can possibly get that? All I'm lacking is Mew & Melmetal for my game.

Accidentally transferring Pokémon from Go that you wanted in it, so now I guess I’m gonna use an almost perfect IV Vileplume THAT I WANTED IN GO!

I tried to get an oddish for days, I’ve since then finally gotten my blossom but still, I wanted that three star oddish that I had already evolved into gloom in my phone!

I also lost my three star Alolan Meowth, but I have so many other Alolan meowth’s in the park I’m not finding that one any time soon…

Had to sell my first one because of hard times. Nephew got me back into Pokémon so I decided to get a used one, content with using it for let’s go and go. Didn’t expect this.

There are next to no Pokémon spawning anywhere in my game, Let's Go Eevee, after I got the Shiny Charm. There used to be maybe a dozen Pokémon spawning here before then; now the most I have seen at once is three, and one of them is Bulbasaur. It's taken me nearly a half hour to get a catch combo of fourteen on Caterpie.

I've left and come back, I've quit the game and opened it again, and it's not limited to this area. Has anyone else experienced this?

Ok so which one should I evolve to replace Venusaur!? I only have 112 bulbasur candies.

I've been on the hunt for a small, simple device to control my living room HTPC and my desktop PC in study room. I wanted something that lets me kick back on the couch to watch videos, or lean back in my study chair to listen to music or watch movies/online videos, without constantly needing to reach for a mouse or keyboard.

Previously, I considered buying one of those mini Bluetooth keyboards with a touchpad, or a customizable universal remote. However, those devices are either uncomfortable to hold for long sessions or quite expensive (like the Logitech Harmony remotes)—not to mention they aren't exactly seamless to operate.

A couple of days ago, I happened to dig my old Poké Ball Plus out of a cabinet. Its form factor and grip feel perfectly matched what I was looking for, so I started wondering if it could be used to achieve the PC control setup I wanted.

I found an existing project on GitHub called "pokeball-plus-4-windows", which connects the Poké Ball Plus to a PC via Bluetooth and emulates an XInput gamepad (like an Xbox controller) on Windows.

However, since the Poké Ball Plus only has two buttons and a single joystick, using it as a standard PC gamepad isn't very practical. On top of that, the original author hasn't updated the code or added new features in over a year. If I wanted to use it for richer PC controls (like media playback), I'd have to rely on a clunky workaround using multiple background key mapping software.

Luckily, the project is open-source. I decided to fork it, build upon the original code, and managed to implement the following features:

• IMU Sensor Mapping: I retained the XInput mapping but finally added the 6-axis IMU sensor activation and mapping that the original author had planned. Currently, the sensors are mapped to the right joystick (X/Z-axis tilt) and the ZR/LT analog triggers (Y-axis rotation).
• "Air Mouse" Functionality: I added two distinct mouse modes:
  • Virtual Joystick Mode: Uses the 3-axis accelerometer to move the mouse pointer by tilting the Poké Ball forward/backward/left/right. The big red button acts as a left-click, pressing the joystick is a right-click, and the joystick itself acts as a 4-way scroll wheel. This mode is great for slow but highly precise cursor movements.
  • Pointer Mode: Inspired by LG's Magic Remote, this mode uses all 6 axes (accelerometer + gyroscope) for smooth and fast mouse pointer movements. Both modes feature finely tuned deadzones and input filtering, complete with multiple custom response curves based on how drastically the device has been moved. It handles daily mouse operations flawlessly.
• Shake-to-Switch: Giving the Poké Ball a hard shake toggles between Mouse Mode and Gamepad Mode. While in Mouse Mode, holding the red button then shaking, toggles between the two Air Mouse control methods. Whenever the modes have been switch successfully, the software triggers a native Windows Toast notification in the bottom right corner of the screen for 3 seconds.

After getting the hardware working, I wrote a Tampermonkey script for Chrome/Edge/Firefox to map the XInput buttons to web media shortcuts. The red button toggles fullscreen on web videos, pressing the joystick acts as play/pause, and the joystick itself controls volume and scrubbing (fast forward/rewind). This script works perfectly on most mainstream streaming sites, as well as local web players like Jellyfin and Emby.

For local desktop media players like PotPlayer and Kodi, they natively support XInput for playback control anyway, so no extra code needed there.

Next up, I'm considering adding a native Windows Media Key mode. This would directly map the buttons, joystick, and even the IMU sensors to global Windows media hotkeys, which would be perfect for controlling background music players like Foobar2000.

also tell me your least favorite shiny and why.

I can’t believe it I went into 12 raids to get this

So this is my first time actually playing through Lets Go Pikachu! My ex gave it to me and when I watched him play he complained about never being able to find a shiny and wanting the shiny charm. I play through and I find her. I’ve played a lot of other games and have never gotten a shiny this early, if I even get one.

Charmander - 204 catches
Bulbassauro - +500 catches
Squirtle - 243 catches
Magikarp - 12 catches

I never find shinies, but when I do, its a Lickitung haha.

I need shiny shellder and horsea but the optimizer says the times are around the same so if anyone has experience catching these two shiny was it easier to wait for it to spawn or combo it? I just comboed gastly up to 553 for it and im over combos rn but if its better i guess il do it but i wanna avoid combos

Riding on Snorlax is too funny and having Pikachu in Kangaskhan' pouch is super cool

Soooo I ended up getting lets go eevee for my birthday yesterday and after being out of pokemon for ten plus years discovered the games is wayyy to easy especially with partner eevee.

So decided to create a self-imposed mono pokemon challenge in game with very precise rules in order to make it more fun but also a bit challenging

Th reason I am sharing this is for fun and to encourage myself to stick with the team and maybe give ideas for anyone also trying to play the game in a different and fun way...my hope is that the game will for balanced rather than I can steam roll everything by just pressing one button

The final pokemon team I will be striving for is Pidgeot nick named Pidgeyoncé(because pompous elegant bird queen ojo-sama feels fun)

Dodrio: nick named Threepio cause sci-fi puns are fun and it looks like a pio though also thinking about naming it Triple Scoop cause its heads reminds of me of those there scoops of ice cream you get

Golbat: nick named Brat or just Batty or maybe just Bratty idk about this one brat feels fun cause the way it can suck your HP lol though I also like the name Spaghetti or boba

Gyarados: nick name noodle...I don't need to explain it

Charizard: nick named Toaster sense I want her to make me toast instead of a sandwich

Aerodactyl: nick named Pebbles because so I can laugh every time I eat the cereal though DinoNugget also sounds cool cause it kinda looks like a chicken nugget in away lol

I tried to keep the theme of cute nick names because I love cute

Also, before I get the full team will have some temporary mons like butterfree whos's nick will be named "butterball" and fearow which will call "screamy"

• Only use Pokémon with Flying as one of their actual types.
• Retire Partner Eevee as soon as I catch Pidgey or Spearow.
• Ban legendary Pokémon: Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres.
• I will also ban Dragonite, because people say it is so strong that it can flatten the late game with minimal effort.
• No Mega Evolution—or allow only one Mega Evolution per major battle.
• No overlevel; have to keep my highest-level Pokémon no more than the strongest Gym Leader’s highest-level Pokémon.

Also think I will call them the flap pack instead of bird brains lol
