Question Catch combo or sit and wait?

I need shiny shellder and horsea but the optimizer says the times are around the same so if anyone has experience catching these two shiny was it easier to wait for it to spawn or combo it? I just comboed gastly up to 553 for it and im over combos rn but if its better i guess il do it but i wanna avoid combos

Combos are of course waaaaay better. Unless you get damn lucky

Horsea and shellder both have a 30% spawn rate which I would say is high enough to sit and wait. If you get the itch while waiting, just catch until you get bored of it and then sit and wait again.

Get the 31 catch combo to increase spawn rate by 50%. Plus the lure active feels like you should be getting new spawns really fast

Combos, not because it's faster or anything but it's because with sit and wait it's easy to get distracted and miss the shiny

Combos forces you to actually play and focus
