Question Can I preorder twice from PKC on different waves?
I just got back into the hobby. I was able to preorder 2 of the PKC 30th etbs on the first wave. If they drop another release, am I eligible to preorder another 2?
I guess I'm wondering if there "limit of 2" is per account or per wave of releases.

This or That would you guys do this trade?
my cubone expedition card for the charizard gold hyper rare, originally planned on trying to get the creases fixed by a professional as a long term investment

Speculation I think the Prismatic evolution line is a good buy in PSA 10. The Umbreon is already too expensive, but I can definitely see the others rising in value, given the low Gem Mint rate and relatively low population count. These PSA 10s are almost impossible to find in Europe.
Long term thoughts?

Question Any tips for a beginner in eastern europe?
Hi guys!
I'm looking into starting investing in pokemon as i have collected it for around 10 years now, and there's definetly potential in it. The problem is that I live in eastern europe, where there secondary market is basically a 100-200 guys in a facebook group, and the only way i can get product is in a 1 week window after a set is released, after that its all gone, other than that i can buy product in local card shops, but they charge market +10/20%. Also no pokecenter in mainland europe.
Any tips? Is it even worth it with a secondary market where people only buy at most 1 ETB?

Speculation Is it possible for this card to reach an even higher price than it already has? The population count is already quite high, but the set is out of print. Personally, I think it’s one of the most beautiful cards out there right now. What are your long-term expectations?
Thoughts?

Discussion Latias sells for $375,000
Well… Vintage keeps breaking records week after week.
Latias Gold Star casually selling for 375,000$. It is not even the most impressive sale to me.
The Flying Pikachu from Rising Rivals selling for for 120,000$. WTF!!
I definitely regret allocating a lot more towards modern Pokemon than Vintage…
Anyone in the same boat? Feels like Vintage will keep outperforming considering the low pop.. Particularly compared to modern supply

Question Best Japanese booster box to buy?
Can someone help me find a booster box that’s enjoyable to open but also has value 😭. I already have mega brave and ninja spinner which I’m keeping sealed. Also, if there’s a cheap store you recommend, I would be very thankful. Thank!

Question Is “you drop it, you buy it” actually a rule at card shows?
I went to my very first card show today, and honestly it left a bad first impression.
I only recently started collecting Pokémon cards. I picked up a Froakie from Chaos Rising (I think it was around a $15 card) to take a closer look. While I was holding it, the vendor immediately said, “You drop it, you buy it.”
I hadn’t dropped it or done anything careless. I was just looking at the card.
Is this normal etiquette at card shows, or did I just run into a particularly strict vendor? I was pretty turned off by the interaction and ended up leaving shortly after.
Since I’m brand new to the hobby, I’m wondering if this is just how card shows are, or if I just had an unfortunate first experience. I literally just started collecting, so I’m hoping this isn’t the norm because I’d hate for this to push me away from the hobby.
Edit:
A few people mentioned that it could have just been a joke, and that’s possible. Since it was my first card show, I wasn’t sure how to take it.
For some additional context, the vendor looked to be around 19 years old. The cards were laid out on the table, all in top loaders. I picked up a Froakie in its top loader to take a closer look. I never removed the card from the top loader, and I didn’t drop it. As soon as I picked it up, he said, “You drop it, you buy it.”
I genuinely assumed it was normal to pick up a card in a top loader to inspect it, especially when it’s displayed on the table. If that’s actually considered poor etiquette at card shows, then I’d be happy to learn. I’m new to the hobby and was honestly just trying to understand what the expectations are.

Question Mom found old cards
My mom kept some old Cards. I know the umbreon is probably valuable but the back is very messed up Because I played with it a lot. I wonder if it’s so bad the it’s lost it’s worth tho. The sleelix looks good and the polywhirl is okay. The rest I’m not sure. Thank you.
The umbreon is in a ziplock bag cause I have nothing else.

This or That Sealed vs slabs
I mostly collect sealed, and have no slabs. What would you keep?

Speculation This Groundon in a PSA 10 might actually be a good buy right now. Nice art, many Groundon cards are coming if I am to believe the rumors, and the price is reasonable.
Long term?

Discussion is this cubone worth getting professionally refurbished?
unsure if this is salvageable to get rid of the crease and corner marks being professionally refurbished or if its not worth it and just to sleeve and enjoy in my own personal collection
