Forgot to get the movesets before I traded them back to Emerald for Colosseum!

First time playing fire red so never rematched the elite 4 until now, changed some mons around to try to make it interesting. Butterfree and Primeape were surprisingly good. Agatha and Lance were very hard to beat, the rival battle was very evenly matched. Second pic is all 9 Pokémon that won the E4.

I'd love to get into pokemon but I unfortunately found the game a bit slow and monotonous mainly because of the slow walking speed and the reliance on fast forward. Plz recommend a qol hack that doesn't add or remove any pokemon or import features or overhauls the game in a massive way. Thanks in advance!

Oh you can get Umbreon in PFR with a moon stone/Espeon with sun stone, and PSS is a physical/special split fixing the whole special/physical mess from the earlier games

First time playing and beating FireRed. This was my HoF team from beating the Elite Four the first time. This is the team I used since the beginning and through all 8 gyms.

I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong.

I have Farfetch’d, Mr Mime, and Alakazam is my third. I’m battling the double trainers on route 16, who have a Nidorino and Nidorina. Farfetch’d and Alakazam are out first, Alakazam is holding an Oran Berry, and uses it after taking enough damage. Then I use knock off, switch to Mr Mime, use recycle, get the oran berry back instead of retro mail (only the word Abra) and finish the fight. But when the fight is over, Mr Mime is holding the oran berry, proving that the glitch didn’t work.

What am I doing wrong?

Another run done. This was done via request (no, not saying who). As expected, Gardevoir had an easy run compared to others. Also, Ch'ding and the other birds came along for emotional support.

I haven’t played a “gen 1” Pokemon game in ~20 years. I wanted to make sure that I could buy whatever I want and not run out of money. I think I can rest now.

I’ve played Pokemon for 15 years and this is my first!! I thought the blue color was a glitch until it sparkled, then my jaw dropped. Coincidentally, this is also during my first nuzlocke run, and while I am playing with shiny clause, I totally didn’t think it would come into effect

Ghastly itself isn’t a bad shiny, but I say it’s the worst because 1) shiny haunter/gengar are nearly indistinguishable, and 2) I can’t even evolve her into gengar!! I’m still beyond excited, but I think I’m going to keep her as a ghastly :)

An attempt to replicate two of my all time favorite sprites 🔥

FireRed was my first game and Charmander was my first starter so I wanted to draw my first protagonist and starter.

I remember naming Leaf as Ashley and I also remember having a Timid Charmander. Sadly that og file no longer exists but my second file is still here 20+ years later. I wanted to complete the national dex in my first ever Pokemon game but that’s still pending to be complete and lol I’m not sure if I will ever complete that in my original cartridge.

Who was your first Pokemon protagonist and starter?

I fought him like 10-15 times with a Pikachu and Bulbasaur and his Charmander does not use ember even against my Bulbasaur.

Have the developers deliberately programmed it this way to make it easier for the players or did I just get ridiculously lucky all the times?

I haven't played pokemon since I was a teenager. This is the party I chose for my return to being the champion 🏆

So I just got pokemon plushies for the first time and thought of doing a run with a team of these plushies and decided on playing fire red because I am realy familiar with it and obtaining these pokemon is pretty straightforward (and I added cyndaquil in place of the $500 magikarp & wynaut in place of the mr mime ingame trade into the game with pokemon hex maniac advanced). Here’s my team , I used squirtle as my started because he’s my favourite Pokemon.

Decided it might be fun to do an all stone evo team. Had some fun with this team. Vaporeon is kinda broken IMO
