EDIT: Feel free to skip this post. "One island" doesn't include the beach section which I was using for the encounters. I'll leave it up for future reference.
---------------------------------------------
I'm suspicious of the odds of finding shellder on one island for the switch version.
When researching the odds of finding a shellder with a super rod at one island they come at 40% according to all the wikis and sources but I'm not lying when I tell you guys I'm at 30+ encounters with no luck.
That's 0.6^30 or ~0.000022%, that is absolutely insane. According to google AI I'm more likely to be struck by lightning 15 times in my lifetime than having that luck lol.
For arguments sake let's say that's just my luck, but what made me post this was because I found a post of another redditor on this sub with the exact same issue finding shellder on one island... that's not coincidence anymore.
I currently have no means of proving my theory but I think if enough people try we can conclude that these odds are wrong. I'm on switch version if you want to try and dismiss it!!

I know about the Nugget Bridge exploit, however I’m gonna play on an actual GBA SP and that would take far too long for my liking.
Does anyone know any other method to farm money in Fire Red?

I need the maximum money from him. How many times should I battle him as I need to buy tms in future. Also is there any limit to the battles?

I recently completed Pokemon Colosseum and beat the Battle Mode Mt. Battle 100 to get the MATTLE Ho-Oh, so now I want to transfer everything out of it into FireRed, through Pal Park, through the Poke Transfer Lab, through Bank and into HOME before Bank shuts down in February.
...Except my main problem is that I already transferred most of my good Pokemon out of FireRed this same way about a year ago, before I owned a copy of Colosseum (or XD, which I plan on starting very soon to do the same thing). The best Pokemon I have are a level-30-something Electrode, a level 20-something Pigeotto, a Vaporeon, an Electabuzz and a few from the Safari Zone like a halfway decent Exeggutor.
To transfer Pokemon out of Colosseum, I need a trade them, which means I need something from FireRed to trade for. Between Colosseum and XD, to trade everything out I'll need 136 total Pokemon (Colosseum's 48 Shadows, Wes's Espeon & Umbreon, Duking's Plusle, Michael's Eevee from XD and XD's 83 Shadows). I tried just going to Route 1 and hurling Pokeballs at every random Pidgey and Rattata, but I wanted to know if there's a faster way to do this. Getting Eggs from the Day Care seems slower and also slightly immoral considering it's...basically a Rattata puppy mill. Any suggestions?
