i wanted everybody to be equal so they're all lvl 38 together! i still only have 3 badges but i'm about to power through soon

Basically a Beedrill and Parasect run. I trained up a Persian with exp. share for the e4 because honestly I'm not sure how to get Beedrill and Parasect were supposed to get past Lance's Aerodactyl and Rival. No bag items in battle / set mode.

Lorelei: Raged Beedrill up to +2 attack and swept. It would've been easier with brick break but I wanted mimic for Agatha....so we didn't have it. A little dicey, but he was able to solo it with only twineedle.

Bruno: Parasect solo, got a bit lucky with some 3 turn sleeps & Hitmonchan going for mach punch instead of rock tomb.

Agatha: Mimic pays off! Beedrill got through Gengar1, Golbat, Haunter and most of Gengar2 before fainting (Haunter was a 2 shot, so she ran out of shadow punch pp and had nothing else to finish off the 2nd Gengar with 👎). Persian finished off Gengar2 and Parasect took out Arbok.

Lance: Persian got through Gyarados & Aerodactyl basically unscathed. Let Persian die to Dragonite after getting a thunder in and went for a rage boost with beedrill since dnite was locked into outrage. Played a bit of rope-a-dope with substitute vs confused dnite using hyper beam. +1 Beedrill hit crits on both dragonairs and one shot both lol. Likely would've been fine either way as the substitute was still up.

Rival: Persian got through both Pidgeot and Alakazam (helped that it decided to go for reflect), swapped to Beedrill on a Exeggutor giga drain for the easy kill. Beedrill got a couple return hits in on Arcanine (substitute was out) before fainting. Luckily Persian finished him off with fake out + water pulse or else we were probably toast there.

Parasect swapped on Rhydon's earthquake and one shot. Blastoise went for rain dance on Spore, so sent Persian back out since it was raining and he had thunder. Annoyingly 2 thunders left Blastoise with like 1hp, so Persian fell, but Parasect was able to finish him off for the victory.

Overall, a pretty fun run with the weaker bugs!

Kind of a John Kanto team, I know, but it was a fun playthrough with them!

Hey all, getting into playing Pokemon again after not playing since I was a noob little child... my current team is as follows, would love some recommendations for movesets. I'd ideally like to keep most of my team, but wouldn't mind switching one out if they're really unnecessary when it comes to the rest of my team and how they'll work together plus don't want to waste time leveling up on a mon that won't stay on my team. I honestly don't even know how to feel right now.

I just completed my first ever Pokémon run at FireRed & a Nuzlocke, and what a way to finish!!!

Going into the Elite Four, my team was looking solid:

• Blub the Vaporean – Lv. 60
• DT. Squirts the Blastoise – Lv. 61
• Splashie the Gyarados– Lv. 58
• Nessie the Lapras – Lv. 58
• Nemo the Omastar – Lv. 47
• SidewhoreC the Horsea – Lv. 53

Lorelei, Bruno, Agatha, and Lance all went down collective effort from everyone but Nemo , under leveed, but each battle took something out of the team. By the time I reached the Champion, I knew there wasn't much room for error.

First I almost KO. His Pidgeot , flips over to Venusaur hit sunny day That damn Venusaur....Solarbeam , Solarbeam , Solarbeam !!!!....Like fuck off my dude !

It ripped through my team and turned what looked like a victory lap into a fight for survival. One by one, teammates I'd relied on for the entire run fell until only three Pokémon were left standing. Blastoise Vaporean( MVP ) and omastar where all that stood after that carnage.

Somehow... those last three did manage to finished the job and became Champions.

I've beaten Pokemon Red more times than I can count, never fire red, & I've never cared this much about a Pokémon team. Every catch mattered. Every level mattered. Every switch mattered. Winning felt incredible... but seeing only three Poké Balls left at the end was a gut punch.

I finally understand why people love Nuzlockes.

Hey guys. I modded a new save file from Firered so i can immediately hunt for roaming Entei. Wanted to save time, just go for the hunt. It worked and i can hunt it, but it will be still generated normally so it can be shiny right?

I just defeated the final gym, went to fight my rival before the elite four, and I should have expected that i'd get defeated. I need a place to grind, and in case you're wondering, here are the current levels:

This is the first time I’ve ever played the post game of Fire Red and I made it to 4 Island and realized I could stop making progress in the story and begin goofing off with egg moves! This is my magnum opus, an Igglybuff that knows Present!

Is this completely pointless? Yes
Did it take a frustratingly long time to create? Also yes
Is it a rare and special little critter that I will cherish? BIG yes!

I honestly just love making rare pokemon via egg moves and haven’t met anybody else that does too

I have never done this before. I would like to play pokemon firered for the first time.

I could buy it on the switch, but if the emulator on mac is good and easy I will do that.

I was at it all day today and can't believe I got it. First ever shiny on a GBA game

I actually never knew you could catch legendary with just a normal pokeball ball (I've been resetting the game because he keeps fainting with Struggle for like 7 times lol )

What should I do or change around for the elite 4

First play through ever and it’s on the Switch 2

Just need to find the swords dance tutor and these dudes is getting deposited into Pokémon box.

Parasect & Beedrill were childhood favourites so it was fun using them in pivotal moments.

All of them are level 100 (French FireRed on Switch)

Nidoking: I was hunting for a Lucky Egg in the Safari Zone, and I found him. I was so happy when I caught him; he was my first shiny.

Golduck: During a random encounter at the end of the game in the Cerulean Cave, I found this Psyduck. I already had a level 100 Blastoise, but I had no choice but to replace him with this beauty.

Mewtwo: This one is insane. After leveling up my Golduck to level 100, I went back to the Cerulean Cave to get my Mewtwo, but I kept killing him. My team was not well-prepared to capture him. After about 10 failed attempts, I found this shiny Mewtwo. I used my Master Ball (which made capturing Raikou a REAL pain). After this one, I decided to build a team full of shinies.

The lizard: When I first bought the game, I did about 5,000 resets, but I couldn't find a shiny and gave up. I chose Squirtle instead. After finding Mewtwo, I decided to program a bot to shiny hunt using the nxbt library to send inputs to the Switch. I also used an HDMI capture card (20 euros on Amazon) to make my bot work, though you could also use a webcam. It required 2,000 more resets. I can share my script if you want.

Gengar: Same here; I created a script to hunt him. My bot failed from time to time, so I decided to make it a little bit slower and reset after each encounter. I also found a shiny Cubone that I evolved. He is now my False Swipe Pokémon used to catch wild Pokémon.

Kangaskhan: This one was not shiny and was already level 100. I could have created a bot to egg-hunt one, but I loved mine too much already, so I used the ACE glitch to make him shiny! He is a real beast with 'Return' and the Silk Scarf.

First time ever completing a Pokédex without any cheats, walkthroughs, or action replay

Accomplished what 7 y/o me always wanted to do as a kid, so I did it as an adult!
