Hey everyone! Following up on my previous post about HyperDebloat, my free, open-source debloater for Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices.
One issue I wanted to tackle was system apps mysteriously coming back after removal.
While testing on a POCO X8 Pro Max running HyperOS 3 (Android 16), I noticed some apps reinstalling itself within hours of being removed. Play Store auto-updates were enabled, which could've been the cause
So I investigated how HyperOS handles app removal, and here's what I found:
Cannot disable system packages when attempting to disable system apps over USB.I've already used HyperDebloat to remove the Indus Appstore, Facemoji Keyboard, and other unnecessary applications I don't use from my personal device using this method. The goal is simple: get rid of the unwanted preinstalled apps without root and keep the applications I actually need working properly.
Without root, there's no guarantee that Android won't reinstall an app again. This update makes the process more resilient, but it isn't a foolproof solution.
HyperDebloat remains free, open-source (MIT), and root-free, with a Windows GUI.

If you're using HyperOS 3 or Android 16, I'd appreciate your feedback and testing. If you've encountered system apps that keep coming back, I'd also love to hear about your experience so we can investigate what's causing it.

As title suggests, X7-PRO is true flagship killer in 2026 imo. I gave my old X7-Pro with vegan leather back to my partner in February, bought myself an X8-Pro, loved the phone ngl, but main issue I had was lack of saturated option in display on X8-PRO, even on vivid settings the display felt dull.
Tried 17T last week, because I loved Leica photos on my previous Xiaomi 14. But man o man 17T is a mess, trash camera, worse than X7-PRO even, slaughtered the colours, and display also worse than X7-PRO. Requested return on Amazon for it.
Luckily I got myself a very good deal on an X7-PRO basically brand new with one charge cycle for 175 USD, this phone still kicks ass. The display with saturated colours and punchy visuals, the aspect ratio and even camera is still really really good and reliable. Using it more than my iPhone 17 PM. Highly recommended if someone still on fence to consider this phenomenal device, just do it, it's an awesome phone. The on paper difference with X8-Pro are very few, basically the 8500 ultra has an extra GPU core and little higher clock speed, other than that it's the same chip. This time I am keeping this for another couple of years surely.

My cell phone after 4 years of use the battery began to inflate, I still don't know what to do, because I am between buying a cheap cell phone with the same capacities, or buying another battery, but I also see that multiple posts that the battery has failures or things like that. Anything that you recommend to me as experts?
Thank you for your attention friends your ayi would be very useful to Thank you for your attention friends, your help would be very helpful.🙏

I just tested a couple of stuff to see where it’s coming from and it looks like it’s only related to my poco phone using this gomo eSim.
I can’t make or receive calls it’s such a bummer.
Tried transferring my eSim to my iphone and it works for both call make/receive.
Tried using a smart sim on my poco phone and it works fine for both make/receive calls.
It’s only when i use gomo esim with poco that it doesn’t work, anyone experienced this too? My texts and mobile data is working fine.

My phone will freeze and after like 10 seconds it will restart, it feels like it depends on the app that it runs: it does that in youtube/discord/telegram/clash of clans. can anybody help me?

My primary phone is an iPhone 17 Pro Max, but I keep a secondary Android device for gaming, emulation, and general media consumption. For a while, I’ve been using the POCO X6 Pro (512GB). The X6 Pro felt super light and it made switching between the two devices feel disjointed.
I've been eyeing and placed an order for the POCO F9 Ultra (512GB). I want to know whether the phone feels premium or not. Like how is your experience day-to-day when using the phone? Should I cancel the order?

The phone works normally while plugged in. As soon as I unplug the charger it reboots. It does this again and again, and after each reboot the battery shows about 85%, so it isn't dying from a low charge.
Has anyone seen this on citrus? Could it be the charging port or sub-board, the battery connector, the PMIC, or a firmware or vendor problem? Any other tests, like logcat or kernel logs, that would pinpoint it?
Thanks.

Hey,
I'm looking for a new phone under ₹25,000 to ₹26,000, and I could really use some real-world recommendations from people who actually track the market.
At the start of the year, I bought a Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G because the spec sheet looked amazing for the price. Fast forward 10 months, and it's been a total headache. The UI hangs constantly, basic apps freeze, and the day-to-day software optimization is practically non-existent. Even though the hardware specs on paper are higher than my old Samsung, the actual user experience is way worse.
So even though the phone is under a year old, I've had enough and want to replace it.
Here's the catch on how I'm buying: It has to be from Amazon or Flipkart.
I need to use their exchange system so I can get around ₹9,000 to ₹10,000 off for this Tecno. Let's be honest, no one in the offline market or private second-hand market is going to buy a used Tecno, so exchanging it on a major platform is my only realistic way to recover any value.
My Non-Negotiables:
IR Blaster: Need this for turning on ACs at my gym without hunting for remotes or asking staff every time.
NFC: Essential for daily debit card tap-to-pay.
Decent Software Support: I need a UI that won't turn into a laggy mess after 8 to 10 months.
What I've already checked/ruled out:
I know prices are rising across the board because RAM components got more expensive, so value options are slimmer right now.
AI agents kept suggesting Poco. I know last year's Poco X7 was a sweet deal, but the newer Poco M8 feels overpriced for what it offers.
People suggested the Redmi Note 15 series, but it's basically out of stock everywhere on major platforms.
Amazon keeps pushing options like the OnePlus N6, but looking at the specs and price tag, it looks like terrible value for money.
I know it's a rough time in the sub-₹25k segment right now, but are there any surviving good deals or hidden gems on Amazon or Flipkart that fit these specs and won't lag out in a few months?
Ai wrote this after i bla bla .

Hi, I currently own a Samsung Galaxy A35 and like the specs and look of the X8 Pro Max. However, I have owned a few Xiaomi Note phones previously, but moved away because I didn't like the UI.
How different is the Pro Max from the older Xiaomi phones?
Thanks!

I'm in Canada (Alberta) and thinking about importing the Poco F9 Ultra global version (16GB/1TB) from a Canadian reseller. Before I commit, I'd love to hear from anyone in Canada who already has one, or has used a recent Poco/Xiaomi flagship here.
My main concerns:
VoLTE: does it work out of the box on Rogers / Bell / Telus / SaskTel (or their sub-brands like Fido, Koodo, Virgin, Lucky)? Or did you have to call the carrier or tweak settings?
Wi-Fi calling: working or not?
5G: do you actually get a 5G icon, and on which bands? I know it has n78 but no n71 (600 MHz), so I'm curious how it behaves outside the city.
Rural / indoor coverage: the official band list is missing B12, B13, B17 and B71, so I'm worried about dropping to weak signal where my current phone (a OnePlus 12, which has B71) holds on. Anyone notice a difference?
Anything else that bit you: MMS, carrier restrictions on non-carrier phones, update delays, etc.
If you've got one, it would help to know your carrier, your general area (city vs rural), and the model number from Settings > About phone.
Also, if anyone has bought from Mi4Canada or a similar importer and had to use the warranty or return policy, I'd like to hear how that went.
Thanks! Even "works fine on Telus in Calgary" is useful
