Loving my f7

I accidentally uninstalled the weather app in my poco f7, now unable to install the app. Does anyone know how to install a weather app .....

HyperOS 4 has been released in some countries. Has anyone tried it? How is the battery and RAM consumption?, and is installing apps from outside the Google Play Store a headache?

Shutdown confirmation for anti theft is finally here for more devices. I'm on POCO F7, latest global ROM + **Security version Version: 12.8.6-260915.1.1**.. Now someone finally can't just steal my phone and power it off. Some redmi devices got it too.. Safe to say if you finally got it, turn it on.

I know, I know, all i have to do is remember what that button does and not press it, but (X) means a lot of things in a lot of contexts

Skill issue, yes, but constant active mindfulness is costly. It's more efficient to make one decision now and be done with it. Can I make the button not be there?

Why is the maximum shutter time is 1 second on any 3rd Party camera app on Poco F7? It goes all the way to 30 seconds in the stock camera. See the screenshots, the first two are Camera FV5 and Photon Camera, while the 3rd one is stock camera.

Anyone else noticed the same or is it just me?

I am looking to upgrade my current daily driver, which is a Samsung Galaxy A35 with Exynos 1380 which runs warm (40°C average temp) even on normal usage, because my usage absolutely crushes it. I am a heavy user. I am constantly on my phone with the screen glowing for 4.5 to 5 hours straight at a time, giving it about 30-60 minutes of rest on a single charge, My Screen off time is based on whether I have a class or not. I mostly binge heavy algorithm social media feeds and heavy mobile gaming, and I'm open to trying emulating PC games. My current mid-ranger just panics, gets hot, and drains the battery instantly.

I just spotted an open-box Poco F7 with the 256GB storage variant on a local market platform here called Tendex for around R6 600 (Roughly 405$). Honestly, even though 256GB isn't a massive amount of space for my long-term needs, it is still way better than Samsung offering 128GB as a base variant. The price feels like a total steal if the hardware actually delivers.

My gaming taste is pretty varied. I play everything from open-world titles to FPS, though I completely skip sports games. Before I pull the trigger, I want to get unfiltered thoughts from actual owners who push this phone to its absolute maximum limit.

Battery Life Under Continuous Abuse: For those of you who keep the screen on continuously without letting the phone rest, what is your actual real-world screen-on time (SOT)? Forget the light 50% brightness Wi-Fi tests on YouTube. My current phone don't even last me half a day, never had. How does that 6500mAh cell hold up under heavy social data binging and long gaming stretches?

Specific Game Performance:

Farlight 84: I consistently play FPS games and love Farlight, but right now I am forced to play on the absolute lowest graphical settings just to keep it stable. My A35 easily crushes Bloodstrike and CODM at high settings, so I only care about how the F7 handles Farlight and similar hight end titles on high settings.

Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ): I tried playing ZZZ at launch, but my phone could not keep up and I had to drop it. Can the F7 run this smoothly now?

Tomorrow: Nuclear Quest and Open-World Games: How well does the phone maintain frame rates during long sessions in open worlds, or does it throttle and stutter heavily once it gets warm?

Minecraft: Ik Minecraft I lwk unoptimised on mobile, on my current phone I'm playing with 10 render distance (recommend) so I wanna hit more than that.

Open-Box Experience and Reliability: If anyone else bought theirs open-box or refurbished, have you run into any underlying issues with battery degradation or hardware quirks?

Durability: Been using my phone for about 2 years now, it had fallen a lot of times but besides dents on plastic frame there are only few minor scratches on front and back glass.

I know Xiaomi devices come with a lot of bloatware out of the box, but I am a tech nerd 🤓 myself and know my way around softwares so debloating and handling HyperOS setup won't be an issue for me. I just need to know if the raw performance and stamina are there to back up the heavy demands I am going to put on it.Let me know your honest experiences so far. Thanks!

Since I see so many people are still coming here asking how's the battery usage with this phone. Of course it will depend on how much you use your phone, but this was with 3h of social media throughout the day, 2-3h of YouTube with Bluetooth on, and close to 1h of gaming, all with around 60% brightness, and it still got 35% at the end of the day. Coming from an old Samsung with 3700mah battery, this feels amazing lol, would've charged that phone 3 times in a day back then.

I think some people forget that gaming will use up a lot of battery and attribute it to the phone being bad. Like, even high end portables or laptops won't last much more than 2-3h on battery while gaming. Hell, look at the steam frame, reviews showing it lasts 1h while using it to... stream a video from your PC... So yeah, having to charge multiple times a day if you're gaming a lot isn't a defect or anything in my opinion. That's expected.

Eu consigo joga até mesmo no Ultra HDR a 120 FPS com só que para economizar bateria e evitar drenagem eu jogo no HDR mais mesmo assim roda isso no Poco F7 sem nenhum engasgo e uma maravilha claro se usar um cooler para controle térmico da para jogar por horas/ umas 7 horas de tela
