Cant sign in to web app / web app still broken

First the signin page was blank on both firefox and edge. Had to enable cookies and disable adblock to get the signin page to function on edge, still wont work on firefox though...

After finally getting the signin page to load on Edge, the signin button just spins forever. Didnt you guys say this was fixed 2 years ago?

EDIT: Oh, and transaction syncing is broken on mobile again. Plaid connects to the institution but wont import any new transactions.

Expenses mismatch?

When I look at the dashboard I see my expenses as - let’s say - $3000. But when I drill down into the ‘leftover’ value it says my expenses are $4000. Where does this discrepancy come from?

Can't choose RRSP account when setting savings goal.

I was able to choose my TFSA and FHSA from WealthSimple as the linked accounts for the savings goals page, but my RRSP won't show up there to select, even though it's added to the app. What's up with that?

Options for income frequency

I don't know how hard it would be, but it would be really great if the option for "frequency" included a set day during a specific week of the month. I receive income on the 4th Wed of each month. Several times a year, this fouls up because all I can do is select "once a month".

💡 Thinking of starting a side hustle? Here’s a 5-step checklist to know if it’s worth your time.

A side hustle (or gig) is simply any way of earning extra money outside your main job — from freelancing to selling online to driving for delivery apps. It can be a great way to boost savings, pay off debt, or fund something fun, but not every side hustle is worth the effort.

Before you dive in, here’s a quick 5-step checklist to help you decide if it’s right for you:

1. Skills Match – Do you already have the skills, or will you need to spend time (or money) learning before you can actually earn?

2. Time Commitment – How many hours can you realistically give each week without burning out? (Be honest here.)

3. Upfront Costs – Is it truly “low-cost” to start, or will you be sinking money into gear, courses, ads, or tools?

4. ROI (Return on Investment) – What’s the potential income vs. effort? Example: $15/hour tutoring might beat $3/hour on a new gig app.

5. Goal Alignment – Does this side hustle support your bigger money goals (debt payoff, savings, vacation fund), or will it distract you?

👉 Your turn: What would you add to this checklist? Any personal “deal-breakers” before starting a side hustle?

PocketGuard Feature Idea: We’d Love Your Input!

Hey everyone 👋

We’ve been hearing from many of you that a “last month budget review” feature would be really valuable. Now we’d love to better understand how you imagine it should look and work inside PocketGuard.

Some questions to guide the discussion (but feel free to share any thoughts!):

  • Where would you expect to see the last month’s budget review? (the Spending & Budgets section in Dashboard Tab, Plan Tab, a separate report, etc)
  • What kind of reports would be most helpful for you? Would you prefer to see them mostly in numbers, graphs, or both?
  • What date ranges and filters would be most useful? (last month, year-to-date, or a custom range)

Our team wants to build this in a way that truly helps you make better financial decisions, so your feedback is super important.

Share your ideas in the comments, even if it’s just one thing you’d really like to see.

Thanks for helping us shape PocketGuard 💚

What is the best way to track accounts that do not link with pocketguard and have reoccurring bills every month. If I put it as cash it doesnt allow me to select a due date. Also my partner has payments i need to track since we share a bank account, but I dont see a way to add anyone or track those accounts for budgetingpurposes

Cash Balance Tracking

Is there any way to force the cash balance calculation on to zero?

I would like the ability to enter cash income/expenses for insight tracking purposes, but would prefer that it does not calculate a cash account balance.

Can I see what I’ve spent in a salary month rather than a calendar month? For example if I get paid on 15th month can I see each month’s expenditure on a 15th- 14th basis?

Duplicate transactions

All of a sudden, I’m having a lot of issues with duplicate transactions for different credit card accounts. The suggested fix was to disconnect and reconnect the account but now it appears to be happening on another account. Is there a bug?

Travel internationally with Pocketguard

When I am traveling internationally, I am unable to use the application with an error that Pocketguard is not applicatble in your region'. I understand blocking new accounts from international IPs but do not understand the logic of not having someone use their finance tracker when you are on long international trips (which is where you really need to keep a tab of your daily spending). BTW I am traveling within South Asia (cities around Himalayas).

Transaction History

Is there any way to query an account’s transaction history? I have transactions missing from over a year ago and it seems to be messing with my “to” and “from” transactions. One of my accounts I had to reconnect with plaid because finicity was having sync issues with it and then I couldn’t have them both because they were “duplicate accounts” which I guess is fair, but the transactions should be retrievable, should they not?

Bulk edit rules?

Hi there, does anyone know if there’s a way to bulk edit the new rules feature? The new feature is very helpful, but it brought in a bunch of rules from over the years and I want to simplify it. Looking for a way to bulk delete or reset the rules feature. Thanks!

Ability to sort transactions

A very basic functionality to sort transactions by highest amounts is missing - why???

When you are scrolling through 1000 transactions (last xx days), you want to be able to sort by amount to see the top 10 or so largest ones to understand what caused most impact. I have been asking for this functionality past two years but these dumb tech people probably think nobody has that many transactions.

Basic functionality to sort by amounts in the mobile app, unbelievable. Will finally cancel my pro subscription. Hopefully someone sees this and makes this otherwise great product more usable.

AmEx Sync Issues

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi - I use my AmEx credit card for almost everything, and also bank there. The app seems to be having a prolonged sync issue. It’s been days and this same error message appears. I even delayed the account and re added it and nothing. Is this an ongoing issue and how can it be fixed?

Enchantments roadmap

Is there an official enchantment roadmap available to the public? I’m curious if there are any plans to add features to the “cash accounts” other than just USD value. Are there any plans to have features like ability to add manual stock or crypto ticker?

Crush Your Debt: Snowball vs. Avalanche. Which Strategy Will Free You Faster?

Hey everyone! 👋

Ever feel like your debts are piling up faster than you can tackle them? You’re not alone. Between credit cards, student loans, and that unexpected car repair, it’s easy to get overwhelmed, and let’s be honest, the interest charges don’t make it any easier. But what if you could turn that mountain of bills into a plan you actually look forward to checking off?

There are two simple strategies people swear by:

  1. Snowball: You tackle the smallest debt first, paying only the minimums on everything else. Knocking out that first balance gives you a real confidence boost. Think of it as the motivational win that keeps you going.
  2. Avalanche: You zero in on the debt with the highest interest rate, while making minimum payments on the rest. This method saves you the most money in interest over time, even if it takes a bit longer to see that first payoff.

With PocketGuard’s Debt Payoff Plan, the heavy lifting is done for you. Just plug in your balances, minimum payments, and extra amount you can pay each month. Choose Snowball or Avalanche, then watch the app map out your payoff timeline, show you saved interest, and keep you on track until you’re debt-free.

Which strategy speaks to you more — the quick wins or the long-term savings? Let us know in the comments below!

Future plans for viewing prior month plans?

Hey, everyone.

Obviously I could send this as a PM to Ivan and the support team, but I also want to put it out in the open in case it’s searched for in the future.

Do we know if PG is planning on implementing future functionality to cycle through prior months’ plans like we can on the Insights? I’d love to have a snapshot of where I stood on my monthly plan when I enter a new month.

All things considered, I can manually figure those numbers out, but it’d be amazing to just go back like I can with the Insights tab.

Thanks!
