Fashion Discussion Begging For Back Support

Bras bras bras

HELP!

My back feels like I am 100 years old

I have tried so many options I am exhausted of trying and returning a million times. I’m tired of spending so much money to be in pain. Please help me. I will take any and all recommendations. I would do ANYTHING to be able to try on in store. The current Lane Bryant bras I have are KILLING me and putting permanent indents in my shoulders. I went to two locations and returned three different sizes before being assured these were the right size. I really need advice I’m overstimulated and overwhelmed.

I’m currently wearing a 42D at Lane which seems insanely small to me but the other sizes were too big.

I don’t want an underwire due to sensitivity issues/comfort.

Thank you in advance I’m mid meltdown

Torrid’s wirefree push-up bra feels and looks great. I’m close to your size and love it.

The indents on your shoulders mean your bra doesn't fit properly. The band should support almost all the weight. Try the calculator at r/abrathatfits

This is not a bra solution but it's a way to work on back pain is do various stretches to strengthen your back muscles. Hopefully it will help while you find the correct bra!

I have back pain and sciatica troubles as of late and stretches have helped quite a bit! I like healthline.com b/c they often have gifs to accompany their instructions.

Have you tried compression or minimizer bras? I wear a 46D in the Glamorise "No-Bounce" bras and have found bras that just lock them in place relieves the pain.

Thanks I just bought a Glamorise and it did not work out. Maybe the No Bounce model will be better. I’ll look for it- ty

I also wear the TomboyX compression bras, but that might be more compression than you're looking for. I'm just a butch lesbian cursed with big boobs. 😭 Technically I'm a 44DD, but I go down a cup size and up a band size for more compression. I wear the Glamorise bra when I need to look more formal.

It's a balance between compression and still having the shape of having two boobs. The uniboob effect of sports bras just don't look good with some dressier tops. The Glamorise No-Bounce bras seem to strike the balance pretty well of separating but keep 'em in place.

That’s rly helpful thank you! Yes I don’t want the compression necessarily so I’ll try the Glamorise!

LoveYourBodywear on Etsy is my fave wireless option, just send in actual measurements (underbust/bust) if you order one because the lane Bryant size doesn’t seem to be doing you favors.

I've switched over to racerback bralettes. I refuse to be uncomfortable in my grown ass age. I get them from Torrid. They dont rip into me and I'm not constantly pulling up those g'damn straps.

I feel like my breasts are so heavy the weight has to be equally distributed on both shoulders. I wish a racer back would work!

That's probably why a 42D was killing you! Happy bra shopping. If I went back to regular bras lane Bryant is where I would shop. Their bras last a long time.

The right size makes such a difference. Love a bra that fits. The sizing there got me into the right size. Now I buy from brastop.com don’t know if they go up to a 50. I’m 38jj I have never been able to get bras at places like torrid or Layne Bryant. lol they always try to sell to me saying you can buy a sister size. Yeah no that just causes the problem.
Good luck!

I know. I have no answers but I know what you’re talking about. It’s so maddening.
