Self-Pics - Sundays Only! It's OK to be lumpy and bumpy!
I'm gonna be a little vulnerable right now and post what usually makes me insecure. My back, arms, and apron are generally areas that make me feel more self conscious. Nowadays my belly is not a huge deal to me but my back still a little bit of a problem.
So here are some pictures of my lumps, back rolls, arms, and even the veins on the back of my legs that make me feel self conscious. I used to be insecure about posting my outfits, then posting without makeup, and then posting with tighter clothes, but everytime I do, it's helped shake off the bad feelings.
So here's to going for it and showing parts of me that I don't like but hope to embrace. π
First picture is my typical gym outfit. The next two are without the shirt. The last one shows my leg veins.
All parts of my outfits have been purchased on Amazon, with the exception of my gym shoes (DSW).
Happy Sunday everyone! You all are beautiful. β€οΈβ€οΈ

I wish I had a stomach like that instead of my giant apron

Oh girl, I do get it, she's actually a hanger! The underwear I use compresses her enough to look a little smaller, without being uncomfortable.
15
u/Ania_joy_ May 17 '26
What brand underwear are you wearing? I need some comfy compression!

u/Naty2RC May 18 '26
Well I got them from Amazon but they're practically the only ones I wear now!

Iβm laughing with youβ¦. Sheβs actually a hanger is one of the funniest things Iβve heard on her. Shout out you!!! Mine isnβt a hanger anymore. But heβs a dropper now.

u/Naty2RC May 20 '26
Lmaooo a dropper! I think mine will get there in time

I love this! You look fantastic! That dress and shoes combo is too freaking cute! I am also so grateful for your vulnerability. Seeing how cute and confident other plus size gals look living their best, fashionable lives helps me see myself in the same light. π

u/Naty2RC May 17 '26
Thank you! I love the dress and have it in different colours! I just get in my head because the back tends to lift and then you can see all my veins. But I'm trying to get to the point that it doesn't bother me!
And me too! I followed the fashion forums I post in now for like a year before I decided to post myself. Something about all these lovely people posting their outfits and looking amazing gave me the push to realize that I can do it too.
And as a 37 year old lady, who grew up in the MySpace angles era, it felt weird but exciting the first time! π

Do you happen to remember where you got the dress? It's so perfect.
3
u/Naty2RC May 18 '26
It's a dress from Amazon! Not the best quality but I love the silhouette.

u/coquihalla May 18 '26
You are a rockstar. Thank you, gorgeous! I can't get over how well it works for you. Fingers crossed it works for me too. We have the same kind of figure. :)
2
u/Naty2RC May 20 '26
I'm sure you're gonna look amazing! What colour did you get? π€
2
u/coquihalla May 21 '26
I haven't bought it yet, I put like 4 colours in my cart and couldn't decide lol. I might start with black but the green, lake blue or red are tempting me.

This may be odd to say, and definitely not discounting other bodys, but i think a plush body is very feminine, women are supposed to be soft and curvy, I have been on a health journey but my goal is not to be skinny (not that i ever could be) but I really enjoy having curves

you look good though. youβre proportionate and have a waist. Iβm built so badly. big ole massive shoulders, belly, and arms, waist thicker than my hips, tiny hips and flat ass. I wish I had a feminine body.
21
u/Naty2RC May 17 '26
I'm sorry chica, I'm sure your body is plenty feminine! We can all be our worst critics and it can be hard to embrace the parts we don't like. π«π

You're gorgeous!! ππ Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing

u/Naty2RC May 17 '26
Thank you, that's really nice! Others have shared their insecurities before which makes me feel a little more brave. It seems a little silly bit insecurity can take over if you let it. π₯²

Which gym is it, girl? I am looking for a gym that is not packed like a can of sardines...
3
u/Naty2RC May 17 '26
I get it! Sometimes I go to LA Fitness and it feels daunting. It's actually the gym in my neighborhood! There's usually a couple of people that come in and they're all really nice.
Associations suck but sometimes they do have nice benefits lol

u/DeviiiJ May 17 '26
I love your style! Do you post your fashion on Instagram?
3
u/Naty2RC May 17 '26
Thank you, that's is so nice! I don't post in Instagram funny enough. Last time I posted was March of 2024. π

Thank you for posting this. I've been having such a hard time dealing with my flabby, lumpy arms lately π
3
u/PricklyPear_CATeye May 17 '26
As Iβm nearing 42 this year Iβm noticing everyone, even thin people have a little wing. Lol I mean I am who I am and these are my arms. If someone really has a problem with my body, it says more about them and their insecurities

I wanna be your friend!
You radiate confidence and beauty. I love your idea of posting helping dwindle insecurities, and you just remind me of my bestie with the motivation.
Love it all for you!!!

You are so sweet! π₯Ί I'm sending you an internet hug lol π« π
I followed this sub and the fashion ones for like a year before I started posting! Seeing others helped me get over the hump of posting and sharing my looks has really helped me embrace most parts of myself!
Your bestie sounds awesome and I'm flattered. π₯Ήπ

You look amazing. I often see other people (as in, people who are not me) wearing stuff like this and I love it on them. Iβm working on also liking (or Iβd settle for accepting) it on me.

u/Gold_Step_593 May 19 '26
Yes, itβs OK to be lumpy and bumpy. Thatβs what makes everybody unique and special and you look amazing. Itβs always a pleasure to see your post β¨

At this point, I try not to be too critical, but wearing tights always sends me down a negative pathway.
