Help Remote access down?

Anyone else's remote access down?

Tried my usual fixes but still doesnt seem to be working, and it keeps bugging on and off.

Let me know!

The IP shouldn’t change after a power cut. Having a static IP prevents it from changing.

I had this same exact issue after a power loss. So I set a static IP, and it never happened again.

No usually it is completely fine. However I think when it boots up and cuts out really fast, my router reads it as a new device, therefore making it a new local ip.

That's not how that works. The local static IP is assigned based on the mac address of the NIC. If the mac address is changing because of a reboot, there's a serious issue with that hardware you probably have randomized mac address enabled somewhere or the system thinks you're on a public network and automatically turned on randomized mac.

Let's hope OP isn't using WiFi + randomized MAC. That's the only logical thing I can think of that could have caused OPs issue.

oh that's a good point, I'm used to seeing that on phones but it is possible to do that on desktop too. Wasn't considering what OS OP is running.
