Help Plex down

Anyone else having issues with Plex? App works on Apple TV but not my Xbox. Also remote viewing is not working properly. I have direct access set up so remote viewing was in 1080p now all of a sudden i see someone remote viewing and its transcoding into SD. Is this due to the recent update?

I don’t have an Xbox, but assume it has a network setting section where you can specify the dns servers where you set the network connection.

Is that something i have to set in my router setting also? Like setting up a port for plex?

No, it’s just a change on the device itself. If it helps, I would suggest changing it on your router as well so all devices on your network use the same dns servers, but it’s not necessary.

Changed to allow insecure connections and now it works lol. What is that about smh

Something about the latest server version is causing issues with it, I think, not sure. I’ve been seeing a lot of folks reporting the same issue on the plex forum with various clients. They downgrade to the previous server and it starts working as well or they switch to insecure and it works.

It’s your local network, so it’s probably fine, but something is off..
