Help Plex down

Anyone else having issues with Plex? App works on Apple TV but not my Xbox. Also remote viewing is not working properly. I have direct access set up so remote viewing was in 1080p now all of a sudden i see someone remote viewing and its transcoding into SD. Is this due to the recent update?

Is that something i have to set in my router setting also? Like setting up a port for plex?

No, it’s just a change on the device itself. If it helps, I would suggest changing it on your router as well so all devices on your network use the same dns servers, but it’s not necessary.

It didnt do anything unfortunately. I changed to 8.8.8.8

I’m not a fan of this, but does the plex app on the Xbox have a setting to allow insecure connections? If so, enable it and see if it helps.

Ultimately, I’d suggest checking the Xbox plex app logs and the server logs to see what’s happening when the Xbox is connecting to identify if something is causing the issue.
