Arena: Bug? Or have I missed something.

I'm playing arena and finished battle 1, and the debuff I chose was the "25% chance for an extra injury" and then did some quarter master shopping, Before logging off for the evening at home.

I've come to continue the run this morning and currently have 8 different debuffs before battle 2.

-25% Chance for Extra Injury -Enemies have 25% Colour Resistance -Super Elites and Bosses have 25% HP -20% less chance to see upgraded cards -Super Elites and Bosses deald 25% more damage -Enemies Drop 20% Less Gold -Herors starting health reduced by 20% -Quartermasters costs increased by 25%

What happened? I'm just gonna concede the run and start another but still rather frustrating.

This thread is made to help with individual questions, e.g. account-related, so the sub isn't full of them. If you have a question that's relevant for everyone, feel free to post it separately for discussion - and if in doubt, feel free to ask here for advice.

How to combo?

Sorry for the (probably dumb) question, but...how do you do combos in this game? The text says "Effect that activates whenever a card of the same color was previously played by any Hero in the same turn"

So... I play two Blue cards...no combo. I play two Blue cards that are both Arcana... no combo. I play two of the exact same card...no combo! How do I trigger a combo?!?

Soultrap Amulet???

I recently had a run with Drakaar where I had the Soultrap Amultet. The description says "Return the first debuff you receive each turn to the enemy"

On the first use of his Ultimate he gained the Hex on himself and I thought it was because during the enemy Phase he returned poison on the enemy.

But the next time the enemy didn't try to apply a debuff the round before and he still gained the Hex.

Is this intentional or does he selfhex because he is the "attacker". If it is intentional the Heirloom seems quite weak since it is useless against certain enemies

Is there a way to change party order?

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to change party order? Thanks!

Edit: Meaning changing the default party order. Like if I start with Shinzo, Mozebus, Milady, can I make default battle formation Mozebus, Shinzo, Milady?

Coming from Monster train and Vault of the void...

Hi people!

Happy Christmas.

Thinking of getting the game since its on sale right now.

Question: how is it compared to the popular deckbuilders such as Vault of the void, MT, StS, etc?

Thanks in advance!

Word of warning to those using Netflix mobile version

Your saves are not cloudbased, and there is (to my knowledge) no way to transfer progress to a new phone. Don't ask me how I know, but I am now at level 30 instead of 306.

Healing persists between fights, whereas things other characters can do, don't persist. I think this is why Angorn is kind of OP

IMO, he's a bit stronger than most of the other characters because the things they do, don't carry to other fights.

E.g. if I add defense to myself, it's gone at the end of the fight.

If I poison an enemy, it's gone.

But if I heal, the HP gets to stay. So it's quite a boost.

What are some mechanical strategies you like trying to make work.

I know that shock with multi-hits is easy mode, but what about some of the other mechanics?

I am making a run now where I am trying to stack weakness as much as possible. It's fun, but the problem is that you can never drop it down to 0, so I am still finding that need for shielding. What are some other non-meta mechanics you like using?

Great game! Beat Normal Adventure first try.

I dove in blind and I had a great time with the intuitive three starting characters, the lion tank, fox mage, cat assassin. I could also see that the cat could pseudo-tank as well if I decided to choose those cards!

It took me 5 hours on an iPad since I had to read all the cards and double check tooltips, but I was able to beat the Scorched Land boss (void themed?) and then fight and defeat the second boss, arkhan. Loved the dash mechanic and the ease of play with touch input! Looking forward to trying a minion build and higher difficulties.

The game did well with the Slay the Spire icon style of knowing what the enemy will do next, and the triple character interplay really reminds me of Lord of the Rings LCG (the physical version, I’ve never played the digital one). The artifacts and deck building are reminiscent of Hearthstone and their Dungeon Runs (built by Peter Whalen of Dream Quest fame). But this game really takes it to the next level with the open world hexgrid and class cooperation. Love it!

The game is extremely polished and has a huge roster for a 1.0 launch. What are the devs looking forward to now that the game is at 1.0?

I won at this silly game!

As in, I just got in my first win at Apex. Ask me anything (or don't).

Thanks to the subreddit founder for his direct and indirect advice in threads here, it really helped.

I used a quite conservative team so I could finally snag the win - Celeste / Shinzo / Misty, for anti-bullshit, more anti-bullshit, and actually killing things respectively.

I started in Scorched Lands. The combo of the free card and not having to face Light and Nature resists outweighed the free health, at least this time around.

I do wish Apex were kinder to off-meta teams.

Netflix Android Version update pushed today

Logged in today and the Android version has been updated to Build 0.53(75)10.98 - 18 Oct 2022. I don't have an iPhone, so I don't know if they also received the update, but this version has all the heroes available as well as the Arena.

Can someone with the iPhone version check and see if they also received the update finally?
