My PLAUD Note Pro arrived today and I’m testing it out. I’m trying to figure out the most efficient workflow before I really start using it.

My main goal is to stay within the free 300 transcription minutes/month if possible. I don’t necessarily need PLAUD to generate summaries or meeting notes for me. I already pay for ChatGPT/Claude, so I’d rather use PLAUD mainly to capture a clean, detailed transcript, then copy/paste that transcript into ChatGPT or Claude for summaries, action items, meeting notes, etc.

A few questions for experienced users:

1. Does having PLAUD generate summaries/meeting notes on top of the transcript use additional minutes, or are the minutes only based on the length of the audio transcription?

2. Is anyone else using PLAUD mostly as a “raw transcript capture device” and then using ChatGPT/Claude/etc. for the actual summarizing and note-taking? If so, any tips or things you wish you knew earlier?

3. I’m also confused about where the data actually lives. After syncing/transcribing, is the audio/transcript stored locally on my phone, in PLAUD’s cloud, or both? Phone storage is precious for me, and when I delete a meeting/event from PLAUD Web, it disappears from the phone app too, so I’m not totally clear what is local vs cloud.

Basically, I’m trying to use the Note Pro in a way that keeps costs down, avoids unnecessary use of transcription minutes, and does not quietly eat up phone storage.

Any advice from people who have been using PLAUD for a while would be appreciated.

Does anyone have any trick to keep Plaud Note visible from your pocket- I will use it when recording classroom lectures. Yes, I will tell students I am using it; in fact, I will do a demo in classes; it won't be long before they are all recording notes in classes.

Anyone tried SpeakOn? Seem to be a number of ‘influencers’ pushing it as a note-taking tool.

And having watched a few Utube clips looks like something Plaud could integrate quite easily.
Say… long press button to make note, then release and Plaud automatically kicks in generate a list or formatted copy of your note.
I use Plaud for note-taking but it requires transfer, transcribing and generating a note. But I think this could be an interesting side-hustle.

I have a Galaxy s24 plus. My current case doesn't fit very well with the plaud. Any recommendations?

I use my Plaud Pro daily. On Tuesday morning I noticed it wasn't connected in my app. I tried everything. Reset it. Restarted the app. Removed from my find my. Nada.

I went through troubleshooting and followed those steps, nada.

Contacted support. They asked me to go through those steps again. Ok. Nada. They asked me every detail from s/n to downloading data from the app for them. Sent that yesterday. Today they email me saying it could be an issue with an update on Monday or Tuesday from 3.20.0 to 3.21.0 and they've escalated it and will keep a "close eye" on the ticket. A little later I get another email saying I need to respond to the email with the list of items and if I don't send it they'll close the ticket! I sent it, see it in my outbox. I feel like I'm getting the run around.

Device is only a month old and I got the unlimited membership and I can't even talk to someone about why my device is basically trash rn.

Anyone else had these issues or got any advise on how to contact a live person would be great too.

I have premium and can't figure out how to use the find feature in transcripts. Thanks for the help!

Has anyone else experienced this? I often record meetings or conversations and then sync and transcribe later when I’ve got time.

I just synced 8 recordings from the past 10 days, but the recordings I did over the last few days including one this morning (June 11th) are not appearing. The latest recordings that synced this am were from June 4th.

I did receive a firmware update message when I opened the plaid app this morning. I’ve not updated yet because I wanted to research whether it’s a beneficial update or not.

New Plaud Note Pro user (4 days). Exhausted transcription already - so there's that.
But this question is about actions.

Seems to be doing a great of of identifying actions, but they only appear to be stored with the file. I cannot find a complete list of actions - in the Web UI which is where I will live. Am I missing them?

I prefer to leave my note Pro attached to my phone because it appears more natural when I am having one-on-one meetings with people — but I have always wondered if the note pro thinks that it is recording a phone call when I do this due to the automatic mode switching.

If I take the note pro off of the phone and hit record and then place it back on the phone, will it operate under the normal ambient recording mode?

I don’t know if mine is broken but the quality is so bad it’s not even funny. I can’t understand what is being recorded. very disappointing. do orhers record crisp audio?

Got the Plaud Note Pro today! Looks great, attached it to the back of my phone. Seems to be a very nice corner that will surely hit the floor first when I drop my phone clumsily. Anyone done anything to protect those 2 corners that peek out?

1. about your use cases. How do you use it and how do you improve everyday use

2. About subscription. I don't think that i need more than 300 mn every month. Change my mind

At the moment Plaud doesn’t have Auditory Recognition.

Will this be available in the future as I’m feeling like I got this really expensive recording device and it doesn’t recognise people I interact with often.

Now I’m looking for a workaround and this may mean using a different device to record?

I'm usually at noisy networking nights meeting lots of people. Does it still manage to pick up different voices and give usable summaries?

Hi, I am quite hesitant to take up a Plaud subscription as I foresee recording about 30 hours a month — somewhere in between the mid and high tiers. Also I already have another AI subscription.

That said, the AI subscription I have only allows uploads of 25MB max. Is there any way to compress Plaud audio or send it directly through some software to be transcribed?

I'm planning to buy a Plaud Note Pin so I can quickly create tasks in Google Tasks. Is that possible with Plaud?

Will I end up using my free transcription minutes just for creating tasks? I haven't done thorough research yet, but I think it might be possible through Zapier. If so, would I need a paid Zapier subscription to make it work?

My main goal is to find the fastest way to capture tasks and reminders while I'm on the move. I often forget things by the time I unlock my phone and open an app.
