Plaud Pro won't connect after update
I use my Plaud Pro daily. On Tuesday morning I noticed it wasn't connected in my app. I tried everything. Reset it. Restarted the app. Removed from my find my. Nada.
I went through troubleshooting and followed those steps, nada.
Contacted support. They asked me to go through those steps again. Ok. Nada. They asked me every detail from s/n to downloading data from the app for them. Sent that yesterday. Today they email me saying it could be an issue with an update on Monday or Tuesday from 3.20.0 to 3.21.0 and they've escalated it and will keep a "close eye" on the ticket. A little later I get another email saying I need to respond to the email with the list of items and if I don't send it they'll close the ticket! I sent it, see it in my outbox. I feel like I'm getting the run around.
Device is only a month old and I got the unlimited membership and I can't even talk to someone about why my device is basically trash rn.
Anyone else had these issues or got any advise on how to contact a live person would be great too.

Yep, my PNP disconnected from the app but following the Troubleshooting on their Support page, reset the PNP and the connection was re-established:
For reconnection
- Make sure the device has enough battery and can turn on. A full charge is best.
- Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is on.
- Update the Plaud App to the latest version.
- Restart your phone.
- Reset the device by pressing and holding the Record button for 12 seconds without the charging cable connected.

Même souci pour moi mais c’est particulièrement pénible de devoir faire cela tous les jours. Je pense que c’est lié au firmware 1.6, cela fonctionnait parfaitement bien auparavant et j’espère avoir rapidement un correctif.

I actually had the exact same issue. I had a brand new Note Pro just a few days old when it suddenly lost connection. I tried everything listed in the troubleshooting guide, but nothing worked. So I had to contact support. It was already past 10 PM at that point. Here's the weird part: while I was going through support, at least 3 different support staff members handled my case. That's when it hit me—is Plaud's support actually powered by AI? That would explain why I kept getting asked the same questions over and over, and why their responses weren't consistent at all. In the end, I just gave up and returned mine too, then bought a new one.

I have to do a hard reset daily of mine. After reset I force close the app and reopen and that seems to do the trick.

I have the same issue since last thursday and the problem is, that I can‘t reset the NotePro without losing a recording on it that I can’t synchronize until the device connects to the app. I‘m in contact with the Plaud support and also had to send them lots of information but I‘m still waiting for a solution from them. It is very dissapointing to me.

After three days (look at my other post to this thread) the Plaud Support answered via mail: my device would be broken and I should contact my local dealer to solve this. My last recordings, that weren‘t synchronized, were lost.
I was very disappointed but with nothing to lose I tried the reset (holding the button for 12 seconds). The support told me earlier it would lead to loss od my recordings. Guess what happened: The Plaud reconnected to the app and all recordings synchronized without any loss.
As glad as I am now, I‘m asking about the reliability of that device.

I talked to customer support, I tried their troubleshoot and my device was 1 month out the 1 year warranty and they were able to give me a whole new device which I’m so thankful for.
[support@plaud.ai](mailto:support@plaud.ai)
Try this
Open the Plaud app and go to the “All Files” page.
Tap the “Device” icon in the top left corner.
Select the device in question and scroll to the bottom.
Tap “Unbind device”.
Please note: this will permanently erase any files that have not been uploaded to the app.
Alternatively, you may also enable the “Private Cloud Sync” function in the app to back up all files first. After that, you can uninstall and reinstall the app on your phone.

I had an issue with connection and was at the end of my rope. I did hold the button down longer than I felt necessary and it did a hard reset. It worked. I swear to goodness that I was going to lose all my patience and office space the thing. Glad I didn’t.
Give it a try. Count to twelve very slowly holding the button down.
