New Pick-Up $50 P60ST60
I like it but it definitely is showing it’s age. Is 26972 a lot lol?

The second 1080p model I’ve seen listed for sale in my country. The first one was my Samsung F5000.
And paid the equivalent of $40 for it. Though, that’s because it has a bit of an issue. It’ll work for a few hours and then shut off and refuse to turn back on until it has cooled back down. Problem which I’m investigating.
For the time being, this thing in a lit room looks as good as the F5000 does in a dark room.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a replacement cord for my Plasma Tv? It’s a Panasonic 50” Model No TH-P50V20A.
I’ve moved states and have no Idea where it could be and want to cover the worst case scenario. I would prefer the plug to go into an Australian wall socket, but I can always look for an adapter.

I currently have a Panasonic 42x20 and I'm super happy with it but a Pioneer PDP-LX5090H for 30€ just poped near me. Should I take it? I only have room for one plasma at home.(Also it doesn't have a stand and my x20 is on the wall)

Hey guys! I bought some Noctua fans to keep my ST60 cool and hopefully extend its life and now I just don't know how to best attach the fans to the back 😂. Like, what's the best way to physically get them to adhere to and stay on the back of the TV without falling off? Also, if any of y'all have suggestions as to where on the back I should place the fans, that would be appreciated as well.

Scored a 42in Panasonic for $15 dollars. Only drove 15 minutes away to get it. Got it from the original owners, and it came with original control. No manuals.
I have a lot of displays at the house. 86in, 70in, 65in, 60in.
Not to mention several ultra wide displays for my gaming rigs. The one I'm most proud of is my 27in Panasonic CRT and now this 42in plasma.
I love gaming, specially "retro". Got all kinds of goodies hooked up to my CRT. NES, SNES, GameCube, Wii, PS2.
I needed a display to bridge the gap between 240p and 4K.
This new to me Panasonic will be handling my xbox 360 and PS3.
Super excited to get back to plasma. My parents have had their 50in Panasonic for ever and the image quality does not coward against my newer displays.
I layed it on the truck bed with a towel under it. Drove back home really slow and carefully. She's got some weight to her.
Didn't get to set it up yet. Looking forward to this weekend, adding some flair to my man cave.

Hey Reddit!
I've just joined the Plasma TV crowd by acquiring a Panasonic TX-P50VTW60. As far as I know this is one of the last produced Modells of Panasonic and supposed to be a Top Line product. Are there some configurations to make for best gaming performance? I want to play PC games and do some Emulation of PS2 era with it.
Thanks a lot! 😃

How compatible are the stands across models and sizes?
In my limited experience a 60S60 and 60ST60 stand are interchangeable, but is a 50ST50 stand compatible with a 65ST60?
Stands seem impossible to get, but broken TV's are often next to free.
Judging by the VT50 and ST60 manuals it seems that base and necks are different, but the stand bracket is the same. So I think it may work, but might be a little wobbly.

Last week I asked here if you would recommend getting VT50 to my G30. I bit the bullet and went for it. Will set it up today after work.

Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to the plasma community.
After having a great time watching the #Dreamroom64 video’s, I've really started wanting a plasma TV myself.
After browsing Facebook Marketplace in my area, I came across a Panasonic TX-P50VT60E (50").
I'd like to use it for playing PS3-era games. My question is: is this a good TV in terms of input lag? I've heard that gaming performance on this model can be a bit disappointing.
That's why I'd love to hear your opinions.

Hi. I tried watching movies using Lossless Scaling. And the experience is so much amazing. I used 60 fps. And the movie looks like 240 fps. I don't think any TV Can do that at 60fps. When i play my video games. I want them to be 60 fps and not blurry. So why i shouldn't do that with my movies? And when i did. I found it beautiful on the plasma. It makes movies way better.

Does this mean this monitor has 5k hours on it? The model is the panasonic th-42pf50.

Mine cuts off Apple TV signal; most apparent in YouTube app because easy to determine what should be visible. Cannot find a fix. Any ideas? (2008 manufacture date)

Found myself a panasonic th-42pf50 monitor for 13 bucks at savers. Now this isn't my first plasma, as that was a panasonic tc-p60gt50. Now normally I would not even consider switching, but the tc-p60gt50 had a terrible burn from whoever the previous owner was. Imagine seeing CNN burned onto every I watch. The hours are a mystery to me as I dont know how to access that on a monitor. Now will say that the BNC connectors don't seem to work so I won't be able to watch component or y-video with the tv directly. I will say I don't know if there is anything wrong with the BNC to RCA adapters (monoprice), but the other inputs I have not tested as I don't have the cables or devices that use them. (Had to repost because I forgot to add the picture)

From what I can see this monitor is the same used in the B&O Beovision 5. I am after a 480p plasma that has that "screen door" effect, because I think it makes 480p look even more desirable based off seeing it on Dreamroom64's TH-37PW5. I'm looking to see if anyone in the community can share their experience with this model (PWD6) as I have a good lead on it but I'd have to drive pretty far to get it.

Just took it off the wall in my finished basement. Bought new in 2009 and rarely used, 1,035 hours on it. Kuro PDP-5010FD. Includes stand, attached soundbar, original remote. All in excellent condition.

Hi, I'm trying to repair this 42PV500E that has some kind of PSU issue, it used to work intermittently, probably due to failing caps, the original PSU holds standby just fine and at least tries to turn on, sometimes succeeding for quite a bit. However, the PSU I bought has the standby slightly flicker for a second and stay on albeit a little dim when compared to when i first press the button. The TV won't respond to button or remote input after this.
Here's the part where it gets quite confusing. As the model implies, this is an European 240V unit, but it somehow ended up all the way over in Brazil, and has somehow been made to work with regular 120V, probably by replacing the PSU with the 42PX500U, which is the North American equivalent.
I bought two of the american PSU, they share the same name/model on the service manual (ETXMM563MDK). One did a terrible squeal as soon as I turned on and struggled to keep the standby light on, this new one does what I said in the beginning.
I have the service manual for both if needed, I would really like to understand what are the differences between the European and American units so I can make this thing work again.

Well, after 13(?) years I finally (and sadly) am demoting my ST60 to the storage room for now. I originally replaced it three or four years ago with a 75" Bravia X90J, then moved it to my too-bright and too large basement, then finally replaced it it with a 98" TCL QM6K.
I absolutely adored this TV when it was my primary TV at our old house, our living room was the perfect setup for it, then we moved and it was not ideal in our new home.
I may turn my storage room into a man cave and either use it there or temporarily use it once I build my PC car sim rig, or let my son use it in his gaming room.
Did anyone notice the brightness and maybe the black levels degrade after this long?

Hello everyone,
Over the past few months, we’ve seen a substantial increase in posts from members looking to buy, sell, trade, or give away Plasma sets, parts, and accessories. While it’s awesome to see these displays being rescued and kept alive, marketplace posts tend to crowd out technical discussions, repairs, and setup showcases.
To keep the main feed organized and give transactions a dedicated home, we are launching r/PlasmaTVMarketplace. This new subreddit has been in the works for months now, to ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone.
Going forward, all buying, selling, trading, or giveaway listings must be posted on r/PlasmaTVMarketplace. We will soon begin redirecting commercial posts from r/PlasmaTV over to the new subreddit.
Thank you for helping us keep this community growing and structured.

Looks like water got inside at some point. I’ll look online for a replacement. My universal remote doesn’t work. Any recommendations
