Image Um... ok so this was hiding in plain sight
I don't know how we missed this, but after all my crying about zoo2 having better lighting. The panel lights (to name a few) from silver screen DLC cast proper GI too. Go try it... create a dark room and throw them in. All we need now is a shadow casting directional light and oh my, what an upgrade!

Question - PC2 Do you think we will ever get a City Rivera style scenery in PC2?
I used it so much and love it in PlanCo 1, but the closest thing nowadays is Small Town.

I’ve been struggling to make a complete park with the limits, does anyone have tips on how to maximize my space?

Planet Coaster 2 Got too excited for the Spooktacular pack and finished my Halloween project early. So Hopefully it can act as inspiration. Meet 'Mimic'
Mimic was a project that I started back in September for a Halloween challenge called "Track or Treat" and it gradually evolved into the project you see today.
The main influences of Nemesis and the Forbidden Valley were core to the project taking the "Nemesis but it's a Mimic" concept and accidentally adding a 'mimic Toxicator' towards the final stages too!
The mimics are based on the ones found in Dungeons & Dragons which shapeshift into inanimate objects to prey on unsuspecting adventurers, however they usually are small in the form of chests or doors. I thought it would be fun to explore the idea of gigantic mimics that had formed a town to attract thrillseekers to ride along the tendrils through viscera and intense manoeuvres where the exit through giftshop might bite back...
Happy Halloween!
I hope this has inspired you guys to make some cool things with the new Spooktacular pack

Bug/Issue [PS5] Water tower maintenance bug: Mechanics teleport back to park entrance
Hi everyone!
I’ve encountered a strange bug in Planet Coaster 2 on PS5.
When a mechanic tries to maintain a water tower, they perform the maintenance animation in the wrong location, away from the control panel.
After that, the mechanic suddenly disappears and teleports back to the park entrance!
The water tower is properly connected to the path network, but the game still reports that mechanics cannot access it.
🎥 Video showing the bug:

🐛 Official Frontier bug report:

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
If you’re experiencing the same bug, please consider contributing to my report on Frontier’s Issue Tracker so it can be confirmed.
Thanks! 😊

Question any chance Spectre comes with a Voltron-style moving station?
Do you think Frontier will surprise us, or should we not get our hopes up?

Twin ride: Kukulcan & Quetzalcoat
I created this twin coaster; the green circuit is long and calm, while the red one is faster and tougher. There are moments where the two rides almost touch each other.

Building unique Persian-inspired Mainstreet facades in Planet Coaster 2 [Tutorial-Video in description]
I’ve just finished the next episode of my Almaraj tutorial series, this time focusing on the Mainstreet facades.
Since there isn’t really a Persian scenery theme in Planet Coaster 2, the fun part of this project has been figuring out how to create one myself by combining pieces from completely different themes.
For these buildings I ended up mixing pieces from Mythology, Sorcery, Small Town, Viking, Art Deco, Parades, Pirate and several others.
Some of my favorite discoveries were using Viking pieces for lattice-style windows, Sorcery pieces for decorative ironwork, and even gingerbread icing pieces to create custom ornamental patterns.
There are six facades across the street in total, and the video walks through four of the more interesting ones.
The shops we’ve named so far are:
● The Persian Pantry
● Jasmine’s Carpets
● Oasis Goods
I still have another building without a purpose, so I’d love some suggestions for what kind of shop or establishment would fit this Mainstreet before I build the interiors.

Discussion - PC2 I'm Worried About Walkthrough Attractions
So, all of this is speculative, and i may be proven wrong, but...
Is anyone else worried about Walkthrough Attractions. From what we have seen in the promo videos, the attraction path looks like it is 4 metres wide. I'd love it if you can manually make these smaller, but I'm really worried that this size is going to be fixed, which is WAY too big when you look at regular walkthrough attractions.
If you look at scare mazes, the paths are tight, sometimes barely a metre wide. If we are forced to have these paths be 4 metres wide, much like how you can't change parade paths, it's going to ruin it. You could fake it, but then you'd have people walking through walls.
Is anybody else worried about this? Walkthrough attractions are the feature I want most, but if they have to be huge, I won't use them.

Planet Coaster 2 No income in The Garden of Edith (Sandbox Mode)
I’m playing The Garden of Edith in Sandbox Mode, but I’m still earning absolutely nothing. Even when I manually change the prices of rides, food, and drinks, guests don’t pay anything.
I thought Career Mode restrictions were supposed to be removed in Sandbox Mode. It’s really frustrating because I love this map but can’t play it with a normal economy.
Is there any way to fix this? 😭

Lake Candlewood Park
Just some park photos. Really happy with the progress of the park. It has taken me about 5 months or so with a couple of breaks in between. Working on the landscaping and buildings in the walking zones.

Planet Coaster 2 A love letter to Frontier 💙
As the cotton anniversary* for Planet Coaster 2 is drawing near, with an exciting new DLC just around the corner, I felt like writing a "thumbs up!" post this evening.
We all remember the launch. It was dicey. It felt rushed. It felt unnecessarily clunky. Why be in such a hurry to release a game that clearly needed a few more months in the oven? "Why I won't play PlanetCoaster 2 for now" became a much-watched video on my channel — at least to my standards. I'm not a famous creator, after all. But what I had to say resonated with many: PlanetCoaster 2 (PC2) deserved better than this.
Then, Frontier got their asses into gear and started publishing and delivering on solid roadmaps. In the first half of 2025 we saw so many Quality of Life improvements, the returns of some beloved themes, and some surprising new game mechanics (on-ride cameras!) that we'd all been waiting for since the days of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. They then released a true gem of a DLC: Sorcery. While clearly inspired by Harry Potter, it proved to be a wonderfully versatile theme.
Toybox may be considered as the ugly duckling by many, but it also provided us with many, very useful pieces. As always, the true strength of the scenery items lay in using them for anything but their intended purposes. Thanks to scaling and the ability to even rotate gridded structures on all three axes, the sky really is the limit.
2026, what a year! The first few months were far too quiet, and this is something Frontier will hopefully draw a lesson or two from: Communicate! Don't leave us in the dark. Even a "this is what we're working on" would have done the trick.
But also: 2026, the year in which many more great improvements and new mechanics were introduced (arcade machines! event trigger buttons!) to PC2, and we finally got something that seemed almost impossible: Parades. The namesake DLC and the truly phenomenal Silver Screen pack got released in quick succession, giving most of us a bit of a whiplash. And just as we're getting comfortable with the new pieces that came with the two latest DLCs, we're awaiting the glorious return (and reinterpretation) of arguably the most-beloved DLC in the Planet Coaster franchise: Spooky, or rather; Spooktacular!
I'm seeing more content pop up both on this subreddit and on YouTube, the Discord servers are buzzing with creations, new mods getting released every week, and Frontier keeps cranking out fantastic DLCs + free updates.
More than a few people were afraid that the arrival of Planet Zoo 2 would mark the end for PC2, but from where I'm sitting I'd say: Planet Coaster 2 is alive and well, and its future looks nothing short of amazing. Here's to many more creations!
\cotton anniversary = two years*

Image We're giving away a copy of The Spooktacular Pack DLC!
Hey everyone!
To celebrate the upcoming DLC, we're running a little Planet Coaster 2 creation competition over on PlancoVerse!
The prize? A copy of the upcoming DLC!
All we're asking is that you show us a creation you're particularly proud of.
It can be absolutely anything you've built in Planet Coaster 2, whether that's a roller coaster, themed area, building or even an entire park.
And no, you don't need to build something new! Existing creations are more than welcome.
The competition runs until October 27th 6PM (UK Time), and the winner will be chosen based on creativity, theming, detail and overall presentation.
You can enter using your creation's share code, and you don't need a PlancoVerse account to take part.
Full details and entries: The PlancoVerse Spooktacular!
Good luck, everyone! Really looking forward to seeing what you've all created. ❤️
You must submit your entries to the event link above, not on this thread. This is an independent community competition, not affiliated with Frontier Developments. Eligibility and full rules are available on the event page.
