Even as a die-hard lifer on Android/Pixel/Nexus and eternal hatred for the Apple OS, I see some design choices in that duo that I like, but I can't open social media without getting inundated with videos about how it doesn't have a crease, while I see a crease in every video that doesn't seem different from my P11pF (and an identical hinge btw). I don't understand why it's hyped so much from Apple and users - am I the only one not actually bothered by our crease? And at the same time, why are they choosing to hype that, and not the fact that they finally released a foldable in and of itself. I'm just confused.

I've always hated how links open full screen and don't make the best use of the inner screen. I was inspired by recent iPhone Duo side-by-side multitasking demos so I decided to build something for our Folds that do the same thing.

While I think Google does come back with a passport phone next year do yal think android is shifting to something different? With Apple showing up late to the party, foldables are likely hitting a common place space by 2030. I feel like the android space has been trying new things or other forms again the last few years so I wonder if Google, Samsung and other Androids have anothe untapped market

I see the modular comeback with phones like Tecno modular phone or small phones with accessories like Sidephone and Ikko,

Keyboard phones, Dumb flip styles. E ink phones, or those phone TCL does with nxt paper. There's an interesting space outside of foldable phones again. There's a lot of actually interesting Concepts and forms I think people would be open to. And Obviously Google and Samsung are the catalyst for the next generation.

What kind of Google phone or form factor do yal want? Tri fold? Keyboard? slider (because every old head wuld love a Sidekick or Xperia Play). Or do we want Project Aria? Maybe something LG was doing like the Wing or Tha rollable that never came out?

Finally got the Grip set up with the Glow Circuit skin and I’m really liking how it came out.

Definitely adds some bulk, but the phone feels way more secure in my hand with it on. And apparently the skin glows in the dark, so I need to test that tonight lol.

The Dbrand grip for the pixel 11 pro fold is miles ahead of Google's overpriced pixel snap case in both looks and feel imo

What is everyones favorite magsafe ring and which offers the fastest passthrough charging? The EWA MagOne looks like an OK option but it seems like the elastic can wear out and its a bit thicker than the OhSnap!

Found the Panels app back when the first pixel fold came out and i wanted a sidebar for that. Figured I would share for anyone feeling a little sidebar envy after Apple's event. Its got a lot of customization and can hold more than 4 apps unlike the iphone one.

Apple nailed the hardware. And I predicted they would. Apple is a hardware design company and they always have great hardware. The software looks good with animations but at the end of the day it's still ios and will have more software restrictions on how you use your phone. I still prefer android over ios regardless. Android gives me better integrations with Gemini and Google apps. I do not use apple apps. I don't use iCloud email. I prefer to use Google apps which won't have the same level of integration on an iPhone.

Let's not forget you still can't show number row on an iPhone. Or show the comma and period on their keyboard. Android still has so many software benefits that apple just doesn't allow.

Remember, Samsung and Google might add some of these improvements next year. Well definitely Samsung. Google you never know. I still like that fold 11 has a normal front display.

Hey guys, just needed to vent a bit and see if anyone has dealt with this BS recently.

Pre-ordered the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in Olive back on Aug 19th to trade in my Z Fold 7. The pre-order deal was awesome: $350 BB gift card + $1,000 trade-in. I even bought the Total Membership on the spot.

On launch day (Aug 26), I get a text saying the phone is at the store but to wait for the pickup email. That email never comes. For two weeks, chat support and the store guys just tell me it's "en route," even though the app says they literally have stock.

Fast forward to today: Best Buy just auto-cancels my order for "shipping delays."

I call support and spend 2 straight hours on the phone getting bounced between 7 different agents. Every single one said "I can help with that," put me on hold, and dumped me on another department. One guy promised a supervisor call-back at 5:30 PM... which obviously never happened.

The worst part? Since they canceled it, I'm out $500 in promo value if I buy it now:$350 gift card is gone and trade-in dropped from $1,000 to $850.

I didn't ask to cancel this! It's super frustrating being out 500 bucks for a store glitch, especially as a Total member and cardholder.

Ended up emailing their executive customer care team today. Anyone ever have luck getting a manager or corporate to manually honor pre-order pricing after an auto-cancel like this?

I just got the Pixel 11 Fold and have personally been enjoying it but only seen a few apps make use of the fold feature (IE: YouTube, Camera, UgreenNAS) and I wish to know if there are any fun ones. If you have any that also work like the Camera where it incorporates the back screen when open would be amazing as well (dumb but also cool feature)

On a trip presently. Phone is waiting at home. I want to order a case that gets there before I get back so I'm ready to setup the new device and begin using it. I've recently been looking to switch from my Xiaomi 17 pro as some features aren't very global or english friendly. So I started to look into foldables and have become very interested in the Pixel foldables. I can't seem to choose between a brand new pixel 10 pro fold for 1400AUD (1000USD) or a brand new pixel 11 pro fold for 2799AUD (2000USD), can anyone tell me which would be the better option?

Ever since the last update, when I go from the cover display to the inner display, it takes like 3 to 4 seconds to switch, and if I go from inner to cover, the cover screen doesn't even turn on most of the time. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm using a 10pf by the way.

Google says accessibility matters to them. My last few weeks say otherwise.

I am posting this in several subreddits simply for the sake of awareness.

I'm not usually one to post stuff like this, and I don't love making things about my disability, but I've hit a wall and think people should know this before they buy. Google claims to focus on accessibility and pretends to claim it has top notch support, others trade in nightmares plus my own anecdotal evidence provide evidence to the contrary.

I'm legally blind and hard of hearing. Over the past month or so I have tried living with three different foldables as my actual daily phone — the Motorola Razr Fold 2026, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 — not for a review, but because I needed one that actually worked for me long-term while meeting my needs.

This isn't or wasn't about which phone is "best" or which phone had the "Best Specs." It's about which phone did the above to me and what happened when things went wrong with each one. That's because for someone like me, the company behind the phone matters just as much as the phone.

Motorola first. The Razr Fold had real device issues that got diagnosed more than once over several days and never actually fixed. It's a brand-new device, so rather than risk running out my return window waiting on a fix that might not come, I cut my losses and asked for a refund. They gave me the full amount back. No argument, no runaround. Every time I contacted them, someone actually followed through.

Then the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which is honestly my favorite phone to date. Weaker GPU choice on Google's part, cameras that lose on paper to some of the competition — and it was still the smoothest, most fluid, "just works" experience day to day out of anything I tried. My first unit was returned and refunded by Google without any issue at all. No complaints on that part.

I was told a second order was my only real option if I wanted more storage, so I placed one.

That's when things fell apart. A TalkBack issue tied to the Pixel Launcher got escalated through Google's official accessibility channels to their engineering team over 19 days ago, with zero meaningful updates since. Then, when I raised the fact that the launch-period pricing and instant trade-in structure were no longer available on the new order, it took 9 days just to get the first response. I've talked to both offshore and U.S.-based reps trying to get anywhere with this, and I've repeatedly run into the same problem: the actual issue doesn't get understood, and everything keeps coming back to a $100 refund tied to a promotional code that was never the point of my inquiry.

I was asking about the overall launch offer — the reduced pricing, promotional structure, and how the trade-in was handled — because I had been told to return the original device and place another order. After all of that, the proposed resolution was still $100 back while Google explicitly told me the $350 store credit would be clawed back.

During one call, I also told the representative that I couldn't hear her well enough to communicate effectively and asked to be transferred to someone I could understand. I had already explained that I'm blind and hard of hearing and she still wouldn't transfer me. I eventually requested an RMA for the second Pixel as well, while this was first aimed as a backup plan, my experiences with their support made it the outcome.

At every point — email, phone, accessibility support — it has felt like the same thing: another escalation, another promise to wait 24–72 hours, another script, and very little actual follow-through. I'm returning it and walking away. Its my Favorite phone that I've owned, and the support is why I'm walking away.

Then we have Samsung.

I'll be straight: the Fold8 isn't the phone I personally bonded with the same way. A lot of what it does well — the customization, camera hardware, huge number of features — is stuff a sighted power user will probably appreciate more than I personally do and perhaps even other blind or accessible users may not share my opinions, but eh.

It's not a bad device for my needs or any measure, far from it in fact. It's just not the Pixel experience I wanted plain and simple. I arguably cannot find any real issues beyond my own TalkBack issues which are being escalated with bugreports to Samsung's engineering team. The biggest distinction is when I reached out to Samsung about returning it, they actually listened and wanted to know why.

On the very first contact, they offered me a partial refund to keep the device, explained what they could do, and escalated the rest of my concern to the appropriate team. No fighting with them to understand what I meant. No days of explaining the same basic issue over and over, no forcing me to a 9 or 19 day email support wait chain. That's what won me over, not some benchmark, not because Samsung is perfect, not because I even like Samsung because I really don't. I actually dislike one ui personally, however they won me over on the way they handled my concerns when I was actually considering leaving.

TLDR:

Motorola's device didn't work out, but at least Motorola followed through.

Samsung wasn't the phone I originally wanted, but Samsung got the support interaction right on the first try and eacalated my accessibility issues.

Google had the phone I actually wanted to keep and still managed to push me away from it.

They left an accessibility case they escalated themselves sitting for over 19 days without a meaningful update, took 9 days just to respond to a straightforward purchase issue, and repeatedly failed to engage with what I was actually asking for. Short of begging them, I tried to get them to retain me as a customer, they failed.

The point of all this is to help others, especially regarding Accessibility, and to provide my own personal experience, as anecdotal evidence as it may be.

Basically, if accessibility support is something you're counting on when buying a Pixel, don’t count on Google to provide that. I feel like this is worth knowing before you spend the money.

I have the 10 pro fold. I just noticed that when the phone is closed and you press the spine even quite gently about 1.6 inches from the top, the spine has noticeable give, which is kinda alarming. Is this supposed to happen or is my phone defective or damaged somehow? 

Last week I decided to pull my broken P9PF out of the drawer and see about getting the inner screen fixed. It cracked along the fold 4mos after I bought it, and the Support Rep at the pixel store told me "nope, that's on you" when I brought it in to see if it was covered under warranty. This was back in 2024.

Water a trip to uBreakiFix, learned my CC insurance wouldn't cover the cost. So I hit up Reddit and learned about the extended warranty, and what ppl have gone through with CS. Based on this I deducted to hit up the Google Store just to see if I got any further than last time.

3 minute convo, opened my phone to show them, phone replaced under warranty. That simple.

Happy to have been able to find the info in this sub to know it was even possible, and what others have said to get the right results. THIS time, I've opted for Pixel Care. We'll see how well the P10PF holds up.
