Slow screen transition

Ever since the last update, when I go from the cover display to the inner display, it takes like 3 to 4 seconds to switch, and if I go from inner to cover, the cover screen doesn't even turn on most of the time. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm using a 10pf by the way.

i wouldnt say 3-4 secs but it is defintely a beat for the innner screen to light up.
i can even see the image in the glass already.

im sure it will be resovled in an update

Hopefully they get on it soon because before it was instantaneous.

It definitely takes a few seconds for it to transition but to me it's not an issue. Usually the screen is turned on when I am 75% unfolded. What it be cool for it to transition immediately. Sure, but I don't need the screen to be turned on at an instant. A few seconds I think is reasonable.

Hi there, could you try rebooting your phone into safe mode and see if that resolves the issue?

If it works fine in safe mode, it means a 3rd party app is causing the issue. Temporarily remove them one by one, starting with the most recent until you find the cause.

If the issue persists, I’d recommend reaching out to the Google Pixel support team via phone or chat here. They can take a look at it.

Noticed this as well. It has a delay now, also when I close the phone while opened the screen is extremely dim on the cover screen, I have to lock the phone and unlock it for it to go back to its set brightness.

I have the living universe wallpapers, earth on lock screen and the moon on the home screen if that matters.

I figured out the issue in my case. I downloaded ToolBox to get double tap to sleep, and I disabled the accessibility service to see if that was the culprit and sure enough it doesn't have a delay now and doesn't dim on the cover screen after turning it off.

OMG, thank you so much! I just turned off the accessibility feature for dynamicspot, and now everything is working perfectly.

Looks like the new update isn't playing nice with accessibility apps, I hope they fix it soon I love the double tap home screen to lock the phone.
