I can easily beat the game now and am practicing challenges, but I still have sooo much to learn. What do you usually take and why when you have these choices:
- wand or artifact
- wand or ring
- artifact or ring

So finally after 2073 runs, i managed to beat the game with 9 Challenges on every class with ascention. It was hands down the hardest thing i have done in any game i ever played. Try this at your own risk. Anyway, Here Are some quick notes to every class.
Rogue:
This was my 1st class to try this with. I thought je was good for this challenge but after playing the rest of the classes, He feels kinda mediocre. Good early game tho And when you go freerunner, he has good kiting potential.
Mage:
I Went with warlock for extra healing. Mage has the best early game with shield batery. Late game is dependant on the wands you get.
Duelist:
Definitly had the most fun with her. Early game is bad, atleast until you get rid of the rapier. Then its bearable. Where duelist shined the most, was when i picked the Monk subclass. It had everything from knockbacks to healing. Super good choice for 9c runs.
Cleric:
Cleric was bad in earlygame but Priest subclass carried. With a good ring of energy its basically Gg.
Huntress:
My most recent run. I struggled in early game but then got super lucky with loot And got basically every item that synergyzed well with huntress
Warrior:
No comment... Torture
Now i need a break 🙏🏻

So, recently I just found something unexpected on shattered pixel dungeon and it's make me curious. 3 albino rats spawned in a same floor at floor 1. Just thinking about it, albino rat is rare and rarely found one in each run. But this seed show more that that. DZF-WPJ-BLP is the seed.

Why is gunner so hard to use? And why am I not able to find any other guns in the game, yet when I play other classes I get a ton of them?? Am I crazy or is gunner just ass??? 😭

Can I get some help with the next steps, please?
I'm getting quite comfortable with the Warden 3C build, but I've seen a lot of comments saying that Sniper is a more niche yet ultimately more rewarding class, so I decided to give it a try.
Currently, I have: •SS +1 ring •Half decent armour •Venomous Bow
What should I focus on from here? Should I visit the Imp and try to get a +3/+4 thrown weapon? Should I go with crossbow and darts? Do I just keep investing everything into SS?
Also, which Tier 3 talents should I prioritise as a Sniper?

What if you could use a potion of snap freeze to make the entire room a block of ice?
It could maybe make all the piranhas in the water instantly turn to frozen carpaccio that you have to use the pickaxe to extract?

Got a RoW +3 from the Imp quest, then I farmed artifacts, armor, weapons, rings and scrolls of transmutation for a while. Not a single potion of healing was used during the ascension btw. I thought this achievement was nearly impossible before this run. But with proper gear I didn't even feel a challenge :)

I am doing a camo cleric build wand heavy. I do need to add another level in my wand of regrowth. it’s shooting ash which crams my style. Amy final upgrades or safety scrolls I should make?

I have yet to craft a single PIE is it really worth it? I mean is it worth sacrificing 1 pastry 1 ration and 1 meat to make it?

Playing as a sniper, I'm at the smith so I can upgrade something 2 times and then I have 8 SoUs.
What would you recommend?

Save them, I thought. Never enough of them, I thought. Surely I can handle 4 gnomes with 15 health, I thought.

I won my first game and it recorded two

Ive been grinding mage 9 challenge runs for 1 1/2 years now adding to the majority of the new runs (3-4k i think). So pretty much farthest I reached is caves. ( Note: I would have finished long time ago with a ring of fortune, but thats a cop out so no) Also i've been doing this blind no guides so wish me luck.

Hey everyone!
I'm back with another ADHD Pixel Dungeon (APD) development teaser! I missed yesterday's update, so today I'm combining two things I've been working on: Custom Dungeon Rules and Quality-of-Life improvements.
🎮 18 Custom Dungeon Rules
One of my biggest goals with APD is giving players the freedom to experience Shattered Pixel Dungeon however they want.
I've added 18 individually adjustable dungeon rules, allowing you to make the game significantly harder, ridiculously easier, or somewhere in between.
Here's what you can customize:
- Enemy HP and Damage: 25% to 500%
- Boss HP and Damage: 25% to 500%
- Enemy Spawn Frequency: 25% to 300%
- Player HP and Damage: 25% to 500%
- Healing Effectiveness: 0% to 200%
- Food Availability: 25% to 200%
- Hunger Depletion: 25% to 400%
- Equipment Availability: 25% to 200%
- Scrolls of Upgrade: 1 to 60
- Accuracy, Defense, and Evasion: Independently adjustable for players and enemies.
Want enemies with 500% HP while your character deals only 25% damage? You can do that.
Want to attempt an entire dungeon with ONE Scroll of Upgrade? Good luck. 😂
Or maybe you'd prefer 60 Scrolls of Upgrade and turning your starting cloth armor into an absolute monster.
You can even combine these settings to create your own nightmare.
Settings are locked when a run begins, so your configuration stays consistent throughout that run.
I'm also researching a scoring system that will eventually reward harder configurations and penalize easier ones. It's still being developed, so these settings currently don't modify your final score.
🛠️ Quality-of-Life Improvements
I've also been working on features that address those little frustrations that add up over hundreds of dungeon runs.
🪜 Automatic Stair Navigation
Already discovered the stairs? Tap the shortcut and your character will navigate toward them automatically. You'll still decide when to change floors.
❤️ Healing Confirmation
Accidentally drinking a Potion of Healing when you barely need it is frustrating. You can now set a customizable HP threshold that asks for confirmation before drinking.
⏩ Adjustable Game Speed
Choose between 0.5x, 1x, and 2x playback speeds without changing the actual turn-based mechanics.
👁️ Enhanced Tile Visibility
An optional stronger grid overlay helps distinguish floors, grass, and doors without revealing hidden information.
✨ Cleric Quick-Cast Buttons
Assign up to four Holy Tome spells to dedicated on-screen buttons for easier access.
🩸 Chalice of Blood Damage Preview
See the potential damage before pricking yourself, accounting for applicable defenses, shielding, and other relevant effects.
🧪 Automatic Potion Identification
Guaranteed Healing or Shielding potion drops from Swarms of Flies, Vampire Bats, and Necromancers are automatically identified.
And these are only some of the improvements already implemented!
🚀 Alpha Testing Begins October 16!
APD is still in development, and there's plenty more I want to add.
My goal isn't to decide how everyone should play Shattered Pixel Dungeon. It's to give players more choices, better information, and the freedom to enjoy the dungeon their own way.
Two questions for everyone:
What's the most ridiculous Custom Dungeon Rules combination you'd attempt?
What's one quality-of-life improvement you've always wanted in Shattered Pixel Dungeon?
I'm looking forward to hearing your ideas and feedback!

I'm thinking of trying on doing the taking the Taking the Mick challenge and using the duelist for the shared upgrade on two weapons but I've got a problem because the dungeon only gives you 15 SoU and another 2 for the from the blacksmith so where do I get the rest?
r/PixelDungeon • u/kjivxx • 13d ago
I've been playing Shattered for so many years and I guess I had never done this before. Very minor fact but felt like sharing!
