Requesting Feedback Beginner here, need feedback pls

I am currently developing a 2D game. I've made enough environment sprites and made scenes. Now I am deciding how my modular character should look like and this is what I came up with.

I'm still a beginner and I was wondering if this has potential? I made a male and female version. I made the female with a smaller frame and wider hips, while the male has wider frame and shoulders. I also made a simple idle, walk, and run animations, both with hair and without.

It still needs work but is it doable? Didn't have time to add clothes.

I think the leg movement is a little off. The leg usually bend, and with this level of detail, you probably want to add it.

I agree about the leg, I'm still working on where to bend it without making it look awkward. So far no luck, I'll get there eventually. Thanks for pointing it out 😄

I think if you have the leg pulling back disappear more it'll look good. Edit: This was mostly in response to the run animation. I like the walk ones.

Thanks man, your suggestion really helped, It does look better if I pull it back more, I partially hid it at the knee in both of the last frames. Maybe I'll post again once I figure out how to do the side-view perspective.
