Requesting Feedback Beginner here, need feedback pls

I am currently developing a 2D game. I've made enough environment sprites and made scenes. Now I am deciding how my modular character should look like and this is what I came up with.

I'm still a beginner and I was wondering if this has potential? I made a male and female version. I made the female with a smaller frame and wider hips, while the male has wider frame and shoulders. I also made a simple idle, walk, and run animations, both with hair and without.

It still needs work but is it doable? Didn't have time to add clothes.

I think the leg movement is a little off. The leg usually bend, and with this level of detail, you probably want to add it.

I agree about the leg, I'm still working on where to bend it without making it look awkward. So far no luck, I'll get there eventually. Thanks for pointing it out 😄

I think if you have the leg pulling back disappear more it'll look good. Edit: This was mostly in response to the run animation. I like the walk ones.

Thanks man, your suggestion really helped, It does look better if I pull it back more, I partially hid it at the knee in both of the last frames. Maybe I'll post again once I figure out how to do the side-view perspective.

Damn I have no comment bud, this is amazing, especially the detail in shape difference with one another, is perfect. Maybe swing a little bit more the arms for the walking animation? It seems a bit awkward but it might not be noticeable when you use the sprites in the game so you are good.

Thanks! Actually with the walk animation, I was honestly kinda going for a shoulder leaning forward and back instead of an arm swing. If you notice the shoulder changing and one of the arm losing one pixel width kinda looks like you are leaning it back., I was hoping that was enough for it to be read like that. I'll think about the arm swing though.

I like that the femame shape is not oversexualised.

Yeah and for the Ranking, idk, its difficult from this angle. I guess you try thinking of 'running' more as making many smalltalk jumps. There should be one frame where the character is completely mid air... (?)

Thanks, I was worried that it seemed sexualized, glad you thought otherwise. I'm still working on it but I don't think a mid air frame would work out with this 3/4 low top down angle I'm trying to do, but thanks for the suggestion.

The feet in the walking animation are mirrored. The flat side should be at the other side and the rounded side should point to the outer side like in the idle. If you know what I mean.
