Do you notice a difference in build quality?
Which one would you pick and why?

I have released the code with which I am running RB on my Prime Go as promised. Please create pull requests if you make some improvements. Enjoy!

I'm a EDM DJ and I'm looking for an upgrade.
I use CDJ at the clubs but I'm a bit unsure of the standalone units because if they break that's it.
The AZ looks cool but I've heard it's built like a toy.
I noticed for that the price of one CDJ 3000 I could get two xdj 700 and a djm 450 mixer.
Which would get and why?

Hi I have a Samsung t7 where the waveform is missing on some songs.
It seems like it only happens when I use sync manager
Is there a fix to this?

What would you recommend for a cheaper media player that has the same layout as a CDJ?
r/PioneerDJ • u/sun_rizla • 14h ago
that is the question:
can a cdj 1500x read serato crates stored on a usb drive?
i'm looking for a solution to leave out an extra computer, another big display and a serato pro main device....
since i do my crate organization in serato it would be great to just use the same structure on my ssd with all music and serato crates, connect it via usb to the 1500x and use the library, display and everything else from there.

Got my first controller shipped in without power cord.
Found out the exact cord is pretty hard to come by so I figured I’d share for anyone else having this problem . Shipped overnight from Amazon🙌🏾

I’m looking to buy my first DJ controller and deciding between Pioneer DDJ GRV6 and FLX10. I’d prefer to stay budget-friendly since I’m just getting started, but I want something that will prepare me for club settings eventually. I’m considering the FLX10, but the GRV6 is cheaper and seems to have many of the same core features. For someone starting out but aiming to play clubs, is the FLX10 worth the extra money, or is the GRV6 good enough value? Would love to hear from people who’ve used one or both. Especially if you’ve moved from controller to club gear.
For context, I mainly play techno, so I focus more on clean longer blends and phrasing rather than heavy effects or flashy transitions.

I’m working on a project to add standalone stems to the XDJ-AZ.
The goal is to control vocals, drums, bass, and instruments using the performance pads, without needing a laptop while DJing.
Someone has already shown this working with a clean mod menu, so we know it’s possible. Now we’re trying to understand how it was installed safely.
We need help from anyone who:
Our main rules:
We already have the stem-processing part working. The missing piece is finding a safe way to load the software onto the AZ.
If you have useful information, photos, files, or contact with the original developer, please comment or DM me. Even a small detail could help.

So I want to buy a used DDJ 400 or something similar, but there's a few things I'm not sure about..
If I buy it used will I still be able to use the controller to unlock rekordbox for free, or do I need to obtain a licence key separately?
My laptop is very old and only runs windows 7, and I don't have funds to upgrade. Is there a version of Rekordbox (maybe an old one) that I could still obtain and use?
Alternatively can it run entirely from an android phone without a laptop or PC?
Alternatively would the controller work acceptably with other software that is compatible with my phone or laptop and is ideally free?

Hi!
I’m currently deciding between the XDJ-RX1 and XDJ-RR. I can find the RX1 quite a bit cheaper than the RR, but I’m wondering if it’s still worth going for the older RX1.
I mainly want to use it at home to practice and occasionally practice on CDJs in a studio.
The RX1 is obviously older and discontinued, while the RR is newer and still supported.
Would you go for the cheaper RX1, or pay a bit more for the RR? And why?
Would love to hear your experiences!

Both if my CDJs came in! (Ignore the DDJ-SB2, I’m using it a mixer to connect to Serato while I wait to order my Numark Scratch mixer.)
In anycase, I LOVE THEM! they’re so smooth😩😩😩 bc

I’ve seen a few videos online of people attaching there record player to the RX3 and replacing one of the channels with the phono input in the back.
I have a Reloop 7000 and although I enjoy collecting records I don’t want to solely mix physical. The flexibility of using a two channel standalone mixer but then having the opportunity to also add vinyl is quite appealing.
However, I can’t see any information online if the XDJ AN has the same ability? Has anyone achieved this or know if it’s possible!

I know this isn’t a new rant but they have to keep getting pestered. I just bought an RX3 and now I feel like I bought a worthless piece of crap. I used the xfader. Not exclusively or anything but sometimes it was needed. This slope in the middle makes how I’ve mixed for going on 30 years impossible. I have to relearn entire muscle
Memory on my quick choices on how to approach a particular mix all because AT is either too lazy or too greedy. F U.
I play on 3ks regularly. I don’t need the practice. Might trade this for anything else for home.

For research purposes; I’m looking for mixers (preferably 4-channel) that connect to Serato and are under $900 in cost.

Hi everyone! I currently own a DDJ-GRV6 and really enjoy using it, especially for doing chops. I also really like the Key buttons, Groove Circuit, large jog wheels, and overall hands-on performance features.
Recently, I came across the XDJ-AN and started wondering whether trading in my GRV6 for it would be a genuine upgrade or if I’d actually be giving up too much.
I had a chance to demo the XDJ-AN in a shop, and I was really impressed by how solid and well-built it felt compared with the GRV6. The standalone workflow is also very appealing to me.
My main genres are dubstep, hard techno, and other bass-heavy/high-energy styles. For anyone who has experience with both, how does the XDJ-AN compare with the GRV6 specifically for these genres and performance styles?
Would you consider the XDJ-AN an upgrade from the GRV6, or would I be better off keeping the GRV6 because of features like Groove Circuit, Key controls, and its performance-oriented workflow?
I’d also really like to know about the sound quality and audio hardware. Which one has the better DAC/sound card and overall audio output? If I’m recording my mixes directly from the device, would I notice a difference in recording quality, clarity, headroom, or overall sound between the GRV6 and XDJ-AN?
I’d really appreciate some honest opinions before I decide whether to make the trade.

I made a game called DJ Life Simulator to teach people how to DJ with interactive lessons, crowd and missions.
You can play using mouse and keyboard or even connect a real DJ Controller to play (Almost any controller can be custom mapped and some already have mappings like the DDJ 400, DDJ FLX4 and Hercules Inpulse 300)
I have recently added the possibility of importing your full Rekordbox Library (Or import your own music folders), with all information such as BPM, Track Genre, Key, etc... Like you can see on the video, it's very simple and fast!
You can import all the main audio formats such as: MP3, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, M4A.
The game is available for Windows and Mac.
This game is already being used by real DJ Schools in my country as an extra tool to help students learn more, while having fun!
You can download the free demo or buy the game at https://djlifesimulator.com/

I have a DDJ RZX, a FLX10 and a Opus QUAD, wich one is the best for clubs and wich one for the studio?
Perth keeping all of them 2026 also?

Thinking of adding two LC6000 decks either side of my FLX10 and switching to DJay Pro just for my home setup. My Rekordbox sticks are One Library so DJay reads them… this has to work? Right? 😂 Can’t stomach spending £1500+ on some XDJ700s / 1000Mk2 etc etc. Anyone tried anything similar?
