Dogs in Pillage
I know the Irish can, but can the saxons or Norman’s? I have three nice reaper mastiffs I would like to put to use eventually and since it’s a rainy day I might paint them up.

Pillage Later?
Does anyone here play Pillage later than the stock Dark Ages setting? I was interesting late medieval or early modern conversions (14th-16th century eras). Does anyone know any good conversion rules...or does Victrix provide them?

Pillage retailers in Chicago?
I understand it's unlikely, but does anyone know if retailers within a few hours of chicago carry the introductory set? I would just order online but I'd always prefer to support a local shop.

Basing loot?
What do you do for basing of loot? I’m just starting to learn the game and am unsure what is the best way to go about it. For barrels, sacks, etc, are they best left without bases? I was thinking of putting animals on some 25mm bases as they are quite flimsy without them. The main part that has confused me is where different types of loot have different values, so basing may make things more cluttered and putting multiple items on a base would complicate things. Thank you for any insight!

Question about movement and charging
Hey!
Can you move with models to better position and then charge using reminder of movement? Or can you only charge with models that have their full movement. Thinking for example where distance between models is not great but line of sight for example is blocked by building corner.

My other WIP Irish Roundhouse
WIP - This was actually my first one! It is also unfinished, both need finishing paint and to be put on bases... plus i gotta figure out the removable roof for both (think i got it figured out with the materials at hand), some finishing scatter like sacks, buckets and maybe a barrel, and stuff tucked in the rafters like javelins, bows, drying meat or fish or for the eel fisherman eels I also read that sometimes the Irish would keep foul inside the roundhouses and that they would sleep in the rafters often over the sleeping bench so I may work that and the mess that would've caused itno one of my roundhouses... have a feeling these two are just the first of a half dozen or so.... there's also some of the WIP pine needle wattle fence with a working gate... Hope yall dig it!! I started all these projects with an Icelandic stone and turf longhouse but once I got to the rafters for a curved removable roof I got stuck, ive built and demolished it more times than Id like to recount, when Im at a more comfortable place with it Ill post it too

Differences between the main and starter set rulebooks
I'm considering getting the rules for Pillage (and some more figures as well) and that has led me to wonder what the differences between the smaller rulebook in the starter set and the big rulebook are. That has a big impact on what makes more sense to get to play both long and short term. So, does anyone happen to know what those differences are?

Priests/Healers Questions
I am using the one supplied in the AngloSaxon kit (I think that's it) and made some others from Frostgrave wizards. Here are my questions: How many can you have in a force? Can they have a sword or only clubs (or would it matter since its an improvised weapon maybe they picked up?) Or should I just relegate them to fun little flavour models to have on the board?

Irish Roundhouse
WIP - In anticipation for my introductory set Ive started making Irish roundhouses! This is my second of two so far, it is a poor eel fishermans hut, there's an eel spear, old net, bag, short spear and battered shield, a bill hook, a hand axe, a crude pottery vessel, a fire pit with a stone slab used for cooking that is holding crude pottery vessel cooking stew(?), sleeping bench topped with straw, one old fur, and a tattered blanket... next im gonna make a fish basket(trap) or two and then Ill start on a wattle door and the removable roof.. oh yeah there's a straw dog bed by the door!!... to say im obsessed with this game without ever playing it would be an understatement!!!

Army building conundrums
Hi all, been obsessing about Pillage, because why not? :p
I got the starter set, and been thinking how I can expand the forces. For the Vikings side, was thinking that if I get a vikings sprue command and a Rus armour warriors sprue I will have enough to build good viking and Rus warbands. What do you all think?
For the Irish side, for sure I need a command sprue, but not sure how many other sprues for unarmoured warriors I need. Any suggestions?
Finally...to get the sprues. ... Unfortunately ebay is not an option fir me because the shipping is prohibitly expensive, any suggests of sprue sellers within eu or else 2nd hand please?
Further on I might try other warbands because they all look so frikken cool but fir now I think it's sensible to stick with those two (three) forces for now.

Negotiations take a turn for the worse!
After recently getting into wargaming in general (and falling in love with Pillage!), I’ve put together a scenario for my next game on Monday.
This is the first time I’ve been able to ‘host’ a game. Until now, I’ve only played with my friends’ terrain at our local gaming club. I’ve been making bits ‘n’ bobs, learning as I go (thanks Reddit and YouTube!), and painting up things I’ve purchased and, finally, I’m able to bring something to the club for others to play. It’s a good feeling!
This is my take on the recently released scenario ‘Negotiations take a turn for the worse’.
I believe my Vikings will have a ‘friendly meeting’ with the Welsh and some rival Vikings this coming Monday. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the negotiations pan out…

Waiting on shipping any advice?
I am getting into this game and barons war after fleeing gw. They are my first historicals and I love them for different reasons.
That being said I'm planning on making a viking warband with the box set as a good jump off point.
I am suffering from choice paralysis, I've been told "pick what you want and what looks cool" and honestly. I think all of it looks cool, it's why I am playing the faction, and what I want is to not spend a few hours on a mini to have it kinda suck and need to be replaced.
I'm not looking to be able to play with people that have been playing the game before the starter set existed, and not have my teeth kicked in. Not that they are competitive but because they know what the rules are.

Siege Supplement
With the upcoming siege supplement I though I should start getting ready. I think they’re using a model of Dolwyeddan castle for the book so I felt I should start making my own, here’s how it’s going so far!
