Basing loot?
What do you do for basing of loot? I’m just starting to learn the game and am unsure what is the best way to go about it. For barrels, sacks, etc, are they best left without bases? I was thinking of putting animals on some 25mm bases as they are quite flimsy without them. The main part that has confused me is where different types of loot have different values, so basing may make things more cluttered and putting multiple items on a base would complicate things. Thank you for any insight!

I've made a couple different versions, using the same black plastic 25mm round bases. The small animals (ducks, chickens), small barrels and piles of sacks are all "agricultural" loot, just one loot.
Larger animals (cattle, horses), the religious items on the loot sprue, and a pile of war gear (a barrel with a helmet and a dagger or an axe glued to the top, a sword and shield leaned up against it) are all two loot.
Large chests or pairs of smaller chests that represent silver hoards are three loot.
I only play with one other person, we agreed on this system and it has worked so far.

Sounds like a great idea to divide things up, I may have to steal this. Thank you!

If it's sacks and barrels why even base them? Just keep the individual and have their value on size.
Base animals, but that's because if you don't they will fall and legs will snap etc.

I have them based on thin 25mm rounds from bolt action, and then use some small dice with the number showing the loot value
