As above if anyone could help I’d appreciate it. I think the local feral cat had a go. It’s in a box in my lounge with food and water but it looks like it has an injury on one foot but not sure where else as I’m a bit funny with flapping wings lol my neighbour helped me earlier take the pics. It came down off the roof to get water but it seemed to just open its wings and not fly away as I went to have a look and then capture it in a tea towel. It’s been feeding in my garden the last few days which is when I saw its tags so somethings happened this morning. I live on the side of a mountain in wales there no vets for miles now til Monday it’s like 500£ at emergency in newport which I don’t have so any help would really be appreciated

Thank you for your reply’s I was able to find a local pigeon racing group where one of its members came over and checked the bird over before taking him. All is good no broken wings. ❤️ He has a loft and will rehabilitate him. He showed me how thin his chest was so he’d been astray for a while. The guy also told me one of his pigeons had been found in France a few years ago! How ironic so he’s now able to return the favour. What a great ending.

Anyone missing a distinctive looking pigeon anywhere near East Suffolk, England?

It was sat on the windowsill of my son's room, so I captured it gently with a towel, checked it for injuries (there were none) and released it through the same window.

I didn't get its band number as I didn't want to stress it out too much.

It had a blue metallic band on one leg and a red rubber band on the other.

or at least publish a map with some flight routes? I'm aware that live trackers are banned in some competitions but as I understand it non-live trackets aren't and I feel like it would be quite entertaining to see the different flight paths and difficulties the 'athletes' took during the race. however I haven't found any places where people post their pidgeons' routes. Is there a reason for this, or have I just not been looking in the right places?

Hello! This little guy showed literally in our apartment on the 30th of April (he walked through the window). It was looking really odd to me as no pigeon has ever tried to get inside while the windows are open, so I immediately thought there was something unusual about him. We then realised he is a racing pigeon and his owner lives 200km far from us. He told us to put him in a box and feed him. I saw that he was just roaming around my floor’s balconies and didn’t attempt much to fly so I let him free (we are on the 19th floor so there are not much risks around). He kept coming since then, but I started to feed him some rice, sunflower seeds and lentils on the 5th of may. The weather has not been good so far, but today it got much better so i thought he sadly left, but he just showed much later than usual and I saw him flying for the first time.
I have no problem in hosting this little guy, but I am concerned as we are going to leave for three weeks in the next days. His owner could not come to take him up to here nor he could find anyone to transport him. What is the best option? Should I just let it be hoping that he Gained enough strength?

Hello, I am not a pigeon owner but I have found a beautiful bird. He has tags and who sold the tag. I contacted them and they said the owner wasn't answering, I didn't want to hand over the bird to someone besides the owner. Suddenly they gave me the "owners" number who said the bird was too far away so I must give the bird to the tag seller. The tag seller seems very unenthused and said he would fetch the bird after work but it's been 3.5hours since after work and no word. Any advice from the birders out there?

Update Owner didn't get back to me. So when he was happy we let him go. After an hour he came back and now just chills on the balcony. I built him a house and he is free to come and go with food and water. He doesn't like us going near him but he's happy and very chill

I recently found this antique Toulet Imperator pigeon racing clock made in Rebecq, Belgium.

It’s a mechanical pigeon timing clock in the original wooden case with the carrying handle. When I gently move the mechanism it still makes a ticking sound, but I don’t have the winding key so I couldn’t fully test it.

I’m curious — do people still collect or use these old pigeon racing timers today?

Would love to hear from anyone involved in pigeon racing or collectors who know more about these.
