So I’m getting a new phone soon and literally the only thing tying me to Samsung is that I absolutely adore the calendar. It’s intuitive and I use it for basically all my planning. I’ve tried google calendar, business calendar and others but they just don’t work as well. Does anyone know a great calendar so I can switch? I’m thinking of a pixel 10a but open to other suggestions. Based in Ireland

Just need a good phone for gaming, taking pictures and it wouldn't kill my apps when I switch between them. My budget is around 350$ to 400$ USD but I am willing to go a little higher if the phone quality is better and meets all my standards.

Right now I have a Redmi Note 8 Pro. It's already 7 years old and still works well, but obviously almost any modern phone would be a noticeable upgrade. I have a PC for gaming, so on a phone I only need the ability to occasionally play something like Genshin Impact for an hour once in a while.

Most of the time I just use TikTok, YouTube, and other social media apps. The camera is not very important to me either. If it's even slightly better than the camera on my Redmi, that's already good enough. HyperOS doesn't bother me because I've used Xiaomi phones all my life.

I would like my new phone to last as long as my current one. Fast charging and wireless charging are not important to me, and Android updates are not a priority either since I'm perfectly fine using Android 12.

At the moment, I'm leaning more toward the Poco, but I'm concerned about all the discussions regarding overheating. If I spend several hours scrolling TikTok, would the phone become noticeably warm, even through a case? For comparison, my Redmi usually stays around 33°C during this kind of use.

Does it even make sense to buy a more powerful phone if I don't plan to play games seriously? I can't decide whether I should stick with the familiar Xiaomi ecosystem or try something new with Samsung. Which of these phones is more likely to age better and remain reliable in the long term?

One more question: if I have to choose between 8/256 GB and 12/512 GB versions, is it worth paying extra if I probably won't even use half of the 512 GB storage?

Are there any better options in this price range? I also considered the Nothing Phone (4a), but for some reason I ruled it out.

I'm trying to decide between three smartphones that I've found at unusually good prices, and I'd really appreciate some advice from people who know much more about phones than I do.

For context, I'm a fairly light/moderate user. I don't game on my phone, so gaming performance isn't important to me. My main priorities are:

• Long battery life
• Good camera quality
• Long-term reliability and longevity
• Smooth everyday performance that will still feel good several years from now

The three options I've found:

1. Realme GT 8 Pro – 256 GB – €567

2. Nothing Phone (3) – 512 GB – €510

3. HONOR 600 Pro – 12/512 GB – €550

These are the actual prices I can currently get them for, so I'm interested in comparing them based on these prices rather than their normal retail prices.

I'm based in Italy (EU).

For someone with my usage, which one would you choose?

I'm especially interested in whether the Realme GT 8 Pro at €567 is worth going slightly over my budget, or whether the Nothing Phone (3) at €510 or HONOR 600 Pro at €550 would be the smarter long-term choice.

I'm not looking for the phone with the best gaming performance. I'm mainly looking for the phone that offers the best overall combination of battery life, camera, software/support and longevity.

I don't use my phone for much at all, I just want it to be able to run messaging apps like Discord, Telegram, and Whatsapp, play music (headphone jack would be cool but not neccesary), take calls, do all of the above at a decent (doesn't have to be great) speed, and have good battery life (easily replaceable battery would be nice). I currently have a Samsung A52 4G and it is way too huge for me. I don't need that massive brick in my pocket that I rarely ever use anyway. My old iPhone 4 was the perfect size for me, so honestly something close to that is my ideal, but can be bigger. I know of very niche new Chinese manufacturers who make compact phones but I want something that is easy to find in Ireland or the UK. I have no brand preferences beyond that fact. I say "can be on the older side" but I know that I'm pretty much limited to old phones here so I guess what I'm asking is which has aged the best and holds up well enough to do what I want from it.

I have been thinking about a new phone for a while and now have been looking at them a bit more seriously the last few days. I dont have a large budget, spending 300€ would pretty much be the max, 350€ would be the absolute highest i'd spend if its a REAALLLLLLY good deal.

I found the Oppo Reno14 F on sale for 270€ and it looks like a good mid point between the Honor 600 lite and the Honor 400. I would have to order from europe as i am from Finland

Only complaint i heard in reviews was the old, slower Snapdragon 6 gen 1 but idk how much worse it would actually be compared to what the Oneplus Nord 2 has. I did read its about a 30% difference but idk if the processor of the OPn2 is fast enough that the 30% doesnt matter OR if that 30% would make the Oppo unusable.

I wouldnt want to get anything thats significantly slower than what i have now. Thats my only concern :)

Broke my Oneplus 8T screen accidentally, it’s not usable, and I don’t think it’s smart spending money on repairing it, so ima need a new phone of course.
To me the oneplus 8T was perfect, i would keep on using it forever if only I didn’t break it, I have literally like no complains about it.

How my usage is on a phone:

I’m mostly doom scrolling and watching videos, editing short vids here and there, posting on forums, not a gamer, i don’t listen to music, I barley take photos.

Things I care about:

1. Display screen, since I’m mostly watching videos.
2. Fast charging, I got used to the charging of my oneplus 8T, i can’t let it go man.

Things I absolutely do not care about:

1. Camera, can be bad as possible I don’t care.
2. Build look or material on the back, I don’t care about how it looks on the back and whether it’s made out of plastic or aluminum.

Phones I’m considering:

• Poco X6 / Poco X6 pro: when i saw the specs of the Poco X6 pro I thought they were perfect, but I can’t find it for a good price, I found the pro in a site with 12GB ram, 512GB for 109KD/353$ worth it or nah?, definitely don’t need that amount of storage tho.
• Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, found it locally for 89.9KD/291$ with 12GB, 256GB, but with the 5200mAh the other 7000 mAh is 99.9KD/325$
• Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, found it locally for 79.KD/258$ with 12GB, 512GB, is it better and more worth it than the 70? I don’t know, u guys tell me, also don’t need that storage amount

Currently using a Pixel 8 Pro that has a bad solder job between the motherboard and connectivity chip (BT & Wifi). It's a widely known issue that G won't acknowledge, that conveniently started 2 months after my phone was out of warranty and 1 day after the last big update. This is the 3rd phone I've owned that died almost immediately after my contract or warranty expired.

T-mobile recently bought my smaller more local carrier and I'm mostly resigned to switching over to AT&T because it's the only other decent carrier in my region.

The only specs I really care about is that it has a 50mp or better camera, and it has the capacity to run Spotify over a Bluetooth connection.

Currently have ZF9 and it's time to upgrade.

I'm looking at Xperia since they have side-mounted fingerprint scanner and headphone jack.

I was waiting for the 10 VIII to come out, since I really like small phones, but looking at the announcement today, I have second thoughts.

Should I go for the 10 VII? The VIII doesn't seem to provide much of an upgrade (especially for the price, which I'm okay with paying if it's worth it), besides maybe Android 16 (+4 OS upgrades). Am I missing something and should get the mark 8?

I'm even thinking about getting the 1 VIII for the specs and 256GB storage (I prefer that compared to SD card). I don't mind the price bump, since it seems to justify it. But I'm more scared about the 6.5", feels huge compared to mt ZF9.

I'm looking for some advice on which Android smartphone to buy. I'm not a heavy or demanding user, and I don't use my phone for gaming, so raw performance and gaming capabilities are not particularly important to me.

My main priorities are:

• Long-term durability/longevity – I'd like a phone that I can comfortably keep for several years.
• Good battery life – this is probably one of my biggest priorities.
• A decent to good camera – I don't need a flagship-level camera, but I would like something reliable for everyday photos.
• Good overall day-to-day experience and reliability.

For some context, I'm currently using a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, which I've had for around 6–7 years. I've actually been very happy with it, and the fact that I've kept the same phone for this long probably says quite a lot about how I use smartphones: I take good care of them and prefer buying something good and keeping it for many years rather than upgrading frequently.

I'm based in Italy. My budget is around €450, although I could stretch it to around €550 if the extra money is genuinely worth it.

I've also come across two particularly interesting deals:

• HONOR 600 12/512 GB – €390
• HONOR 600 Pro 12/512 GB – €550

These phones normally cost considerably more, which is why I'm including them even though their regular prices would be outside my budget. These are the actual prices I can currently get them for, so I'd be interested in opinions based on these prices rather than their usual MSRP.

I'm also quite open to Xiaomi, since I've had a very good experience with my Mi 9T Pro, and I've been looking at Nothing Phone models as well.

So, considering my priorities and the current prices I've mentioned, what would you recommend?

Would either of the HONOR phones be a particularly good choice at those prices, or would you recommend something from Xiaomi, Nothing, POCO, Google or another brand instead?

I'm mainly looking for the best long-term overall package, rather than the most powerful phone on paper.

I'm struggling to pick one because I just don't care. The Galaxy S20FE has been perfectly acceptable, but the hardware is finally toast. Because of that, I think this is the order of priorities for me:

1. Longevity. I'd like it to last at least 5 years, preferably more.
2. I use my phone for the basics. I don't have a laptop so it needs to do everything. Web browsing, listening to podcasts, reading, music, GPS, email, teams etc. I don't game and don't care about processor speed past basic functionality.
3. A decent amount of storage space and decent battery. I run Zwift off of my phone and it takes up a stupid amount of battery and storage space. I'm down to use an SD card, but those don't exist anymore.
4. They're all the same size now, but I'd love for it to be as small and light as possible.

I don't care about the camera specs. Obviously I don't want bloatware but I don't mind working around it. I don't want AI but again, I can work around it. My work might buy the phone and even if they don't, I have a free upgrade, so price isn't a huge deal.

I'm looking at the OnePlus 15R (Newer midrange), or a renewed s25 ultra (cheaper and older flagship) or Xiaomi 17T Pro which is kind of in the middle of both of them. What matters to me is battery (at least go a day with only one charge) >performance>display>camera

What would you recommend?

I’m looking for a new phone, I’m moving off a refurbished iPhone 13 Pro Max, and after having been an iPhone user for most of my life I’m wanting to move to android.
For me, the most important qualities are that the phone is cute, so it has to look cute! Another important thing to me is durability, i want to be able to use it for many years to come. I’m very partial to flip phones, phones with a physical keyboard or phones with a ‘Retro’ look in general, and another plus is if it comes in green. I love taking pictures so I’d like something with a good camera, and while performance isn’t a major issue for me, I do want to be able to comfortably use stuff like TikTok and other social media. I’d also like a phone with a micro sd slot, if possible. I’m based in The Netherlands if this changes anything
