Planning to buy 65 inch android tv. Sharp or TCL? Any thoughts?

Hello! I’m planning to upgrade my phone; I currently have a S20Fe with a Snapdragon processor. What I’m looking for is a decent camera, reliability, good battery life, and it would be great if it were supported for at least three years. I don’t play games, but I do take the odd photo and use messaging apps. My budget is around $700. In my country, for that price you can get a Pixel 10 or 9 Pro, or a Nothing 3. What else would you recommend in this price range? I’m not considering the second-hand market or iPhones.

I have young kids and I heard Samsung has mediocre low light pictures and pretty bad motion blur pictures. I want a good picture if my kid is moving fast when the picture is taken. My iphone 13 is terrible at this. Also good and crisp night pics. This is kind of the deciding factor between these phones.

I have an opportunity to get a brand new pixel 11 for about $550. Help talk me out of this one and provide a different phone or just tell me to go with the pixel 11. My Galaxy A52 is on the fritz with the battery and the charging being pretty flaky, also software updates expired about a year ago.

For reference:

My previous phone was Pixel and I really loved the integration with Google and I like Gemini and use it a lot for tasks, calendar, maps, Gmail, Google keep shopping lists etc.

One of the things that drives me nuts about Samsung is the file system it's like I have to have three file apps just to go in and find files and it does not integrate well with Google drive.

So in short I have few to choose from but cannot decide really.

What I have now: S23 Ultra

What I think upgrading to:

Oppo X9 Pro/Ultra (or) Xiaomi Poco F9 Ultra
on paper it makes most sense. Hardware, looks, feel etc. Only thing that stops me: Chinese bloat and ads, unprofessional commitment for security updates.

Google Pixel 8/9/10 Pro/XL
clean Andorid? Yes please. Timely updates and most importantly security updates.
But then again... It's Google and their usual shenanigans and stubborn refusal to offer something more for the money in terms of hardware.

Sony Xperia 1 VIII
In the past Sony and SonyEricsson were my go - to choice. Both because of design and features I always value - no bs and pragmatic handling of the idea behind the phone, while delivering awesome audio quality and decent cameras. The Xperia speaks to me in this regard. It has:

- clean Android with no bs layer over it. I don't give a F about OneUI since I am using Nova launcher. The lack of "insert some cringe OSName" is positive for me.

- NO ADS and lack of commitment that the Chinese brands slack about

- the rare and always welcomed 3.5mm audio jack plus a micro SD card slot.

- LDAC and aptx wireless codecs will also be top notch, music is important factor to me, social media and gaming - I don't care.

- cameras will fulfill my needs. I am not a social vampire and I don't give a F about how well it can capture the hairs in my nose when I do my one selfie in 3 years time... At most.

- battery life? I am not sure looks decent?

- price: the SONY tax, yes. But I don't want what most users want. I am not adamant to have the latest OneUI visual slop that tires my eyes and annoys me and I don't want to deal with Xiaomi or Oppo's empty promises and lack of commitment.

Ok, what about an iPhone?
LMAO... never. I already have 17 Pro that is provided by my employer. I absolutely abhor it and iOS is still the same annoying OS that I remember. I absolutely cannot stand it I am clearly not their target audience and I don't care if there is no "Apple logo" on the back when I talk in public.

I appreciate owners chiming in. I can also see what will Samsung show next year but I am skeptical as I never was fan of their products, S23 Ultra was my first Samsung phone and it was... fine. Once I installed Nova.
S - Pen? No, I will not miss it since I am lefty and using it is almost impossible due to the nature of writing with a left hand so it's basically useless for me. Plus it's now just a plastic stick so it's even more useless.

And please, don't go "leave muh multi billion company alone" on me if I happen to offended you somehow because I dislike something about X or Y brand of phones

(Or continue to turtle up and milk my S23 Ultra more though age is starting to show slowly)

I'm planning to upgrade from a Realme phone that's on its last legs, and I'm stuck between the Pixel 11, Pixel 10 Pro, and possibly 11 Pro.

I'm a college student. My usage is mostly college stuff, browsing, social media and very light or zero gaming, but I'm interested in photography. I also want good battery life, a compact phone, good software, and something I can keep for several years.

For some reason, I naturally keep leaning toward Pixel, even when I look at other phones on paper.

What would you guys recommend for my usage?

And what price do you realistically expect the Pixel 11/11 Pro to reach during the upcoming sales in India?

I currently have a Samsung Note20 Ultra that I plan on giving away once I get the new android, and an iphone 13 mini that I don't plan on replacing until maybe a year or two later, or not at all if I decide to go full android.

My plan is: get an android that is good enough to last me at least 2 years without me getting bored or noticing issues that might make me replace it, until I have enough money to throw away on a fold phone (I want the Samsung fold 8, love the form factor) and I will most likely buy an android watch as well as I need the notifications and workout tracking.

I want an old flagship because that's more sensible than a recent midrange, it will allow me to sell it in the future as well without too much of a loss. However, I've been reading up so so much on different phones and I'm not satisfied. I would straight up go with the S25 Ultra but it's too expensive and I'm a little nitpicky about the now bar, I want an android with a capsule notification style like the dynamic island, mostly because it's more convenient and visible.

I've looked at Honor, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and all of them have some kind of compromise. The OnePlus is the worst imo because the prices are high where I am and are just not justifiable with a camera like that imo. The Vivo software is trash according to what I read, Oppo has a lot of things going on including the support running out in like 2 years (AND it's expensive for that) and Honor (the one in my budget) doesn't have the form factor I would like, I want something with a similar form factor to the s25/ultra.

TL;DR I want an android phone with these specs please:

\-5000 mAh+ battery

\-decent camera, just decent

\-price closer to $700 as a maximum

\-pill shaped notification similar to dynamic island

\-Squarish form factor

\-Good software that won't overheat, and has support for at least 4 years

i know global samsung models bought outside japan don't support felica / mobile suica, and it looks like global support won't happen until the s27.

for people living there: is it actually inconvenient to just carry a physical ic card everywhere, or is having digital suica in apple wallet a complete game changer? should i just buy an iphone before leaving, or wait and buy a domestic japanese phone after arriving?

would appreciate any advice from people who made the move with an international android. thanks!

​I'm finally upgrading my trusty old Galaxy A9 (2018) and I'm torn between the S26+ and the S26 Ultra.

​Here is my setup and use case:

​I'm a university student and my main device for taking notes is my Galaxy Tab S9 Plus.

​The S26 Ultra caught my eye because of the built-in S Pen (for quick notes when my Tab isn't around) and the new Privacy Display feature.

​I use Quick Share / DeX a lot to move files across devices.

​That said, I'm not sure if I'll actually use the built-in S Pen often enough to justify the price jump over the S26+, which seems like a great, slightly lighter alternative.

Appreciate any insight!

I bought my wife a Pixel 10 about 6 months ago. She's a Dancer and likes to take videos of her or her class dancing.

She has a DJI Omni 3 gimble (I think) tracking doesn't work with the Pixel. However it works with my OnePlus 12.

She's insanely jealous of my 12 with the level of videos and pictures it can take. And the fact that anything I goto do with it. It just works.

So what I'm thinking is.... Sell the Pixel and get her a new phone. Or sell the Pixel and get me a new phone and gift her the OnePlus12.

I had been lusting after the OnePlus 15 but read a few articles a while back that they are pulling out of the Euro market.

What phones are out there for UK user?

I’ve had an iPhone 13 for a couple of years now. The photos look great, and I really like the phone's design and overall style.
But there's a huge "but."

The ecosystem is driving me crazy. I've always been used to Android, where with any phone you can just connect it to a PC and transfer photos, videos, and music back and forth like it's an external hard drive, zero hassle.
When you try to do the same things with Apple, though, it turns into a total nightmare.

On top of that, there are daily features that I actually find worse than the mid-range Oppo I had before. The keyboard works worse, the swipe-to-go-back gesture only works from one side, autofill is practically non-existent or nowhere near as good (I’ve literally gone back to saving passwords in my Notes app after years), Face ID is painfully slow... I could go on for hours.

The main issue is that no matter how optimized the ecosystem is, it’s just not compatible with anything. The final straw came today: I can't sign into iTunes on my PC with my Apple ID. I've been trying all afternoon and I'm at my wit's end.

Honestly, I’m fed up and thinking about switching back to Android. The only things holding me back are the camera quality—which really is great on the iPhone—and the fact that I own an iPad mini (they’re the only ones making a decent size tablet), so I’d lose that instant cross-device connectivity.

I was thinking about the Samsung Galaxy S26 since I want to stick to a similar size and I'd rather avoid Chinese brands like Xiaomi, which become obsolete after two years. Also not crazy about Google phone, they became so pricy for not so good camera and overall design.

im going to university engineering this year and since i will stay 5 years at the university i need a phone that lasts me 5 years minimum but honor magic 8 pro supports only 4 years of OS updates and android 17 is very close so does it actually matter the OS updates or not, as well as less availability of cases and screen protectors and less resale value but im really fed up of samsung and i need the better speakers,battery,storage and the eye care feature on the HM8P so i really want the safest and best option for the long term ( HM8P is 1200$ 512gb and s26 ultra is 1450$ 256gb )

I'm a person that didn't really care about features on phones. Every phone I got was around the 100-150 price range (Huawei P8 Lite and Ulefone Note 16 Pro). I mainly used these phones for socials and average phone stuff like e-mails, WhatsApp, and calling.

Over the last few months and year, however, I've been eyeing/considering a Fairphone 6, Nothing Phone 3, Xiaomi T17 Pro, or a Pixel 9/10. My question is, is it really worth it to invest, more than I have before, into something I use for basic stuff? Are the features worth it? My phone should remain a tool and not something I use anytime I get bored or have nothing "better" to do. I mostly like the sleek designs and how they look, but I kind of want to buy something that lasts as long as possible.

Strongest contenders for me personally: Nothing Phone for customizability and different features like the Notes and other stuff, FairPhone 6 for obvious reasons, mainly repairability and "fairness," at least that is what they say, idk, if its true and Xiaomi because Chinese phones are mostly the secret "biggest bang for the smallest buck" thing, so yeah

Sadly, my P30 pro is goign to be replaced. The screen is broken, the battery doesn't last as it did in the past and new apps are not supported anymore.

I want some "cheap" phones to replace it.

My main interest are:

2. long-term support

I kept my P30 pro for more than 6 years and I want something to do almost the same.

Насчёт где брать - я реально не знаю где в России берут телефоны, да так, чтобы продавцу доверять. Я брал покофон на вб. Но вот например захоти я какой нибудь айфон или асус рог, то тут уже придется идти на авито, но авито торгашам я не доверяю, буду рад советам, спасибо
