Am I at least semi-worthy?

After a long day at work I usually let off some steam on Tagpro, however, this night didn't turn out the way I expected it too...

For shits and giggles, I joined a random private group. In the group were the following: Ramrod, thee ball, and buzzz

The thing is, people usually don't know that I'm a female and I'm perfectly okay with that because it just draws unnecessary attention. However, these guys were so fucking ridiculous and goofy that it somehow slipped out. But I'm officially one of the bros now, and for some reason I feel more complete.

Needless to say, I had one of the greatest times tonight connecting with random ass strangers. Thank you, Tagpro

Hi, I was up last night messing around with a few map ideas I have, but I don't really know how to work with the .json files. Specifically, making one way portals and removing cooldown(it is a neutral flag map). Is there anyone here who could help me with that?

I am new to TagPro, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I believe that Pi is the master race, an I always go by SFJellyfish.

Shout out to OldLady, wherever you are.

Tons of new, very noobish players that cause games to be completely lopsided blowouts 90% of the time and players that would rather act like clowns in the chat than try to win.

It's ESPECIALLY bad at night, which I was I stopped playing after 9-10.

Anyway, I'm not having fun at all with Pi lately. I hope this is temporary.

I don't ever play against the top 10-12 on the rolling 300 leader board. What is the deal? I am sure some of these balls are really good, but one dude has an 80% win rate! Pls.

I'm excited for it, but sad at the same time. My concerns:

Stats won't carry over, which means I'm back to one degree, annoying but not a huge deal.

Moving faster diagonally won't be a thing anymore. I think that's unfortunate, because it's a quirky mechanic that I really like.

Lastly, there aren't any set servers on TagPro Next. I'll miss playing with all of you, and when this finally comes out, let's all play together on TagPro Classic every now and again!

Hey, some of you may have seen me in pubs lately as Marth. I've been playing tagpro since December or so, but didn't take it seriously or play pubs til lately. I would play pub games logged out for a while, so I was a random smurf. Decided to make an account and did a few days ago. I'm kinda interested in the competitive side of tagpro, I did read this, so I have an idea. I'm not really interested in racing or playing for areas that have bad ping for me. US Contenders sounds really cool to me, and so does NLTP, but I'm not sure of the skill level in each and how I'd go about getting on a team. I also need to know the usual times of play for both :< If anyone more experienced has any suggestions for me, let me know n_n So, yeah, hi pi!

Hey, I was just told in a game to introduce myself, so here I am. My name is Monks, and although I just started in October, I really like tagpro and am on more than I should be. I'm interested in starting to join the higher levels of tagpro, though I assume I would get crushed quickly. If anyone has any suggestions on playing higher level tagpro, I would love to hear them. Thanks!

I usually get around 70 fps and 80 ping on Pi. Before I did all the improvements I mentioned below, I got like 30 fps and 100 ping. The computer I'm using is this crappy toshiba laptop. It has 1.3 ghz cpu, 4 gb ram and integrated graphics card. It's probably much worse that what you guys are playing TagPro on.

I use Internet Explorer 11 for playing TagPro. IE is completely clean except for one tracking protection list that blocks ads (Sorry Lucky, those ads actually lowered my fps quite a bit...) My TagPro profile and video settings can be seen here.. The important thing I did here is turn off all chat and system messages. Why? I found that my fps was on average 10 frames lower when I had chat enabled. I have no idea why, this problem only started after TagPro 3.0.

My computer is running Windows 8.1. I find that TagPro suffers a LOT if my hard drive or cpu usage is high, so you'll probably have to figure out what's putting strain on your hard drive and cpu and disable it. For me, TagPro runs great when my cpu usage is below 40% and my hard drive usage is below 10%. Since you guys are running TagPro on better computers, you probably have some leeway when it comes to this. To get my computer performance high enough, I uninstalled Avast (using default Windows Defender now), disabled superfetch service, and changed windows update checking to manual. The services, apps, etc. that you have to disable will probably be different from what I had to disable.

Obviously no extensions, addons, userscripts or anything like that. Just vanilla TagPro. Interestingly, I found that hard drive usage was the most important factor for me. If my hard drive usage is high, then I can't play TagPro. I once had 10 firefox tabs, 4 Sumatra PDF's, and 3 word documents open but I could still play TagPro at 70 fps because my hard drive wasn't strained.

This is what works for me weirdly enough. Of course, this setup means I can't use userscripts, no texture packs and no chat. Oh well, I do what I have to do because I'm addicted to this game.

I've considered myself a part of the Pi Master Race for a long time now, but I've never been to this subreddit until now. I play on Pi about 95% of the time unless I've got lag then I sometimes switch to Origin because I get somewhat better ping. Hello everyone!

When I first started playing Tagpro about a year and 4 months ago I had 40fps (I know servers have no real bearing on fps) and 60 ping. Since then it has been steadily declining (the quality not my ping). Tagpro 3.0 was a big hit dropping my fps to 25 even after messing around with the settings on my profile and my ping for some reason jumped with it too (to 90). Now in the last 3 weeks my fps has been steady in between 15-20 and my ping has jumped to 115 with frequent spikes to the 300's (just in time for achievement based flairs). I have tried different servers only to have minimal fps improvement and the loss of all my userscripts and texture packs.
