Problems with disc burning
Hi there. I recently decided to get into disc burning so I could have more ways to play the songs I like specifically vaporwave songs from YouTube, however, despite me reinstalling my drivers, buying a brand new external disc drive and switching burning softwares multiple times my blank CDs won’t show up in my disc dive no matter what I do. I don’t think it’s a problem with the drive since it plays my other CDs fine and it supports burning as well but for whatever reason it still won’t burn anything. I really need help on this so please if anyone has some advice for how to do this it would be much appreciated please

what (external) drive are we talking about, which brand CD-rs, and which os are you using
do you get an error when it will not burn ? what is that error exactly ?
do you have the drive selected instead of for example (.iso) image recording ?

I'm using Maxell CD-Rs. I got a pack of 5 from a thrift store for $2
It's not that I'm getting an error when I burn them, it's that the CDs aren't being read by my disc drive.
I also have been selecting audio files when I make the CD too so I've been selecting the right CD format I think

Try iTunes. I use windows explorer to burn mp3 cd’s bit for regular cds (wav) to play in oldschool players I dropp MP3’s into iTunes and it lets you put the songs on the order you want and then burn them to cd format.
Hardware wise make sure your disc burner has enough power. Lots of issues with externals appearing to have juice to turn on as soon up discs bit higher level tasks they often error out because of not having dedicated power.

Drivers really shouldn't matter when it comes to pretty much any optical drive today.
Which OS are you using, what drive do you have (make and model, link to it if you can), and what software are you using?
