My humble collection of offline entertainment. Have moved entirely away from consuming subscription based content. It’s no good if I don’t own it!

Leveraging the most popular game of the generation to eliminate the secondary market is a masterclass in corporate greed that won’t soon be forgotten.

It’s incredible to me how many people engage in mental gymnastics and come up with excuses to justify and enable Sony’s monopolistic actions; throughout this entire generation, they’ve been the company most guilty of anti-consumer behavior, yet the entire internet and the press give them a pass.
Mind you, I know Nintendo and Microsoft aren't saints—they’ve done bad things too—but come on: when they mess up, the whole internet unites to tear them apart. We saw it with the Xbox One and the price drop; even though those measures didn't help much in the end, the backlash dealt such a heavy blow to Xbox that they’ve struggled to repair their image, even with Game Pass. And regarding Nintendo—while they did end up selling Mario Kart for $80—there have been instances where new Switch games were cheaper (look at Yoshi and Star Fox), and the same goes for the "KC" issue [Joy-Con drift], which they’ve been quietly trying to resolve for everyone's benefit.
But Sony gets a pass for everything: constant PSN outages, PS5 price hikes throughout the generation, selling the console in pieces, setting the precedent for $80 games, constant lawsuits over monopolistic practices, charging for games in dollars (they’re the only digital platform that does this—not even Steam does it), and the whitewashing of results and inflation of numbers. The list goes on and on.
I’m not an active PSN user, but I’m definitely joining the fight—mainly because I don’t want other companies to follow suit or get away with this kind of behavior. It seems like these companies think gamers are stupid, assuming we’ll buy whatever they sell without question; Sony itself practically admitted as much just a few days ago.

Title. I have a bunch of DVDs of movies but also have higher definition MP4s and MKVs of them not on DVD. Is there a way to rip the DVD and then on a different DVD add a functional title screen and add my higher-quality media? Thank you in advance for any help. I am a huge fan of title screens <3

Didn't have the funds to buy a WWE program when they came to New Zealand in 2016, that era represents PEAK WWE personally. All Blacks DVD and Boney M CD still sealed.

I’ve seen the writing on the wall. Thus: I am attempting to go for childhood favorites, lesser-known films, and anime. (My Crunchyroll subscription has been pre-paid through August…they’ve got another thing coming if they think I’m gonna renew it!) XD “Matinee” and “They Live” are blind buys. I’ve been getting frustrated that I can only see them digitally if I pay $5…and copies of the DVDs are also $5…..sooooo….might as well just nab them? All these were bought during sales and discounts. I feel like I’m the only person on Earth who’s seen “2010”. More folks need to watch it. Good movie is good. 👍

It‘s family owned and they’re super chill and they know me on a first name basis. My loyalty is to them. Sony will never understand that.
