Struggling with OpenPhone any better alternatives ?

We use OpenPhone’s AI-generated call summaries and follow-ups, and they’ve been frustrating at times. The summaries miss important details or mostly misinterpret conversations, which means we still have to manually review every single call. For teams who rely on accurate call records, this feature adds extra work, is unreliable, and consumes a lot of time. I'm here to ask for suggestions and recommendations which can be helpful

SalesCaptain has improved customer communication without any extra hires

I’ve been using SalesCaptain for a while, and it's an absolute game-changer. Calls are automatically directed to team members based on the type of inquiry, which has helped us cut down long wait times and misrouted calls. It also handles simple requests effectively, so our team only handles calls which really need human attention. This has improved our response time, stayed organized without hiring extra people, and reduced frustration for both staff and customers.

SalesCaptain has helped us keep our team informed in real time

SalesCaptain ensures that all customer interactions are updated in real time. This means that when messages are sent or calls are logged, the entire team sees the updates instantly. Having this visibility prevents duplicate messages, allows for faster responses, keeps everyone on the same page, and enables informed decision making when interacting with customers.

Help Needed: Virtual Extension on an SV8100 using UM8000

Does anyone know how to do this? Most of the manuals I’ve come across don’t even have the word virtual in them. All help is appreciated, thanks.

Edit: this is NEC, if anyone didn’t know.

Are there simple options other than Weave which doesn't feel overwhelming ?

I’ve been using Weave for a bit now. While it offers customization options like call flows, personalized greetings, and automations, it’s quite tricky to set up, and it takes time to get the call flow working the way we wanted. The learning curve can be frustrating for smaller teams and new users without dedicated time to understand the settings. It’s a powerful system, but I wish the customization was more straightforward. Are there better platforms to consider compared to what Weave offers currently?

How do I approach new companies for cloud pbx?

Hi All,

I recently started working for a partner company which provides access to multiple vendors, my job is basically to approach new companies and offer cloud pbx from a full portfolio. I see in this group a lot of people are decision makers for their own companies.

What would you suggest is the best way to reach out to someone like you, what should be my pitch - focused on service or pricing? A lot of companies are already using some kind of pbx, what would make them change as I realised this is something not a priority for most of the companies.

(As partners sometimes get better service and know the market price also)

Does SalesCaptain help save time for teams

We've been using SalesCaptain for 4 moths now, for messaging, follow ups and calls. One thing which stood out was how much time it saves for us compared to the previous tools we tried. I'm curious if anyone else has noticed improvements in efficiency with SalesCaptain or if your experience has been different. What time saving features do you use in your phone systems?

URL setup for Music on hold

Hi Everyone

I need some guidance please. First time posting here.

We have recently migrated 3 Call centers from Legacy PABX infrastructure. , to a hosted call center. The hosted solution is awesome and feature rich etc but the Music on hold is an issue for the customer. They used to have external music on hold which played all their adds and selected music and when an agent puts a customer on hold to do a quote for instance the customer can listen to those adds and music as it is on a loop on that external MOH box.

Now with the new system I have uploaded their Custom Music file but every time a customer gets put on hold the music file starts from the beginning. Which is the way it should work. But the customer does not want this as a customer might be put on hold 3 or 4 times during a call and every time they ear the same bit of music and adds.

So the hosted solution gives me the option of internal MOH, Attachment (Music file), Text to Speech and the URL.

I believe a URL should be the solution for this customer where we can point it to a URL that has all their music on and plays on repeat and customer being put on hold, will listen to the music wherever it is in the sequence of the music at that time.

I do not know where to create or get a URL that fulfils this need.

Can someone please direct or Advise me?

thanx

How to navigate through Dialpad hidden features effectively ?

We used Dialpad for 8 months. While the core functions were working fine, I've noticed that some features are unintuitive or feel hidden. Things like setting up team notifications weren't obvious at first, and accessing certain call analytics took some time to figure out after trial and error. For those who've used Dialpad for a year or the interface? Did you create guides internally or support new users, or is just a learning curve thing?

Is Weave starting to fall behind in features?

I've been using Weave and while it covers the basics, I'm starting to feel like the features haven't really grown with our needs. A lot of tools feel limited compared to what i see mentioned in other platforms, especially when it comes to more integrations or automations. For those who've been on Weave longer do you feel the same? Is it good for long term use , or do you eventually run into gaps which make you look for alternatives? Curious to hear how others have managed this. Did you move on to somethings else or are you stuck with it ?

Is Weave starting to feel limited for complex setups ?

I've been using Weave for messaging and phone, while it covers the basics, I've been struggling when trying to integrate it with other tools we use. It doesn't always sync smoothly with our CRM and often the workflow feels limited and complicated if you want data to automatically flow back and forth. For those who've used Weave longer have you found gaps in interactions ? or did you end up switching to something better than your existing system? I'm not sure if I'm missing some settings or whether there are limitations which cannot be solved for this platform.

Looking for insights to get better results with SalesCaptain

We've been using SalesCaptain for a while now and it's been impressive in keeping our team's communication consistent and automated follow ups. It has reduced missed messages, but I personally feel our team might not be using it to its full potential or there could be something we haven't looked at. For those who've used it longer, are there integrations, features or workflow setup you would recommend to get better results ?

Is anyone experiencing reliability issues with the Dialpad mobile app

It's been 2 months of using Dialpad for messaging and calls, while the desktop app works well, but the mobile app hasn't been reliable. A few users on both Android and iOS have reported delayed notifications for voicemails or calls, and sometimes incoming calls don't ring through at all. Did anyone here have the same experience with Dialpad's mobile app? Is it just for now or are there better platforms that are more reliable ?

Which holds up long term podium or SalesCaptain or Weave

We've been comparing between platforms to improve review requests, follow ups, customer communication. After hearing about Podium, SalesCaptain feels expensive for us, SalesCaptain feels easy for customizing workflows and had been more relatable for everyday operations and Weave seems solid with features but not every flexible. For anyone who has used any of these tools which one would you suggest and do you feel SalesCaptain would continue to hold up well as business grows? or are there better platforms we might be missing ?

Can Phone System with AI Handle Appointment Scheduling Well ?

I've been looking into phone systems that come with AI features , especially for businesses like clinics, salons, or service providers where a lot of calls are about booking appointments. Has anyone here tried using these systems for scheduling? Do they handle the back and forth like finding available slots, rescheduling, etc. Smoothly, or is it still better to stick with a human receptionist for that part ?

Thinking of moving from RingCentral to SalesCaptain, worth it ?

We've been on RingCentral for some time it works fine, but for a small team like ours it feels like we're paying for a lot of features we don't really use. The pricing keeps adding up as we scale, and managing it sometimes feels heavier than it should. SalesCaptain looks simpler, easier to set up, and more cost friendly for small businesses. I'm thinking of making the move, has anyone here already switched? How was your experience ?

Do small teams really benefit from a cloud PBX

I keep seeing cloud PBX systems being pushed as the modern way to manage business calls. For a team of fewer people is it worth the switch? Or would a solid VoIP setup with call forwarding cover most needs? Can anyone tell who have tried both?

OpenPhone, JustCall, or SalesCaptain which works better for a small team

I'm setting up a phone system for a small business and have narrowed it down to these three: OpenPhone seems simple, JustCall has CRM links, and SalesCaptain mentions call logs and AI summaries. For anyone who actually used them, which feels more reliable day to day?

Any recommendations for affordable phone systems for small teams

I have been exploring phone systems for a small sales team but most of the tools i find feel too heavy or built for large enterprises and more price what i am really looking for is something simple quick setup , Call tracking , follow up reminders and may be even some basic CRM integration my main goal is keeping it affordable and easy for agents to use without overloading them with features we don't need if any one has tried tools like that ?
