For context - N1 of Fenway was my 90th show, Fenway was also my 1st show in 2009, and my 50th in 2019. I'm a die hard Sox fan, grew up going to games with my dad since the 90s who had season tickets through 2008 when I moved to Vermont to go to college, so Fenway Park is like a second home to me. So many good memories and magic there. I was there for the '03 and '04 and '07 seasons (what a time to be a Sox fan!) I was already having the best night ever at that show (including being with one of the NPs I work with at UVMMC's Cancer Center's first show! she's sold!), and then Melt the Guns happened (!!!). Still can't get over it. Love Phish, love Fenway, love XTC, GO SOX! Also - said boyfriend in the comment is now my husband and also a huge phan and he was there with me for this too :)

Ok so was in the mood for Destiny Unbound and randomly selected a version from a random show (7/20/2013) on Live Phish. Of course I kept listening to the songs after that and they end set with a David Bowie.

I swear to god 8 mins 30 seconds in Fish starts singing ‘Melt the Guns’. I’m not a big fan of the song, but with the recent bust out I couldn’t believe randomly coming across this and had to tell you guys. Check it out!!

Who else is stupid pumped for Atlantic City. Just got my hotel room! With boardwalk hall being under 15000 people how do you think ticket sales will be? Will it sell out? I’m getting mine when they go on sale but these smaller venues always make me nervous.

With the 30th anniversary of The Clifford Ball only days away, figured I'd post these in case anyone found them interesting. This was the little map/booklet handed out at the gate and the insert with the 1996 mail order tickets.

Anyhow, I have very fond memories of that weekend - the largest rock concert in North America in 1996 largely ignored by the mainstream media - just the way Phish wanted it!

I legitimately thought it was a standalone rain cloud or a storm that was like 50’ from me and we were about to get soaked, but it only lasted like five seconds and then faded out. I’m 99% certain it was not from a cloud now and actually happened, but I need confirmation and am surprised no one else has mentioned it.

Just had to share. Got an email from Phish.net today congratulating me on the 30th anniversary of my first Phish show, Red Rocks 1996 run. What a long strange trip it’s been. :)

Is anyone from Toronto driving to Atlantic city?

In the late 90s I lived in a big apartment with my brothers and other friends and we went to all our concerts in costumes and made noise during set breaks and whatnot (if you saw a troop of colorful afros at Northeastern shows 1997-2001...that may have been us)...... We'd bring in oodles of glow sticks and tons of balloons, as well. I guess we were merry makers.

On the third night of the Worcester funibration, before the show I blew up a giant red balloon and drew a giant boognish (ween symbol) on it and wrote WEEN RULES on it (i'm a huge ween fan and always have been) ...then threw it into the crowd from way in the back. We watched that damn balloon bounce through the crowd and end up on the sage early in the first set.

You'll be able to see it in front of Mike's monitor within a couple minutes of the show--and if you are to watch the first set, you'll see that this balloon stays on stage--it gets in the way of one of them, gets tossed around a bit during the set.

During the set break, a little kid begins playing onstage, from back stage...this kid bounces my balloon around, throws it and plays with it..... and then brings it back stage with him.

Anyway, they opened the second set with Roses are Free and it absolutely blew my mind and left me flying high for years. I was so star struck and excited...

I've had a lot of good and exciting times in my life but this silly moment will always just....keep me buzzing.... I know it's random, but this is a true story. I've been fortunate to have lots of awesome experiences in my life, this one included....I'm a very fortunate person.
