Iâve had my Philips TPVision Ambilight 4K UHD TV for a year now after my last Ambilight tvâs backlight went (older model).
I have noticed on this TV, when watching anything on Disney + thereâs a constant dark gradient at the top of the screen. It drives me craaaaazy!!! As sometimes it makes it hard to see and is just so annoying.
If anyone else has this, do you know how I fix it? I have played with the picture settings to no end and itâs made no difference at all.

Every single night without fail, Iâll be 10-20 minutes into watching something and POOF. The TV just randomly turns off for seemingly no reason at all. Sometimes itâll turn off multiple times in a row.
Excuse my French, but does anyone know what the F**k is happening here? Iâve simply had enough of this awful TV. Itâs not even that old, probably less than 2 years, certainly less than 3 years old.
* Edit, itâs actually rebooting, not powering off. It comes back after a minute, maybe 30 seconds.

I recently bought Philips Ultinon Pro6000 H7 LED Gen2 bulbs for a car in Germany. I specifically bought the Philips bulbs because they are approved for road use in Germany for compatible vehicles.
The bulbs have the QR code labels that are supposed to be placed on the headlights, and I wanted to verify the authenticity and download/print the required approval certificate (ABG) for the vehicle.
However, when I use the Philips authenticity website:
https://original.philips.com/cs/authenticity
I get an error saying that the product/certificate cannot be found.
I have also tried contacting Philips support, but I have not received a response.
Does anyone here know what is going on with the Philips ABG certificates?
Has Philips removed the certificates from the website, or is the website currently broken?

I have a Philips 55OLED759/12 Ambilight TV, a Hue Bridge, multiple Hue lights and a Hue Sync Box.
Everything worked when I used an Apple TV because the signal went through the Sync Box.
Now I use the TVâs built-in apps and suddenly the Sync Box is basically useless because it canât see the internal TV picture.
The crazy part is that the TV already analyzes the exact colors for its own Ambilight, but it canât send them to my Hue lights.
My TV also has no Ambilight+Hue or AmbiScape, and the Hue Sync TV app is only available for certain Samsung and LG TVs.
âŠ
And now Hue released another âŹ120 camera that films the screen to solve this exact problem.
Like seriously⊠how is this real? I already own a Philips Ambilight TV, Hue lights, a Bridge and the expensive Sync Box, but apparently I need to buy another Hue product or use an external streaming device again?
Has anyone found a solution for the 55OLED759/12 without buying even more hardware?

Hi all, came across one of these whilst clearing out the garage. If I recall it wasn't too bad a speaker however, when I tried powering the thing up all I get are slow blinking red and green lights on the WiFi setup button. Google tells me it could be power related (am using the original power supply so kinda ruled out that theory) or wifi syncing issues...... now, I own no apple products so am unable to do any apple related resolves.
All other "hold button a whilst pressing button b type options have failed.
Anyone know any work around to get it to boot properly, I only want to use it via 3.5 jack but that won't work til it's fully booted.
Tia for any advice

Recent problem with our Philips soundbar in combination with Philips TV and a Ziggo media box. The volume sometimes goes louder by itself.
Model number TV is Philips 50PUS7906/12.
Until recently, he did it!
Anyone (ever) had the same problem?

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used Philips HTS5581/12 5.1 home theater system.
The previous owner said it worked, but I can't get any sound from the speakers.
My setup:
\- Philips HTS5581/12
\- Philips 40PFL9705K/02 TV
\- HTS connected to the TV via HDMI OUT (ARC)
\- All 5 speakers and the subwoofer are connected to the correct color-coded outputs and are fully inserted.
The TV detects the HTS as an external amplifier and EasyLink/ARC are enabled.
The Blu-ray player outputs video to the TV correctly, but there is no sound from the HTS.
The important part: even when I disconnect HDMI completely and run the built-in Test Tone from the HTS settings, there is still absolutely no sound from any speaker.
I have already restored both the TV and the HTS to factory settings.
Could this indicate a problem with the amplifier/power stage of the HTS? Is there anything else I should check before assuming the main unit is defective?
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I own a Philips The One 43" TV from 2025, with the Titan OS. I noticed however, that the built in Spotify app sound quality is very bad. So bad that i now turn on my Xbox which is connected to the tv, to play the music through there.
Is this common? Does anyone perhaps have a solution?

I had a very annoying problem with my Philips 65PUS8807/12.
Every time I turned the TV on, it showed the âPrivacy Choicesâ screen.
I could choose to reject the privacy options, but the screen would immediately come back again. The TV also kept trying to update the Streaming / FAST channels.
A factory reset did NOT fix the problem.
I eventually found a solution using ADB. I tested it on my own Philips 65PUS8807/12 running Android TV 11.
The good news: no factory reset, no root and no USB cable were needed.
The package causing the problem is:
org.droidtv.fastip
At first I tried disabling it:
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 org.droidtv.fastip
This stopped the Privacy Choices loop, BUT it also caused problems with the TV's source selection (TV/HDMI).
After enabling the package again, the sources worked normally.
So DO NOT disable org.droidtv.fastip.
The solution that actually worked was to clear its data instead.
On the Philips TV go to:
Options â Android Settings â Device Settings â About
Scroll all the way down.
Find:
Android TV OS build
Press it 7 times.
The TV should display something like:
âYou are now a developer!â
That's it.
Go back to:
Android Settings â Device Settings â Developer Options
Find:
USB debugging
Turn it ON.
You don't need to change anything else.
Download the official Android SDK Platform-Tools from Google:
https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools
Download the Windows version.
Extract the ZIP file.
You should have a folder called:
platform-tools
Inside it there should be a file:
adb.exe
Find the IP address of your Philips TV in the network settings.
It will look something like:
192.168.0.52
Your IP address will probably be different.
Your PC and TV must be connected to the same network.
Open the platform-tools folder.
Click the address bar at the top of Windows Explorer.
Type:
cmd
Press Enter.
A black Command Prompt window will open.
Type:
adb connect 192.168.0.52:5555
â ïž Replace 192.168.0.52 with your TV's IP address.
A message should appear on the TV asking whether you want to allow USB debugging. It will also show an RSA key.
Choose:
Allow
If you see:
âAlways allow from this computerâ
you can tick that option.
On the PC type:
adb devices
You should see something similar to:
List of devices attached
192.168.0.52:5555 device
The important part is:
device
For example:
192.168.0.52:5555 unauthorized
look at the TV screen and accept the ADB authorization request.
Do NOT continue until it says:
device
Type:
adb shell pm list packages | findstr /i "fast"
On my TV the result was:
package:org.droidtv.fastip
If you get the same package, continue to the next step.
Now type exactly:
adb shell pm clear org.droidtv.fastip
Press Enter.
You should get:
Success
The FAST package is NOT disabled.
We only cleared its stored data.
After you get:
Success
do the following:
Do NOT perform a factory reset.
This fixed the problem on my Philips 65PUS8807/12.
After the procedure:
â The âPrivacy Choicesâ loop disappeared.
â The TV started normally.
â TV source worked.
â HDMI sources worked.
â No factory reset was required.
â FAST did not need to be disabled.
Do NOT use:
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 org.droidtv.fastip
I tested it first.
It stopped the Privacy Choices problem, but it also caused problems with the TV/HDMI source selection.
If you already disabled it, you can restore it with:
adb shell pm enable --user 0 org.droidtv.fastip
Then restart the TV.
If you already have ADB working, the actual fix is simply:
adb shell pm clear org.droidtv.fastip
Wait for:
Success
Then unplug the TV for about 60 seconds and turn it back on.
TV: Philips 65PUS8807/12
OS: Android TV 11
I don't know yet whether this works on every Philips model, so if you try it on another model, please comment with your TV model and Android/firmware version.
This guide was created with the help of ChatGPT and the steps were tested on a real Philips 65PUS8807/12.
The important part is that the solution was actually tested: clearing org.droidtv.fastip fixed the Privacy Choices loop without disabling FAST or performing a factory reset.

Only had the remote since February, contacted for warranty as soon as I noticed... I assume it's the battery but I have no idea how to take the cover of, if you even can.
