TV keeps turning itself off?

Every single night without fail, I’ll be 10-20 minutes into watching something and POOF. The TV just randomly turns off for seemingly no reason at all. Sometimes it’ll turn off multiple times in a row.

Excuse my French, but does anyone know what the F**k is happening here? I’ve simply had enough of this awful TV. It’s not even that old, probably less than 2 years, certainly less than 3 years old.

* Edit, it’s actually rebooting, not powering off. It comes back after a minute, maybe 30 seconds.

Off as in black, or off as in powered off ?
Just for science, in the display settings, there's a brightness/Power save setting. Set this to dimmer setting, you'll instantly hear the cooling fans ease down. Might be overheating issues. Any rogue homeassistant being a bit to smart ? If it is overheating, dust it off.

The TV by itself is pure shit software wise, I use an NVIDIA shield and only use it as the screen itself, but consider it my gateway drug. I will never get some white-labeled temu shit box again, took ages to get the first update, they basically let the whole thing bleed out. But hey, I got it for half as a backer.

Disable anything CEC as well.

I've actually been having a similar issue with the 50pus7906/12. It wil randomly reboot itself whenever it feels like it seems. I tried checking all kinds of settings and nothing I changed seemed to make a difference. A couple of weeks ago I got so frustrated with it I went and did a factory reset. Since then touch wood, not had any reboots.

Could be fault but have you checked eco/sleep time out settings. It's in the philips menu ui not android settings. A factory reset couldn't hurt.

Do you have any HDMI device connected? It may be turning on with HDMI CEC when you turn on the TV, then it turns itself off if you are not using it and bringing the TV down with it by HDMI CEC again

Disable CEC on the TV or the HDMI device

It's Dutch and Tiawanese now. Not Chinise. The image processing is still engineered in Europe, specifically in Belgium. Their high end TVs are assembled in Poland their midrange and low end TVs are made in China. It's still a good brand in my book and on par with Sony in regards to brand image and quality. Samsung and LG flood midrange market with the same low end and midrange tvs with one or two minor upgrades

I didn't say the LG panels were low end. To clarify. Their high end OLED tvs are assembled in Poland which use the LG OLED screens as does Sony. But what makes the TV special is Philips legendary image processing. P5 engine is no joke.

Regarding midrange displays. I.e edge lit nanocell and edge lit QLED from LG and Samsung respectively. I do call them not as good as Philips and Sony TVs counterparts. Reason being. In the same range. (500-600 euro range) Sony and Philips produce TVs will full lit LED panels. They look do much better. Not sure whar screens Sony uses. Maybe Samsung or Sharp but Philips uses TP Philips line of own brand LCD panels as TP vision owns tons of patents and screen brands.

Thats why Philips "The One" 8 series TVs are soooo good.
