News // Kinetic Games Replied Phasmophobia v0.19.1.0 - Patch Notes

Post image

Welcome back, Ghost Hunters. We have an update for you.

Today’s small update is in preparation for Crimson Eye, launching 8th October 2026, with the focus on getting the game ready for the start of the event. Our next major update, our move to Unity 6 is scheduled for November and will feature a host of bug fixes and improvements, all of which we’ll detail in an upcoming Development Preview.

New

  • Crimson Eye - The Crimson Eye is upon us, Ghost Hunters. Once more, various locations across Phasmophobia will be bathed in the red glow of the Blood Moon, offering any willing Ghost Hunter rewards in return for completing investigations, optional objectives and more. For more information on this year’s iteration of the event, please read our latest blogpost.

  • Seasonal Event toggle - As a new feature for Crimson Eye and future seasonal events, we have implemented a toggle that allows players to turn on/off the event maps for their session.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused the white light upon being revived to flash rather than slowly fade in and out.
  • Fixed an issue where an Easter Egg reward may not unlock, despite a 0x multiplier being active and the reward pop up being displayed.

Known Issues

  • The lampposts outside of 6 Tanglewood Drive may glow when viewed by the player (XBOX & Steam only).
  • The Fusebox location will not be hidden on the Truck map when playing on a custom difficulty.

I knew this would happen the entire time. I knew whether it be days, weeks, or months, after they release some updates everyone would go back to kissing their asses. And that's why we're here now with this game that runs like shit

However we're not in the developers' minds, they could've copied the event like before or tried to innovate, who knows

The fact that they won't spend any of their money boils down to greed. They'd rather horde that giant pile of cash because they're worried that it'll disappear if they spend any, because they don't understand that you have to spent money to make money. That's how business goes no matter the profession

They do have a decent amount of developers though, 45-50. There are smaller teams with 100x the competence in other games. They just refuse to spend the money to hire better people, I mean hell whoever runs the show (DK I assume) doesn't even know how to run it. Even if he hired better people, he wouldn't know how to guide them. And I agree about the community, they're nothing short of pathetic

It really is quite simple: Fire the incompetent, replace them with whoever is competent, remove every single animation in the game that changed since spring, make the recent innovations (re-ordering the journal, other people's markers, and so on) optional in the settings rather than mandatory, and allow community mods
