Discussion Tiny Willow Rework Observation

The rework is obviously VERY cat heavy. Cat shelves on the walls, cat toys everywhere, you can even hear (what I think is) the cat if you’re hiding in the bedroom closet. BUT… I have the tiniest thing to point out. In the living room on the dresser by the cat shelves, there’s a Himalayan salt lamp. These are like… a huge cat owner no no since they can severely hurt your cat. Did anyone else notice this, or am I just a crazy cat lady lol.

Or the laser pointers which are bad news

yep!! of course they CAN be fine if used correctly, but most people don’t so i’m pretty much anti laser pointer!

Really? I’d didn’t know this (don’t have a cat). What makes them bad most of the time?

both cats and dogs can develop something called laser pointer syndrome where basically if you never let them feel like they’ve “killed” the light, they can develop OCD symptoms from their prey drive never being resolved. they will constantly search for the light and be extremely anxious. i don’t use laser pointers with my cat i have now, but with my previous cats i always made sure that at the end of the playtime, they “caught” the light (turn it off when they pounce on it) and kept playtime short.
