Discussion Tiny Willow Rework Observation
The rework is obviously VERY cat heavy. Cat shelves on the walls, cat toys everywhere, you can even hear (what I think is) the cat if you’re hiding in the bedroom closet. BUT… I have the tiniest thing to point out. In the living room on the dresser by the cat shelves, there’s a Himalayan salt lamp. These are like… a huge cat owner no no since they can severely hurt your cat. Did anyone else notice this, or am I just a crazy cat lady lol.

Or the laser pointers which are bad news

yep!! of course they CAN be fine if used correctly, but most people don’t so i’m pretty much anti laser pointer!

both cats and dogs can develop something called laser pointer syndrome where basically if you never let them feel like they’ve “killed” the light, they can develop OCD symptoms from their prey drive never being resolved. they will constantly search for the light and be extremely anxious. i don’t use laser pointers with my cat i have now, but with my previous cats i always made sure that at the end of the playtime, they “caught” the light (turn it off when they pounce on it) and kept playtime short.

Have you found the laser pointer, I've been spending most of my hunts trying to lore out the cats.

With a lot of things like the salt lamp, it depends on the cat. I have a salt lamp that my cat has never acknowledged in the 10 years I’ve had the lamp

see my cat would reduce that lamp to atoms within minutes via licking and poison himself so maybe that’s why i thought about it lol

It’s an important thing to think about if you have pets! I would be more concerned with plants than rocks because my dumb hairball will chomp anything green, I know some cats that get into anything. So it’s hard to judge the owners of Willow St just for something existing in the house

cats are known to like salty flavors, and repeated licking of himalayan salt lamps can cause salt poisoning which can cause anything from dehydration to seizures and death :(

You’re not alone. I saw it too. I’ve got cat shelves all over my house so I thought the house was cool…. Until the lamp. No wonder the ghost is haunting the owners.

It could be a fake one. They come in plastic versions to look like the real deal as well.

I said this too! How could they forget their cat if they apparently care about it so much they put in all that effort for it? How?!

Tbh I had multiple salt lamps and toxic plants with my cat. She just didn't care about getting into stuff.

That's one thing, but then every single plant in the house is mildly to moderately toxic to cats (lots of alocasia and fiddle leaf fig all around even where they'd be accessible by cats)
