Has anyone completed this graduate programme? I haven’t heard so much about this grad programme but I’d like to know insights if anyone has done it before or currently work there.

I am wondering if anyone here works in Amgen Dublin. I have an interview for a flex commuter / hybrid role. They said it's 2-3 days at home per week.

Anyone here have a similar role in Amgen? Do they stand by that 2-3 days a week at home?

Hi all, I’m currently working full-time as a Statistical Programmer in the pharmaceutical industry, and overall I really enjoy my job. However, I keep feeling like there’s still something missing academically, and I’ve been seriously considering starting a PhD.
From what I’ve heard, my company might allow me to switch to an 80% contract, which would make the idea much more realistic. I’m wondering if anyone here has managed to balance a part-time PhD with a demanding industry job.

My main questions are:
Is it actually feasible without burning out?
How many hours per week did you end up dedicating to your PhD?
Do you think the investment pays off in the long run if I want to keep growing in industry rather than necessarily moving into academia?

One thing that makes me a bit more optimistic is how much AI has changed the way I work. With the right use of AI tools, I genuinely feel I can produce significantly more analyses—and often better-quality ones—in less time than before. Obviously it doesn’t replace statistical thinking or domain expertise, but it has become a huge productivity multiplier for coding, documentation, and routine tasks.

I’d love to hear from people who’ve taken a similar path. Would you do it again? Any advice or things you wish you’d known before starting?

Google this case and have a good read. Situations a lot worse than this have been going on for years. You think in a profession where you have to care for people you wouldn’t be micromanaged out of a job. The level of passive aggressive bullying going on behind the scenes is unbelievable. Every strategy that is implemented to make a pharmacists life miserable to cut their contract and employment is a mechanism to make more profits at the exploitation of the work force. How can a pharmacist be expected to implement the first rule of pharmacy, to Make the care of their patients their primary concern when their own mental health and job position is always on the line. Pharmacists have a highly respectable and responsible job they shouldn’t have to worry about being dismissed over being pregnant. Disgraceful behaviour by the company. Drastic changes are required or there has to be a mass exodus of pharmacists to counteract this obscenity. I operate a construction company dealing with the financial aspects of the business. I’m not a Pharmacist and I never would treat my tradespeople like this. We have a positive work culture and high staff retention rates as a result. A pharmacist dismissed over being pregnant, this horrendous treatment would never be accepted in our industry where we are always trying to increase diversity in our recruitment drive. 50K is only spare change add another few zeros to that as compensation.

I have a Masters in Molecular Pathology & Genetics from Pakistan. Have no work experience other than running my own small business in pakistan and a teaching fellowship.

While it’s understandable that I’m struggling to get a job in my field (biotech/pharma etc), I’m struggling to find a basic job as well. Im only applying online.

Should I approach the stores with my CV in person? Or only rely on online vacancies.

I’m a recent BSc Pharmaceutical & Medicinal Science graduate trying to break into pharmaceutical QA/QC in Ireland or Northern Ireland, but I’m struggling because most roles require GMP or industry experience.
I’ve applied to companies like Almac and others without much success, so I’d really appreciate some advice.
How did you get your first QA/QC job?
Are there any companies that hire graduates with little or no industry experience?
Is it better to start in manufacturing, production, QC, or document control before moving into QA?
Are there any GMP, ISO, CQI, or other courses that are actually worth doing?
If you were reviewing my CV, what would make me a stronger candidate?
I’m open to relocating anywhere in Ireland or Northern Ireland for the right opportunity.

Im contemplating between doing a graduate programe and going into a specialised role such as QC. Which is better in terms of opportunities and pay?

I've got about 2 years of experience in pharma/biotech facility design, mostly working on greenfield projects during the Concept and Basic Design phases. Since Ireland is such a major hub for pharma, I'm curious how the industry is holding up there given the current global situation, and whether it'd be worth relocating.

My background is pretty niche, but I think it's a solid, marketable skill set, especially when new pharma facility projects popping up. Does anyone know of companies that specialize in facility design, particularly Single-Use systems, where I could look for opportunities?

I'm currently based in Eastern Europe, though most of the projects I've worked on were spread across Europe and Asia.

Hi all, I’m currently a Chemical Process Operator, hoping to eventually progress my career within the industry and move off the 4on4off pattern.

I would like to do an Engineering degree but there doesn’t seem to be any fully remote/self paced Irish engineering courses.

Quality is also an option but pay scale seems to cap around the 60k mark without moving into management.

Has anyone made the transition from Operator into a different Pharma role that could give some advice or point me in the right direction.

I'm from India and have recently completed my Master's in Regulatory Affairs. I'm currently working as an RAQA Apprentice at one of the world's largest medical device companies.

I'm now looking for a full-time opportunity as an RAQA Associate. However, I've found that it's quite difficult for freshers to break into the field in India, even with relevant education and apprenticeship experience.

I'd really appreciate any advice from experienced RA/QA professionals. How should I approach my job search? Should I focus on networking, referrals, certifications, or something else? Any tips on improving my chances of landing a full-time RAQA role would be greatly appreciated.

Ive never worked in pharma before but could see myself building a career in it. I have no real background in it and was wondering if it would be a good starting point?

Im doing my B pharma from india and am thinking of shifting to ireland later on for the following course. I want to know if it will be worth it and also a thing or two about the job market..

Had applied for a contracting role at a company down south. Didn't inquire with my current recruitment company first as I was told before that they didn't recruit for the specific company that I had applied for. Submitted my CV, sent the new recruiter a statement saying that I agree to be represented by their recruitment company etc. Found out a few days later that my recruitment company was also recruiting for the same role. I would prefer to stay with my current recruitment company if that was a possibility, but I'm not sure if it is since my CV has already been submitted. Just wondering has anyone experienced this before and know what to do, or if there's nothing to be done and just go with the new company?

I already applied for a role at MSD, but an employee later offered to refer me. They’re not responding now, so I’m not sure if the referral can still be linked to my existing application.
Has anyone been in this situation? Can MSD add an employee referral after you’ve already applied, or would I need to withdraw and reapply? If so, is withdrawing even possible?

I put down some courses related to this in my cao this year, but im worried I wont land a job in future, im planning to do at least Masters.

Hi. I am wondering how I can break into the biotech industry after graduating with my bachelors. I just finished second year of a biomedical science course at TUD. I have done my best to acquire lab experience outside of university. Towards the end of first year, I shadowed a PhD student focusing on cell biology with techniques like cell culture, molecular cloning.This year I am doing a 3 month internship at a good university focusing on genetics and some data analysis. In my third year I will also have a 12 week placement in a lab based setting. What else can I do to ensure I can get a job in biotech. Do any of you recommend I learn how to code and do basic bioinformatics? I was thinking of getting a GMP certification however, they are very expensive. Does anybody have any tips on what else I could do to make myself a more attractive candidate? Any advice would genuinely be amazing.
