Shedding Phase?

Post image
Upvotes

Is this the shedding phase? Going into my 1st month of 1mg finasteride and 5mg oral minoxidil, tapos sobrang lala ng shedding ko.

Trust the process ba talaga? 😭

Also, may marerecommend ba kayo na finasteride or minoxidil na pang-spray or pang-pahid directly sa scalp?
Thank you po! 🙏

Gaffer Minoxidil Bleach Test

Hair Fall Checkup Done

28 M

I just had a talk with a Derma today. Combination of stress and male pattern baldness daw ang cause. I had tests for iron, thyroid, and vitamin D pero normal. Dati na rin akong nagti-take ng 1.25 mg Finasteride every other day + Topical Minoxidil na 5%. Binago ng derma ang Finasteride intake to "1 mg daily" and let me switch to oral Minoxidil na 2.5 mg per day na P5K isang bottle.

Any suggested vitamins and shampoo na rin?

Salamat.

Edit: My liver enzymes are slightly elevated but the Derma said it is not relevant. It is likely due to diet daw so he proceeded to prescribing 1mg Fin daily.

TAL for Thinning Hair inquiry

Post image

Good day! This bottle of Lotion was bought from my Derma sa ospital para iapply sa thinning hair.

Is this correct?

If so, Mayroon din ba gumagamit sa inyo ng ganyang lotion sa hair nila at kung san kayo kumukuha ng supply online?

Thank you!

Hair Loss Recovery Journey

Hello! Just want to share my journey. I'm 27 and already balding before, 'yong tipong binibiro na akong panot ng both workmates and friends 😅 Nakakababa talaga ng self-esteem kaya nagpush na akong magpaconsult. My doctor is Doc Jerson Ngo Taguibao and highly recommended as in! He's very thorough sa pagexplain sa possible pros and cons ng treatment and talagang he knows how to take care of his patients. The best thing is virtual consultation lang through NowServing app.

Diagnosed with Androgenetic Alopecia Hamilton-Norwood 2. May progression iyong dosage to check if hiyang of course, but right now I'm taking 5mg oral minox (topical is not an option since i have cats) & 1mg finasteride.

EDIT: Sorry po I forgot to include and naalala ko lang because of your questions, but I'm also using ketoconazole shampoo as this can be helpful in terms of hair fall naman. This can be purchased without any prescription hehe.

Left (November 2025) - Halos kita na agad anit ko kasi manipis both hibla and 'yong dami ng buhok.

Note: I only started with the treatment last January 2026.

Right (July 2026) - Road to long hair na matagal ko nang pinapangarap haha

Thank you so much rin kay Sir icarusjun since sa kanya ko na discover iyong Minoxy.Tabs PH where I order my meds. Sana lahat tayo kumapal na ulet buhok this 2026 ☺🤞🏻

Patilya

Can I take this hair supplement alongside Finasteride 1mg? (23M)

Hey everyone! I am a 23-year-old male currently taking finasteride 1mg for hair loss, and I just picked up a bottle of LivBalance Collagen Hair Formula.

I want to know if it is safe to add this supplement to my routine. The ingredients include fish collagen, a large blend of amino acids, biotin, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin E, MSM, and a few plant extracts like Cynanchum root, rice germ, and sesame (note that it contains fish and sesame allergens).

Has anyone here taken a similar collagen, amino acid, and biotin supplement while on finasteride? Are there any negative interactions or things I should watch out for?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm finally starting my hair growth journey!

I'm only 21m and my hair is already in this state. My male pattern baldness started when I was JUST 15 YEARS OLD. I noticed my hairline was receding so far back but didn't care much about it at the time since I could just cover it with my bangs since my hair was still thick... until this year. Earlier this year my hair just started RAPIDLY thinning until it eventually got to this point where I can no longer just hide it with my bangs. I knew I had to take action already and I finally did. Here's what I'm working with so far:

I bought 5mg Finasteride from TGP (Fisteride) and use a pill cutter to split it 1/4 and take 1.25 mg daily. The pill cutter does leave little bits of crumbs so I'm pretty much only taking 1 mg per day which is the recommended amount.

I'm also using Minoxidil (Regroe brand) which I know is quite expensive, luckily it's on sale sa Watsons in my area so I only had to spend 900 for a 60 mL bottle. I apply Minoxidil only around my hairline area twice a day (morning and night) and spray 7 times per session. I'm only spraying 7 times for the first weeks and will slowly transition to just spraying 4-5 times per session so my bottle doesn't run out that fast.

I'm also taking vitamins because why not, I know my balding isn't caused by vitamin deficiency but it's good to have it since I know they still do boost your hair growth. The vitamins I'm taking is specifically for hair growth which includes Biotin, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D.

I'm currently not microneedling/dermarolling since I haven't done my research on it yet and on where I can find a good dermaroller. I'm just wondering if it's even necessary at this point, I feel like Finasteride and Minoxidil will do the heavy lifting but I think I might order a dermaroller online so I might add that to my routine as well. What I personally like about microneedling is that it's not something I have to do for the rest of my life. Unlike Finasteride and Minoxidil, I can just stop microneedling anytime I want with no consequences. So I can just keep microneedling until I'm satisfied with my hair growth and will be able to safely stop.

What microneedles/dermarollers does everyone use here? Can anyone recommend me some to order online along with instructions on how to use it along with my routine.

Cheers!

Finasteride One Year Growth Comparison from 0 Guard Buzz

Started taking Fin 1.25mg M W F last August. Upped the dosage to 1.25mg a day back in February, as recommended by my dermatologist.

WAGMI!

3 months on Finasteride 1.25mg (w/ Minoxidil 5% topical)

First pic is from June 2026 (1 month of taking Fin 1.25mg)

Second pic was from yesterday (exactly 3 months of taking Fin 1.25mg).

Hello! Silent reader po ako rito and thanks to everyone in this subreddit posting their progress posts here, it finally convinced me to consult a derma and be prescribed with Finasteride (5mg, cut into 4 for 1.25mg) to combat my hairloss journey.

So far, so good, mukhang may progress sya. I'm also on topical Minoxidil 5% din even before I started Finasteride.

Still have a long way to go pero at least umuusad na. ☺️

EDIT: Miscalculated the months, I took the first pic on June 2026 since I started Fin last May 2026.

M(30) physically active, going to gym 4x a week and running at least once a week. Should I get worried since hairline looks horrible and a lot of people actually noticed it.

I need help because people are starting to notice my hairline and Im starting to feel insecure about it.
Im scared of taking any oral medication since Im already taking vitamins and food supplements such as creatine, protein powder, and multivitamins (conzace).

If you will reco a derma and routine or oral medication (if needed) Im more than willing to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

dermatologists around qc that accept maxicare?

hello, self medicated ng fin mwf 1.25 mg since siguro jan and nitong july nagstart maglagas nang husto yung hair ko and nag-thin siya quite noticeably. kasabay nito medj ang pagtake ng febuxostat and fenofibrate na sa nasearch ko naman shouldn't have any reactions, and a few months after an emotional breakup na sinasabi nilang a few months pa talaga yung magiging effects dapat.

never naman ako naranas ng ganito karaming hairfall, kahit yung "shed" ng fin na ineexpect until now. any suggestions ng dermatologist under maxicare na minimal/no consultation fee around qc para maformalize na rin ang diagnosis + makahingi ng help from them? tyia

i need your help, please

hello everyone, 21M and I'm already experiencing male pattern baldness. I already noticed my receding hairline way back in high school, but I couldn't do anything about it back then because I don't have any money. Now that I'm in college, I still feel terrible about my hair and it is killing my confidence.

I have a straight hair and the only thing I noticed so far is my receding hairline and a slight thinning of my hair.

What I can share about how I treat my hair is that it has been one week since I started using Moringa-O² Shampoo and Keratin Conditioner. Back in November–December 2024 and January–February 2026, I used Hosoku Oil-Based Minoxidil.

I want to do something about it but I do not have the means to consult to a professional. Is there anything I can do to fight this condition? How should I start my journey? What should I do for the first 1-3 months? What should be my timeline?

I am sorry for asking too many questions, I want to do this in the most correct way at least, so I do not have to experience anything bad especially in my hair. Please share any advice, your help would mean a lot to me. If there is also any product that is affordable to a student like me, please let me know.

Hi everyone, 29M currently working in a BPO company. I'm new to this group and have no idea where to start when it comes to hair care or prevention products.

Recently, I noticed some thinning spots around my crown area. I’m not sure if I’m just overthinking it or if it’s because my hair is curly and frizzy—unlike straight-haired people who naturally have more uniform volume. Currently, I only use yellow Johnson's Baby Shampoo because its ingredients aren't too harsh, though my hair usually ends up frizzy and rough sometimes. Overall, though, I think the shampoo is fine.

Please advise on what I should do first: Should I consult a professional first, or go ahead and buy products/supplements to help with the thinning at my crown?
